I have no idea how I could have gone any slower. It wasn't humanly possible. After shouting at me several times, he took to chasing me down and ramming my kayak so it'd spin in circles. Would I rent a kayak here and kayak the river alone? Yes. Would I personally use a tour guide here? No I wouldn't. Would I recommend? If you're a family with little kids or a drunk sorority house, absolutely. If you know what you're doing, just go it alone. You'll probably enjoy it more. Edit: If the tour guide had concerns for group safety, he could have said so. Although ramming my kayak with his seems to be a bit of a conflict as far as my safety goes. Arrive at the dealer and I get this story... oh, we sold that a couple of weeks ago... we haven't had small fishing boats for a while. Now Is this a bait and switch, to get you into a middle of no where to a dealership, so we can sell you something else? Confront them on this. One of the owners comes out and says, it's not our fault! We don't control or list our fb sales, some one else runs their fb page sales. It is not their fault it hasn't come down yet. What? Did I hear that right? No responsibility... really! Now hell, I've bought and sold stuff on fb, taking it off line, marking items sold, is as easy as marking it sold and poof! It's recorded for all to see. I drive an hour and 15 minutes, to a middle of no where marine dealer, who it appears in order to drive business to their doorstep using a post to bait and switch boat ad's? Folks go else where... Granted it was my first boat purchase and I could have asked them to check the engine, but I had good faith that they--the nice people selling me my first boat--had already made sure it wasn't a piece of crap. They knew the previous owner, so they knew the (lack of) maintenance that had been done on the boat...but I was the one who found out that the long block rusted through, started to take on water, and slowly destroyed the inside of the engine. During my first summer, I was stranded more than a dozen times and towed to shore. It was scary. 2 years later, after completely overhauling the inside and rebuilding the engine, the boat is back in business. But I had to take it somewhere else to get it there. If you buy from here, ask for work orders. Ask for engine inspections. Ask for everything you can't see with your own eyes.

Who is nice enough to do that? He walked me through how to drop off, told me Frank would take great care of me and he did! I picked up what I can only describe as a perfectly brand new looking seat. You would NEVER know it had been repaired. So people if your seat sits wrong, is cracking, looking sad on the always used drivers side. There's HOPE for you! I saw the photos of how they even fixed the actual foam under the seat, not just the leather. I am so EXTREMELY HAPPY! I have to tell you to go here. Don't think about it. I took my small sail boat to Crowley's Yacht Yard for storage and service last winter, I paid for…read moreindoor non heated storage. Two of 4 visits to the yard found my boat outside. I had them re-wire the mast so the lights and most importantly the VHF ship to shore radio antenna worked. They ran the wires out of the wrong hole in the bottom of the mast which prevented the mast from being raised unless the wires were cut and rerouted through the correct hole. I asked them to ensure the motor and fuel system were clean and operating correctly. When I started the motor for the first time it only ran for a few minutes at a time, requiring me to disassemble the carbureator assembly and make my own adjustments. I asked them to ensure that the fwd/rev shift lever and throttle were safe and operating smoothly. On the fourth sail of the season the shift and throttle assembly completely failed, lucky it happened while docking or I may not be here to write this review, Lake Michigan can be deadly. All of this cost me nearly $4000.00. They then begged me to give them another chance, and send a technician to the boat to make things right, I agreed, but when I contacted them to arrange the details I never got a call back. WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! -5 OUT OF 10 STAY AWAY!!! THEY LOVE THE MONEY BUT DON'T EARN IT, TOTAL FAIL ON ALL COUNTS!!!

I postponed my splash date several times last spring without an issue. I do most of the maintenance on my boat. Their boat store always had the part (I think I've been lucky) Even the obscure transmission cable and prop shaft I needed. My comparison of storage prices and prices at there ship store puts it pretty close to others without the river run boats in the city need to do. Last, I've spent a lot of time in the yard over the past couple of years. Their employees are pretty friendly people. Random yard workers say hi are helpful.
