An incredibly clean, modern facility, equipped with couches, a flat screen television and plenty of setting in the waiting room, it's a stark contrast to what I had been anticipating. I was seen on time and was taken back to a maze of dressing rooms and lockers. After a brief wait (and one hilariously giganticous hospital robe later), I was brought into the imaging room by two friendly and accommodating technicians. A little nervous and totally terrified after the last MRI, they reassured me this would be completely different and made sure I was entirely comfortable before starting. The full procedure took roughly 50 minutes and I was able to choose music to listen to during the process. The MRI itself was definitely a lot more comfortable than the closed machine we had attempted previously: I will warn you however, if you're claustrophobic and pick the open MRI, definitely snag a blanket 'cause it was frigid up in there. My only issue was after being told there would be no copay by both the referring physician's office as well as the previous imaging center who set up the appointment for me, I was charged $140. Which.. surprised me (and not in the good way). When I inquired about this, the receptionist informed me that my insurance changed and no longer covered MRI's copay free (which was also kinda strange since the difference in appointments was just a two day weekend). Later when I called my insurance they insisted there was no copay and claimed they were sending me payment. Overall, still, a good experience and totally recommended for those needing imaging done.

The best thing to do is go all the way to the back (Lower level) and park back there, RIMI has their own doors and that's where they are located. Conveniently located near the Atwood urgent care, and Atwood/hartford. The clothing you have to put on is pretty size inclusive (I wear a 3x) & you can lock your belongings up as well.

I called to make sure they had everything they needed and that they had CORRECTLY filed this as covered by insurance, as screenings are and i fit the criteria for medical necessity. They confirmed it. Multiple times. Spent about 30 minutes on the phone. The rep was a poor listener, but she seemed adamant that everything was going to be ok. She spoke over me, but I figured she was doing her best. She even called me back that day to let me know that she AND her husband both had lung cancer and everything was going to be ok (?) and that the screening was important. Weeks later... It's less than 24 hours before the appointment - REMI called to say they never received the order with the "MPI" and need it re-sent. OK, no problem. This began a marathan of calling: I called, my doctor called, she faxed it it again. I called to confirm receipt, my doctor called. REMI claimed never to have received it. I called, my doctor called - the order was sent a third time. They said they were CANCELLING my lung cancer screening, that they receive alllllllll faxes for the entire state, so faxes could take 24 hours to receive, and simultaneously claimed over and over and over that they haven't received the fax. I asked them how frequent an issue is not receiving faxes? Once in awhile, REMI said. NO. That is factually incorrect. According to reviews, this is a common issue. What a fucked up practice. Patients are already anxious, and then scereenings are just cancelled? On top of everything else, they suggested I pick up the order IN PERSON from my primary care and deliver it to them by hand. What in the actual fuck is going on at REMI???

A few minutes later a friendly young male nurse named teddy called my name and walked us to the changing rooms he said one parent could be in the room with me the whole time so I picked my dad he changed into scrubs and into the room we went. The technologist and teddy the nurse were wonderful with me and I really appreciate it. Thank you both so much for taking great care of me.

Receptionist asked me to sign the "Acknowledgment of Receipt Of Privacy Policy" without actually offering me a copy of the privacy policy (total and complete HIPPAA violation). 2. Receptionist was wearing a mask. Small sign on the desk explained that this was because she had opted out of receiving the flu vaccine and thus was wearing a mask during flu season to protect patients per R.I. state law. Fine. However, mask was only covering her mouth, NOT nose. This does ZERO to protect anyone.

My wait was barely 5 minutes. The x-ray technician was very nice and charismatic. She knew exactly what she was doing and I was in and out within 10-15 minutes. My visit was exactly what the ideal office visit should be, quick and efficient with competent staff. RI Medical Imaging will be my go to office for x-rays and alike in the future.

I needed to get my bloodwork for my annual physical checkup. Melissa was really friendly and nice to me. I told her I hate needles and she made me very comfortable by telling me that she was going to use a baby needle and a butterfly to minimize any pain or discomfort. The procedure was easy and painless. I was very happy with it. The network of laboratories in MA and RI, offer full-service, stat/urgent testing, and most reference testing, as well as comprehensive anatomic pathology and cytology services. I fully recommend. The office is very small overall but cozy. There is one woman who works here and she is splendid. Extremely nice and professional. I mentioned to her that I have an issue with needles and that I will never out grow my fear unfortunately, and she was completely sympathetic. She used a needle one size down from the one she normally would use in order for me to not feel it. You know, I didn't! I was very thankful! She also took the time to explain the glucose test process. The office is very clean and well kept. There is some reading material, but nothing that interested me so my suggestion is to bring something to read if you think you will be awhile. My ONLY reason for the 4 stars is because they are not open weekends. I had come here Saturday morning as to try and avoid interrupting my work week and the hours, which are posted right on the door, only show Monday-Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm. So the only time I could do this was a weekday morning.

Also, if there's an issue with locating a vein they don't poke around. A simple butterfly (think that's the name) will be inserted. Rarely that's the case with me lbut it's happened at hospitals and other facilities - the constant poking with no blood. Here they remember and she finds the correct spot first try everytime. The intake is a bit lengthy but they do it right and unlike East Side they do it in front of you and explain any questions before you initial or sign. Again other places treat you like a deli order and you sit in the waiting room until they do the paperwork and surprise surprise, I've gotten bills for things my insurance didn't cover at East Side where Quest will look and make sure all is well. Even with the short hours - I'm giving this 5 stars because of the quality of service. Besides, I usually have to fast anyway so it's not an issue. It's a walk in & appointment so those that get angry, make an appointment.
