Overall, the food was very salty. Maybe I got unlucky since my friend's fries weren't as salty. I got the Toklahoma burger and I feel like it was missing a sauce; it was very dry and mostly just tasted like mustard which had to be offset with ketchup. The shake was decent and I wished I got a more fun flavor. Service was really good, the waiters kept checking on us and making sure we got our food on time.

Funny sign on the restroom door.

If you want a burger, this is the place to go. But if you want something totally different, it's also the place to go. Today they had the special of the Parmageddon. This sandwich was big and delicious! It had chicken topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella, pesto, and a giant mozzarella stick. It was served on a big toasted hoagie roll. There was so much flavor packed in the sandwich. If you are ever here and it is the special of the day, do not even hesitate and order it!

    Look for the sign!

Bustling spot short distance from Forest Park, with fries, shakes, sandwiches, some tacos and salads. Parking is a little challenging, but circle the block a few times, you will be lucky. I got the turkey burger with cheese and bacon. Meat was well seasoned, tender. Good amount of bacon, good roll. Also got onion rings, crispy, portion size (maybe 5 rings) was a bit small compared to the cost, but they tasted good. For drink I grabbed a strawberry shake - delicious, huge, and to be honest a great value for the price. They have wine and beer, which I'll have to check out another time - selection looked pretty good. They often have specials, such as shake of the week - be sure to check the board. There is lots of seating, including in a tent and also shipping container, and the tables turn over pretty quickly. While a bit on the pricey side for burgers / fries, I feel it was worth it based on the excellent service, fresh, flavorful food, and of course, the killer shake. Use caution, the driveway is one way in, one way out (which I got wrong )

314 Day did not disappoint at Hi-Pointe Drive-In. Still dreaming about this burger. Imo's pizza buns, pork steak, a perfectly cooked burger, Red Hot Riplets, and of course plenty of melted Provel cheese lol basically everything you love about St. Louis in one meal. And the St. Louis Blues shake to top it all off was unreallll They never disappoint, any day of the year!

Grabbed today's special - Toast Buster. It was a single burger, brisket, pickles, onion flowers, cheese sauce, on Texas toast. It was tasty. I'd get it again. The service was quick today, and the staff was super friendly

Came in for dinner at around 6pm and this place was bustling with people! Despite the line, my meal came out pretty quick! I got the Toklahoma burger + fries and it was delicious. The fries are well seasoned and crispy! It was my first time trying this burger in particular but I love the touch of mustard and the onions. My only complaint is that my burger seemed to be a little too well done but overall still a solid burger!

Food is amazing but it takes a really long time to cook for the type of food you order (more specifically if you are looking for a quicker take out option, would recommend dining in). A standard classier diner experience. Dining inside can get loud but they also have a nice patio area outside. Worth going to but would consider elsewhere if you are in a rush.

Best smash burgers in the area, period. The fries are also always solid. The shakes are out of this world and come dressed to the nines with various accouterments accentuating the outside and top of the glass. The decor is old school drive in vibe done up stoner style including a tatted up big boy and the original good burger car. There is a stoned alien motif spread through out the artwork. The restaurant is counter service, but they bring you out your meal to your table inside or out. The employees are always super pleasant and accommodating. We always feel welcome here.

Service was great at both the counter and the table. I had the Split & Melt which was delicious. Crispy smash patties, gooey cheese, buttery bread. I also opted to add heirloom tomato to it which added a nice brightness to it. My mom ordered the double, which she said was amazing. We ordered a variety of sides to share. The mac and cheese was amazing, the onion rings were flavorful and crispy, and the fries were also very well seasoned and crispy. Overall, everything was a 10/10. Also, I loved that their fountain sodas are Excel sodas. Will definitely be back to try their draft beers and more burgers!

Price: All together, with a dollar tip, I paid $27 and change, which to me is incredibly pricey for counter service. $2 for a dipping sauce is steep, and for a small container. Next time? I'd skip the dipping sauce and homemade lemonade to save $7. I'll be back but not running to pay this much again. The storefront: the direct out front, small parking lot was packed and people were going into the gated lot to find parking. Only one person working the counter when you first walk in which lead to a long line at the dinner rush that seemed to be moving pretty slow. We got in before the rush and got our food quickly after. Staff were kind and very helpful! Fairly clean with the food runners circling tables often to remove trash.

The worst aspect is the ventilation which needs much work. We came out smelling so greasy and smokey. We seated ourselves and waited a minute for our waitress to assist us. She kept saying she was new, that it was like her second day or something and didn't quite know the menu. She also didn't know how to make a drink, with that being the case why are you allowed to make any cocktails. If you have a limited cocktail menu but an extensive bar selection you would think their cocktail specials were on point. Nooooo. The BF tried a margarita special and it was awful. I tried a special crafted cocktail that was cool that our waitress asked the guy bartending to specially make because she had no clue about what I was talking about. I hate going to a spot where I make drinks better than the bartenders on hand and that's your job. The BF ordered the the garlic burger and I ordered the Korean wings which NEVER came out because our waitress forgot to order them. So I shared food with the BF. The burger was extremely underwhelming, not seasoned at all. How do you specialize in burgers and mess that up. The best item we ate was the fries and the comedy show was good. I love dinner and entertainment. We are burger enthusiast and if this what your restaurant specializes in I expect to be wowed. We saw all the social media hype surrounding this place and were so excited to try them. To find out it was ALL just hype is a real let down. No we will not be returning, the burgers and service speak for themselves.

They're known for their smash burgers and seasoned fries. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the food bc I had dinner plans, but I did stay for a couple drinks. They have a great selection of spirits and cocktail specials. My friend got a tequila sunrise, so I followed suit. The pour was quite generous, I must say, and I'm def not complaining. The drink was smooth, with the perfect amount of tequila and sweetness. The bartenders working were both friendly and sociable. The vibe was relaxed and is a great alternative when things get too crazy at the dam. While I only got drinks, I'll for sure be back. The smells alone (all good of course) will have you lingering back!

I was told it's under new ownership with an entirely new management team and staff. We were in the neighborhood looking at homes when our realtor mentioned, "It's a shame what happened to Seamus McDaniel's." Being stubborn, I figured maybe he'd just had a bad experience, so we decided to give it a chance anyway. He was right. I was wrong. We were seated on the back patio right next to the server station. We waited about 15 minutes expecting someone to at least take our drink order. Nothing. Our server stood there on her phone, occasionally looking over at us. I honestly assumed she was off the clock or on break. Eventually I went inside, grabbed two waters myself, and asked the bartender when someone was going to take our order. After I returned to the table with the waters, our server finally came over, apologized for the mix-up, and brought... two more waters. She literally watched me carry waters to the table before deciding to bring duplicates. Now we had four water cups crammed onto a tiny table and still hadn't gotten any food. Against my better judgment, we ordered two burgers with fries. About 30 minutes later, the food arrived lukewarm. The buns were dry and tough, and the burger itself had almost no flavor. I'm no chef, but I've honestly had microwaved gas station burgers with more seasoning. It felt like every burger is covered in sauce because the patty itself isn't seasoned enough. The fries were somehow even worse--burned to the point they were nearly black. I like crispy fries, but these were beyond overcooked. The most uncomfortable part came at the end. They bring a handheld card reader to the table and stand there watching while the tip screen pops up. After the service we received, that felt incredibly awkward. This feels like a management problem more than a server problem. Employees can only work within the standards they're given. Unfortunately, whatever made Seamus McDaniel's a neighborhood favorite seems to be gone. I'd skip it and head to Felix's Pizza Pub instead.

At my big age, difficult parking situations are a turn off and I will go home if I can't get reasonable parking. I was able to snag a space in the lot and headed in. The space is a bit dark with rich sage, brass, and terracotta. There are several hanging plants making it an inviting place. The bar has plenty of comfortable seating and cozy tables if you decide to bring some friends. Caleb was our server during our visit. He was an absolute delight. He made excellent cocktail suggestions. He looked after our group without being overly doting. Just a gem of a human. We tried approximately 9 cocktails during our visit. Did I mention we were at brunch! I highly recommend the peach bite and the Side Car. Every cocktail is thoughtfully made and well executed. They offer a small brunch menu along with the regular menu. I usually always get chilaquiles when they are available. But today the ruby trout and grits sounded perfect. This dish was amazing!! The trout was thin with crispy skin. The grits were creamy and delicious. The dish is topped with a house made radish pico and salsa macha. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was paired with the crispiest breakfast potatoes I've ever had. The burger and fries are also a good option. The seasoning on the fries is next level. The brunch menu has a sticky toffee roll that is a perfect size for sharing or not. Salty sweet fork tender cinnamon roll. Lastly, the deviled eggs were a group favorite. I am a big fan of Passenger Chili Crisp. If you are unfamiliar please look them up! It's hands down the best chili crisp I've ever had. It's locally made here in STL and can also be found in several dishes at restaurants around town. The eggs were creamy with the right amount of tang from the mustard. The chili crisp made these deviled eggs easily top five best I've ever had! Planning to stop in again soon for happy hour with more friends

This place makes a good cheeseburger. Well, maybe a few notes. I figured I'd get either a beer or a milkshake with my burger. I didn't see any milkshakes on the menu, so that made my decision to drink easy enough. Not that I needed one. I did see a number of ridiculous-sounding desserts, including something called a bacon cookie. But technically I'm training for a marathon, the fact that I'm out here drinking beer and eating ginormous cheeseburgers notwithstanding. Also, it cost like $10. I'll never truly recover from just what I paid for my burger and fries. But trust that I will be back, if only to see what some of these things even are. I might try the entire menu before it's all said and done with. We can only hope that this place doesn't suffer the same fate as the Pi that was in this same location. Keep Barack Obama as far away from here as possible. His successor Joe Brandon's influence is evident in the pricing. Burgers will run you upwards of $20, but they do come with free fries. Uh, thank you? Well, I guess they come with a free side. You could opt for applesauce, if you want to. I had to talk a girl I was with (but not really "with," natch) out of getting the applesauce. She's welcome. You're also given the option of getting your fries dusted with herbs and Parmesan cheese. One of the guys from my running group got that and seemed to love it, to a degree that was honestly kinda gross. They do the thing like at Five Guys where they give you a truly insane amount of fries as if they're doing you a favor, like they didn't just run your pockets. The fries are roughly the same size and shape as the fries at McDonald's, and they're nearly as good, which is the highest compliment you can pay anything. The burgers are on another level. They're ginormous steakhouse burgers, rather than the smash burgers that are all the rage everywhere else and have been since Mumford & Sons were climbing the charts and guys were walking around dressed like lumberjacks. The beef is just ground chuck, not some weird blend containing short rib, filet mignon and what have you. But it must be a good-quality ground chuck. That cow must have been fed only the finest industrial waste and words of encouragement. You're given the option of selecting your own toppings, like at a Fuddruckers, or ordering one of their bizarre-sounding specialty burgers. I like the idea of building my own burger, but picking the right toppings would have been entirely too anxiety inducing. It may have caused me to have to go on those meds they give members of Gen Z who spent too much time on TikTok. I'm already dealing with body-image issues as it is. The problem with such elaborately crafted menu items is that it's hard to know what any of them are really like without seeing and tasting them. What if I ordered the En Fuego and it came out looking like an actual pile of garbage put together by someone who, uh... doesn't have any business making sandwiches? That's kinda what it sounds like. I figured I'd go with one of the small handful of specialty burgers that had bacon on them, and I landed on the Ride the Lightning. In addition to the bacon, er, maple candied bacon, it comes with some sort of blueberry compote and a brie spread that turns all gooey due to the warmth of the burger. It looks positively inappropriate when they bring it out to you, and it's got a taste to match. No Diddy. The blueberry jam or whatever, which seems like it might be kinda weird, really sets it off. The bacon, which, on a burger, can be an afterthought, was great. Surprisingly, all of the toppings serve to accentuate the flavor of the meat, rather than cover it up. As ridiculous as some of these menu items sound, they seem to have put real thought into them. They're not out here playing games.

I'm typically a smash burger person, this one is huge to me and it was cooked really really well. Perfect medium. The extras come mostly come on the side unless they are cooked which I appreciate. I did mark spring mix and didn't get any, but really made no difference. (I did order cheese and took it off as it didn't look appealing to me) The Texas toast was the best part for me although the bottom half was soggy, I ate both top half's and saved the others for leftovers. The location is convenient to Forest Park, the Medical Center and South City via Kingshighway or Hampton. Plenty of seating both inside and on the patio. It was extremely hot outside so we were seated inside, in the "Garden Room." This room has lots of windows (no garden) and got extremely hot during the stay. I guess the AC couldn't keep up with us. This is a brewery so they have lots of beer options. I can't speak to the quality of the beer. Since I have Celiac Disease, I checked ahead of time and made sure that I saw lots of wine on their drink menu as well. Since it was 4PM when I arrived, I asked about any happy hour specials. Sadly, they told me there were only beer happy hour specials, no wine specials. I ordered a glass of white wine from their menu and got what I thought was a small pour of an only so-so glass for the price. I did like that you order your drinks in a separate line, and you can pay as you go like I did or start a tab. This is great for a large group like ours. You can also order food and have it delivered to your table. While this is a large venue in a convenient location, it did not feel very special.

We heard about the DelMar Loop and also heard about this place so decided to drop on by! One of the best parts was free parking! OK, we saw they had a patio and that was perfect for us because our puppy needed a place too. They seated us quickly, brought us some menus, and took our drink order. We both had 0% beer because, you know, it was just 12 noon - a little early for the hard stuff! We both ordered some barbecue! I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, along with the potato salad and chili! OK before the food review I got it put in a great word for the waitress. She was very friendly, and gave us some good pointers on things to check out while in town - very cool. Oddly enough, we were the only one sitting on the patio, even though it was a very pleasant day, indeed. When the food came? I thought the brisket was a little odd because it wasn't chopped. It was cut into little cubes but paired with one of the sauces? Very nice! And pulled pork was great. The potato salad? Yup! The chili? Yup! The fried bread roll? Well, it was a little unexpected, but it was very nice as well. As we had heard that St. Louis barbecue was uniquely different from any other barbecue, we had to have it! I'm not gonna say it was spectacularly different, but it was good! We ordered a lemon gooey bar for dessert and shared it! Apparently it's a St. Louis thing? Yes! Would we come again? Oh yes, indeed! And you should try it too if you like good barbecue.!

Wow, I was looking for some good barbecue in St. Louis. I knew that shouldn't be hard to find here!…read moreWell, I found a great place on my first try. Came late afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. I sat at the bar, and had phenomenal service from the bartender. But the food is where things really shined. I started the mail with the bacon deviled eggs. They were filled to the brim and super tasty. I got the two meat combo. With ribs, bologna, slaw, and cream corn. Everything was absolutely amazing. The baloney, with a fresh chowchow and Stone Ground mustard, was one of the best barbecue items I've had anywhere. The slaw some vinegar based and it's very tangy. It was very good. This was a really good barbecue restaurant in St. Louis area. I need to try somewhere else, but it's gonna be hard not just to come back here!
