I had a calzone and salad waiting for me at home 2 weeks ago from my roommate, and it was…read moreexcellent. I'm not sure what happened with my newest visit. First off, I was able to order online from their website. I had tried a couple times to order from the website, and it wasn't working, so I was pretty happy this time worked. I ordered the fold plus extra mozzarella, sauce, and a small strawberry fields salad. This is my normal order from this company over several locations and years. When I arrived to pick up my carryout order, I was impressed by the openness and cleanliness of the restaurant. However, the employee was not friendly. Like, not even a little bit. Asked for my name and handed me my food, no smiles, no thank you, nothing. I wasn't too concerned, it happens, and you can be as rude as you want to me as long as my food is correct. Sadly, it wasn't. So, the salad was great as always. The calzone, my poor calzone, was like they only put mozzarella. It had a very sad dollop of ricotta in one tip, and the mozzarella, which mind you I paid extra for extra, was literally a fraction of the amount it should be. My calzone was basically flat. Also, barely any parmesan on top, no garlic oil, just not at all what I was expecting. I was super bummed and didn't have the time to go back. Will I try this location again...that's a tough question. Splitting the two visits, one being fantastic and the other being not good, that's a three star rating. I guess maybe I'll try one more time, eventually. It's just sad when you know a product very well, look forward to it all day, just for it to not be anything what you expected.

Caveat: reviewed based on multiple experiences during COVID from October 2020-March 2021…read more Beer list: extensive draft selection and variety. Lines are clean and cared for, and beer selection is clearly curated by someone who is passionate and knowledgeable about craft beer. They are also a brewery and generally have several of their own beers on tap. They do multiple size options at good prices, so you can really take advantage of a nice day out doing some tastings. They also have some canned / bottled beer and do crowler fills. Bar: it's a brewery. Bar is limited. There are a few good liquors available, mostly whiskey and bourbon, with some ciders, seltzers, and possibly a wine or two available. This isn't the place to get a mimosa or a Bloody Mary. It's a brewery. Food: again, they're a brewery, not a gastropub, and do not have a full kitchen. Food is limited to Friday and Saturday (I believe), but is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Owner seems to continually try to improve selections, and on Fridays during lent has started doing Fish Frys (which were exceptionally good!). If you go in expecting bar-snack type food, you won't be disappointed. There are full restaurants within walking distance. Atmosphere: there are TVs and games, but none of them are loud and in your face. Tables are plenty and well-spaced / distanced, with comfortable seating available. Patio seating is also available. Noise level is generally low enough that you can easily have a conversation. Tables, bar, and bathrooms are clean. Comfortable and welcoming feel. Parking is generally available with a large lot shared with other businesses. Staff: you will generally see the same staff, limited to the owner, bartender, and cook. Which is great, because they are all fantastic. Here's the thing...staff is absolutely genuine. My experiences with the staff have been overwhelmingly positive, but my impression is also that they wouldn't hesitate to put an end to poor behavior. Be nice, be civil, and behave...or be elsewhere. If that appeals to you, then you'll have a great time at Exit 6...which I really appreciate as a patron. Overall: I've formed my above opinions over a few months since moving to the area. After our second visit, they recognized us. After our third, they greeted us by name. After that, I noticed many of the same faces at the tables and bar...and there is a reason for that: the staff creates a comfortable space, with high quality beer and service, at good prices. Think epitome of the classic friendly neighborhood bar. Honest, genuine, and not pretentious.

Exit 6 is located in Cottleville and a great place to try a craft beer in a laid back setting. They…read moreare no longer brewing themselves, but feature a rotating list of other local beers.

We had an excellent dinner at this location. It was basically everything we were craving…read more It was quiet, not a ton of tables taken, when we came in. There was some sort of trivia game going on, which I guess is a normal occurrence on a monday night. It was a little odd, but it didn't really bother us. T was our waiter, and he was super attentive and great. First, we ordered pretzels with cheese. They were sooo good! They came out hot and perfect, and they weren't greasy at all. The beer cheese was equally great and nice and warm. My fiance and I both did impossible burgers. Both of them came out perfectly cooked, and the french fries were spot on. I honestly would've liked my burger a bit warmer, as the cheese wasn't melted much. It was tasty though, and I definitely ate way too much. This location was exactly what we were wanting, and we will definitely add this location into our rotation of places to eat when we aren't wanting fancy!

My oft dining companion has a low bar for what is good - love them but sometimes they drag me into places like AB's and other chains. I go for the company and not the food, as was the case this time. It's microwaved hospital cafeteria food. Bland, cooked poorly, and tastes like a Healthy Choice microwave meal while not being healthy nor something I'd choose unless I'm sick and it was hiding in the freezer. The onions were undercooked. The sauce was sweet without flavor and too much of it. The chicken had the painted on grill marks. Waffle fries were limp and mealy.
