We were staying at Iron Horse on a recent trip to Winter Park. We have our own equipment, but needed kids rentals. We reserved for their Iron Horse location (right in base of condos) online and picked up without incident. The employee there to fit the kiddos and check us out was personable and professional. They did have some reduced hours in the evenings due to staffing issues, but it didn't impact us at all. We even rented another pair of boots for someone in our party that had some issues with theirs. No issues with that either. We drove by their main location in Frasier one evening while we were out to dinner. It's much larger and is clearly their main focus, but I'm super grateful someone services the iron horse location, as it was extremely convenient for our group. read more

I dropped off 2 pairs of skis on a Sunday to be waxed and edged and was told they would be ready on Monday at 7am paid $80. Arrived at 9:30 and was told skis were not done. No appology given money was refunded and this will be the last time I use this business. I have purchased skis from them in the past and obviously this business has changed its standard of customer service. I have a mid week pass at Winter Park and skied the first day without having them waxed and edged very disappointed because I only ski 5 days a year. read more

I made reservations online November 25th for pickup January 5th for demo skis and prepaid. I arrived and was given basic skis. When I pointed it out I was told there were no demo skis available. I asked about being refunded the difference and was told that they don't issue refunds. I ended up turning my skis in a day early, because they were so much worse than what I'm used to. They also refused to refund the extra day when I returned them early and explained my reasoning. This was the first time I'd ever tried Ski Broker, but I never will again. The experience at Christy Sports is so much better than this cracker jack establishment. Imagine booking a trip 6 weeks out and being told what you rented AND PAID FOR they didn't have in stock, and that they were keeping all of your money. Edit: I forgot to add that the bindings on one of the ski had loosened substantially and I had to get them fixed on the slopes. read more

Was guaranteed ski tune up would be ready by 8 am after dropping them off previous day at 2. Showed up at 8:30 and the place is a disaster. Skis not ready and was told 30 min more. Sloped are opened up and tickets already paid for, but now we have to wait cuz this business can't get it together? Do not overpromise and underdeliver. Your customers will never come back, especially when you cost them more time and money , which is a terrible way to start a day on the slopes read more

Not sure what the hype is about. Place isn't fully open yet and doesn't tune skis. It's a rental place but pretty bare bones still. Best to stick with thE established places in town for now. When we first showed up at Ski Brokers we felt a little rushed. Being spring break this is understandable. They still did an ok job of taking care of us. The real service, however, came when no one's boots fit the next day. I don't know WTF happened, but we had 3 adults and 2 kids whom had problems with their boots. Sure, they seemed fine the day before when we tried them on, but for some reason they didn't fit the next day. We ended up going to the Winter Park store and got replacements. They weren't so busy at that time and we got great service. After that, all went well. and we extended our rentals 3 days. They were very, very fair on the price. From our experience I would recommend Ski Broker for certain, but your mileage may vary. /BTW the equipment on the mountain looked better to me, but it also ran $10+ more. read more

I brought my kids out to Winter Park to go skiing for the first time and needed to get equipment. Ski Broker was close to where we were staying and the prices seemed good so we went there. Pros: - They were quick to get us equipment (maybe too quick - see Cons) - Prices were reasonable Cons: - I originally put down 4 days of skiing but we ended up only skiing 3 (My kids' choice, not mine). I brought the equipment back after the 3rd day (that afternoon after skiing) and they still charged me for the 4th day. I pointed it out and they said they don't refund customers for bringing back equipment early. They said I should have put down less time and just called to extend. Seems like a bad policy. - They gave one of my kids poles that were too short. read more

I have used Ski Broker for many consecutive years when a group of us from Detroit travel to Winter Park / Mary Jane each year for our annual ski trip. Always been a pretty good experience until this year our trip was abruptly cancelled after Winter Park Resort shut down in the middle of March, 2020 due to COVID-19. I reached out to Ski Broker on March 16, 2020 and was told by an associate Mike they had my paper work and would issue a credit to my credit card for $160.00. After that date I was unable to speak to anyone or get a reply until November 16, 2020. In addition, I have left many voice and emails inquiring about the same issue and the phone goes directly to voicemail up until the recording stated the mail box was full. We have always had positive experiences in the past with Ski Broker but I must say that I am disappointed that I find myself repeatedly asking for assistance on getting my refund to no avail. It should also be noted that four of my travel companions did receive their reservation refunded at about the same time I spoke with Mike back in March. I also spoke with one of the managers last week - Ben G. - and was told that because they now use a third party for online reservations and after four months they typically cannot process claims beyond that time. He also stated that "Mike" was no longer with the company and there are new owners of Ski Broker - like this issue wasn't there fault and somehow mine. I informed him that I called immediately when the ski resorts shut down and that I could not reach anyone to follow up on this request until I was actually able to speak to someone last week. I am still hopeful that this will be resolved as I could really use that money as we navigate through the current COVID-19 situation. I had hoped that Ski Broker would do the right thing and resolve this but I now find myself going to extreme measures such as contacting the Better Business Bureau for help. read more

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! We walked in devastated that the local rental shop in Granby called 'The Breeze' didn't hold up their end of our reservation for our families skis. We reserved them online but that company doesn't hold your reservation. It is still first come first serve with an attitude. We barely got our equipment and my little 6 yr old daughter was the only one out of the 5 of us without ANYTHING. We scrambled looking online for another store and went down to Ski Broker. They were so happy to help get a smile back on her face! Ryan was so pleasant and stopped everything he was doing to help us out. I couldn't believe the extra mile Ryan and his coworker did for my family!
