I am a cyclist in California. My 86 year old mother lives near O'hare and wanted to get her cruiser bike set up so that she could ride on a trainer inside. I called a shop near her house and was told that they don't sell trainers in the summer. Seriously? Then I called 2 Bici. Ryan understood immediately what I was trying for and suggested a basic trainer he thought would work. My brother picked it up, and when he had a little difficulty getting it to work, brought the bike and the trainer back for some assistance with set up. Bing bang boom, mama is now happily pedaling along while she watches her shows. This place is so worthy of 5 Star, just like the fantastic Spokes in Wheaton. I came here bc I was riding the trails of Palos a while back and my pedal came off my crank within 10 minutes of my ride. I stopped in and they were able to service it on the spot, using another crank temporarily (from another bike in the shop) just so I could get my ride in for the day - Joe said just to drop it back off when I was done which I did the next day, how cool is that! I've been back on a few occasions and right now they are servicing a front fork issue I'm having, where most bike shops won't bother with the set of Fox brand Shocks I have. Joe totally has his bike knowledge together and is fair, trustworthy and a helluva cool guy. Also getting a 2.25 back tire on for the upcoming REI Meltdown race, can't wait to try it out! Overprice part. Yesterday, on my way to Palos, the seatpost clamp of my son's bike got lost. When they charged me $20+tax for a generic no-brand clamp, I knew he was overcharging me for the part I but didn't want to ruin my son's day, and I didn't know about any other bike shop around, so I bought it anyway. Later, when I checked on-line on few bike shops around Chicago and Palos, I was right, you can get the clamp for less that $10, and on Amazon, you can get similar no-brand generic clamps for less that $5. I don't mind paying a little more on local business, but getting charge 100% more It is ridiculous. I really hate when people take advantage of you because of the situation. read more

I visited the shop on Saturday and introduced myself to the Owner and Staff. My MTB was shifting roughly and they made her purr. I instantly felt welcome and could tell that the employees/owner "wanted" to be there and help me. The shop was completely free of the douchyness you sometimes feel at bike shops. None of the employees were wearing tight rolled up jeans or cycling hats. The staff was knowledgeable about the products they had on site and the products they had available for order. Willow Springs needed a bike shop and I'm thrilled that the one that showed up is what it is. I have found my new shop! Amazing Customer Service!! I needed a tune-up on my bike, that I hadn't rode in 1.5 years. I looked on Yelp and found this place, which is only 10 minutes from my house and right across the street from the I&M bike path. I was immediately greeted by Joe when I stepped inside to drop off my bike. He looked it over, took my info, and said it would be ready in a few days. So seamless and easy and friendly. I picked my bike up later in the week, and was able to go for a ride that day. I also bought a bike helmet, which fits great and is actually comfortable. Joe did mention that they do rent bikes, which is a great option since the trails are across the street. I highly recommend bringing your bike here. The service is excellent and the prices are great. The other great thing is that they are very near the Palos Triangle, Centennial Trail, and the I&M trail. Please don't specifically state that the staff wears masks (as it does), when all 4 employees inside your small store aren't wearing them. I wouldn't have chosen to pay over $100 to have my bike serviced here in the first place if you're going to put customers at risk and make them feel uncomfortable being inside. Then when I pick up my bike I find a piece of the handlebar zip tied to it. I would have appreciated a phone call saying that if the gears needed to be replaced it would be an entire part that's replaced that won't match the rest of the bike. Please just practice what you advertise. I'll drive farther out my way from now on to get my bikes serviced. read more

Came to ride along the centennial trail when we realized the tires on our bikes were low. Went to the 7-11 and their machine was broken. We asked a biker if he had a pump and my boyfriend started to hand pump the tires when 2 boys sitting under a bridge came over and asked if we needed help. They told us about the bike shop across the street.... we rode our bikes there and the owner let us use the air compressor to fill air in our tires. While I never purchased anything from this bike shop, the friendliness of the staff is amazing. I have seen the snobbery and rudeness of some bike shop owners and this is definitely not one of those places. I was looking to buy a bike and I came in twice to test ride a couple. The staff are honest, friendly, understanding, and they don't try to force purchases on you. They also mentioned that the would work with me on the price, particularly if I was going to purchase other things like helmet or locks. I dropped my bike off to fix a spoke and true both tires Monday. They didn't give me a claim ticket and told me it would be done before Friday. Friday night I walked in because no one called me and they were all hanging out, eating pizza, and drinking some crappy bottle of booze that looked like something they stole out of their mom's house. The one guy told me to hold on a second because he was on the computer. Another guy asked what I wanted and when I told him I was there for my bike he told me, "I'm not a mind reader! I don't just know which bike is yours!". To which I responded, "No one gave me a ticket". When he asked me what it looked like I told him "blue". Then Mr. Helpful on the computer said it's next door. So Mr. Mind Reader went to fetch it. In the meantime I peered over to see what was keeping Mr. Computer so occupied and he was looking at facebook. I paid and met the other dude outside with my bike. The first thing I did was spin the front tire. It made one revolution and stopped. Upon seeing that, Mr. Mind Reader said "see you next time" and went back inside. I'm hoping it's just the brake pad carriage that's a little loose/rotated. I won't be going back. read more

We took our bikes in for a spring tune up. I needed new tires, they replaced my tires but apparently not the inner tubes (or did not install correctly) as the back tire will not hold air. However, my super rare and expensive bike was damaged during an excessively long 'repair' stay. No, he is not honest. No, he won't do the right thing to you either, at least not without extensive nudging and persistence. Let him handle the cheap stuff. Fixed my son's 26" rear bike flat tire in 30 min exactly the time they said it would take and the price was exactly what I expected to pay - replaced tube and all good - just did another bike ride together with him this morning.
