It was a floor model, as ordering would have taken several weeks/months. We hired an electrician to install our fixtures (Elaine's couldn't offer install on our high ceiling fans). Blake offered a reorder but that would have cost us more $ for the electrician to come out multiple times. I suggested our electrician could solder the piece back on or I could but I'd need to buy would need to buy a solder kit. I emailed and asked Blake if Elaine's would offer us a STORE CREDIT of $100-200 for our trouble and to mitigate some of our extra expense due to the chandelier arriving damaged. Blake responded that I could have 10% off a future purchase. I do not recommend Elaine's. The chandelier arrived damaged. We had to incur the costs of having it fixed. When I offered a very reasonable customer service solution, it was denied. The items can be found at other establishments, some for less expensive. This was a disappointing experience, especially based on how many fixtures we purchased.

The store has an all sales are final motto so that means if you buy the light and it doesn't match your decor or isn't the right color that you thought you needed for your space, tough it is your light. I found a light I loved but found out after purchasing that light not only could I have bought the same light for more than half of what I paid. You will find unique lights here and the owner is knowledgeable but you will pay more for the lighting here than elsewhere. You also need know that even if you are told your light fixture will include bulbs from the store thrown in as goodwill for doing business with them, please know you will not get the bulbs for your fixture as they want you to pay for those on top of the fixture itself. That was disappointing for me as other lighting stores also promise that if you purchase a light from them that you will get the bulbs for free. This is what I was promised here but it wasn't the truth as I had to pay for the bulbs when it came time to get the fixture. Keep this in mind if this is something important to you. 3 stars as I did find a light I loved but paying more than double for the same light that I found online and not getting the bulbs that were to be included with my light is why I rated this place 3 stars. My cat knocked over one of my favorite lamps at 3 AM. I was expecting to be taken to the cleaners for the repair because frankly, there's no way I would know how to fix a lamp. They said it was a minor repair and they actually did it for free! But they do start out at $50. had it been an even worse repair which I still find very reasonable. And Nina was even able to adjust the lampshade that had been made crooked from the fall and she has a hand brace on! I can't say enough about this place. They look like they have a lovely selection of modern lighting. If I ever go to purchase lighting, I will definitely go there. They have won my trust and business!

Most places online only had painted aluminum faceplates (which aren't working well for us), or would have required us to buy the entire lamp again, rather than just the faceplates, if we wanted to upgrade to solid brass.
