Xtreme Tanning has several locations which makes it convient. I purchased unlimited tanning package at a reasonable price and was given free shave lotion and discounted tanning lotion at sign up. I have tanned at the West Central location as well as South Rock Road and I prefer Xtreme Tanning over the other salons I have tried by far. read more

I have been going to this tanning salon for about 5 months now. I had some complaints when I first started but I have changed my mind since Ive been going longer. I had doubts about their bulbs in the beds because I felt that I wasent getting much out of it for the price I was paying but I see now that I havent went for about 3 weeks and my tan is still going strong! I am impressed with that! I just bought an unlimited month of tanning from them so I'm looking forward to getting real dark and it lasting me for months! Yay! read more

I posted my 5-star review of Xtreme Tanning here on Yelp and on their FB page 2 yrs ago. It is now 2017 and I have decided to apologize to the general public and come forward with the truth about my review. When you are looking at reviews of Xtreme tanning whether on Google, or on their Facebook page you will see 90 or more 5-star reviews. Alot of them will just give 5 stars with no explanation of why. Several of them mention their "5 tans for $5 special"....but what they fail to also mention is that you can only get that great deal IF you go online to their Google listing page or their Facebook page and give them a 5-star review. That is straight dishonesty and bribery. I fell victim to it too. I mean, who wouldn't?? 5 for 5 is a great deal!! Great deal but DISHONEST. I started tanning there and paid the high prices, bought the expensive sample packets of lotion, dealt with the uneducated staff, all because they were just a few blocks from my home and it was convenient to just walk down there. It was dishonest of me to review a place of business that I hadn't even done business with yet and I am truly ashamed of myself for doing it just to save some money. A truly great business will not stoop to dishonest measures to get business. A truly great salon will sell itself by word of mouth for great service. I stopped going to Xtreme and decided to take my business to Tan-Do, located 1.6 miles north of them at 550 N. Rock Rd. You will find my HONEST review of them here on Yelp. They do not give specials in exchange for reviews. They WILL however give ALL new customers 1 free tan because they appreciate people's business and they know after you see your results after just 1 tan, you will come back for more. read more

I made the mistake of enrolling in this places ez pay plan. The beds suck and they get entirely to hot during the tanning process. I came from At the Beach and tanned there for over a year. I never had problems with burning and I always stayed in the bed for the full time. Every time I tan at this place I burn on my neck and shoulders. I asked to cancel the plan and I was told no I had to wait six months in order to do so. I have a wedding coming up and I want to be tanned not burned. I asked to have the manager call me. She did and it seemed at first that I would be able to cancel my membership. She called the owners and told me they said no. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They won't even allow me to freeze my plan so I can go somewhere else to tan for my wedding. Tanning used to be relaxing for me but now I hate it. It's hot, uncomfortable and I hate it. read more

Checked back today to see what the owner had said. Well they can't fulfull their promise because it's policy. And next time they don't want so much drama in the store.....there won't be a next time and the only drama that occured is that I waited at the counter until I got a definitive answer as to whether I was going to get my 5th tan or not. BEWARE! I signed up for an EZ tan package in March of 2012. They told me I could cancel after 3 months. In October I went in and cancelled my membership. The girl at the front desk had me sign a cancel form and I thought that was it. They quit debiting my account and almost 2 years later I get a letter from a collection agency stating I own Xtreme Tanning 128.40$. I asked for validation and they sent me a letter stating that they have no record that I cancelled and that I didn't pay the 15$ cancel fee. I went in in person and cancelled and had already fulfilled the "3 month draft obligation" and if at that time I was supposed to pay the cancel fee then the girl at the front desk should have said something or they should have made some attempt to contact me considering they had my address and phone number on file I would have given them 15$ had I known I owed it. almost TWO YEARS LATER they send my account to collections stating I owe 3 months of tanning plus fees and interest. They are SHADY and DECEPTIVE and I would recommend finding a salon that has better business practices and yes Matt that was me......I have went through my phone records and my phone saves every voicemail which I would be happy to provide to you and there is not one call from your salon and not one voicemail...you had my home address also. I came in in October...I told the girl I needed to cancel and that I had paid for more than 3 months and didn't need to my package any longer. My card was declined bc it had been compromised and my bank sent me a new one. Had I been contacted by you I would have immediately resolved this. You also had my home address and I received nothing until almost 2 years later. Since I had been in to cancel I didn't contact you when I got a new card bc I didn't have a reason to bc you would no longer be drafting from my account. I contacted other automatic debitors and informed them and I would somewhat understand some of this had I even tanned there since august of 2012. I paid for September and October before even getting around to coming in to cancel. Now I have collections on my credit report bc my account wasn't cancelled and at no time did your company contact me. I have the phone records I have every voicemail from early 2012 to present saved on my phone bc it's set to never delete them and backed up to my iCloud account due to what I do for a living and my phone is mainly used for work purposes. So I can be certain I was not contacted and messages were not left. This is very disappointing that to your company this is fair business. This effects my credit and again it would be different if 1. I had been using a service I didn't pay for 2. I had not come in to cancel of which I very much remember doing bc I meant to for awhile and after 2 months of being debited for something I didn't use I finally came in and even made sure if was before the end of the month so it could be cancelled before the next draft 3. Had you actually contacted me I would have gladly taken care of it immediately. Instead I was not given the opportunity and almost 2 years later I am contacted by collections. read more
