The tables were full while were there...we had to flag a waiter to get our order. Once that was done, the food came fast. We ordered many dishes to try. I have no complaints at all, and here are some of my favourites: Veal steak - nice and tender. And I love the sauce which has a kick to it. Cabbage rolls - a must try!!!!!!! Hummus- super tasty with the bread Osso buco - the meat was very good with the sauce it was in I love the live entertainment. The guy was talented!!! And the music wasn't crazy loud that we couldn't hear each other talking. A definite recommend!!

I'm always searching for Eastern European food as I missed this food that I used to get in Etobicoke but it's a little far from Markham so now I finally found one that is close by.If uou're looking for something new to try, give this place a try! Their meat dumplings (Plemeny)in mushroom sauce is delicious.Tibetan Mo mo used to be my favorite dumplings but now is Russian Plemeny dumplings. For our mains, we got the grilled salmon skewer and Beef Stroganoff to share for the 3 of us us since our appetizers, perogies, borsh soup and meatdumplingsitems were more substantial (not light dishes)so we didn't need individual maiins. They also give you a basket of complimentary bread slices to start so I recommend you get get the Egggplant Ikura spread cause it goes nicely with the bread(double check that you'll get bread).Since this was our first visit I'm not dure if they always give bread.Booth maindishes were delicious! I like to try their cabbage rolls on our next visit! I actually have a long list of items to try on our next visit so we'll definitely be back!

A lot of beatiful European-looking clienteles (and we are the only non-European one). lol. Upon sitting: Free bread and pickled spicy beets/cabbage are provided, along with 4 different types of sauces. We ordered: 1.khinkali (dumpling beef and pork). 3 HUGE pieces of dumpling. Theres broth inside the dumpling. Taste yummy and homey 2. Goergian bread with chese and runny eggs in the middle. best to eat while it's warm. the bread feels fluffy. cheese is not heavy as i thought. 3. (medium-grilled) baby lamb rack comes with side dishes & bread. tender. 'homey' taste (not overpowering like typical food in restaurant). 4. walnut cake comes with vanilla ice cream. cake doesnt feel condesed/heavy like typical cake! and definitely great mix with ice cream. Overall, food taste 'homey', which is good/different experience. But didnt feel compatible with high-price (receipt with food name&price are attached for reference). We will not be back as there's nth really memorable/oustanding flavor-wise..(except for the great service!) With same spending, we feel it's more worthed to spend in different restaurant. But if you never try and looking for yours-truly-experience, go ahead. After all, whats not too great for me might be hidden gem for you. Cheers!

The oysters were to die for. The scallop crudo was a hit & the tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection. My favourite was the mushrooms & parmesan fries. Service was exceptional & we were well taken care of throughout the evening. The only reason i'm giving 4/5 stars is because of the bathroom & the lobster. The lobster was quite chewy & unappealing so for the price I was expecting a lot more. The bathroom stall was a mess with pee all over the floor.

They even asked the sous chef to make sure the presentation was excellent; he didn't disappoint. Their menu changes seasonally. I ordered the following: 1. Coke ($). 2. Tempura Shrimp ($27). 3. Crispy Duck Leg Confit & Breast ($46). 4. Saskatoon Berry Cheesecake ($14). The Tempura Shrimp were tiger shrimp and were so plump, each about 1 inch diameter at the widest end! They were de-shelled and tempura battered. There were orange slices (orange), avocado slices (green), and chili slices (red), making the dish colourful. The Crispy Duck came with a leg and sliced breast portions. Accompanying them were tamarillo, sunchoke puree, bordelaise, dried kale chips, berry gastrique, and chopped candied pecans. All the ingredients worked well together, with mixtures of savoury and sweet tastes. The Cheesecake was amazing. The cheesecake itself was an upside-down half sphere. It was soft; I prefer that over the typical firm cake. There were miniature dried berries on top, along with a ruby chocolate sauce, and a sliced of dried red beet. Surrounding it was a soft marshmallow meringue which was lightly torched. The colour theme was red and white with a touch of dark blue. Daimon, the sous chef, plated everything expertly for me. There is plenty of indoor seating, of which one side has a view of the lake. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms. There is free street parking on weekends on a street running north of the restaurant. There is also a paid parking lot next to the restaurant. We were here for a weekend lunch and there were folks there for a late breakfast as well as another family with small children having a meal together. Based on the phone calls, it sounded like the place was booked full out that evening. We had (table of four): - Mixed Grill Platter (for two): it fed more like 3 - 4 people, lots of variety to pick at; Sausage (pork), Chevaps (pork and beef sausages), Raznjici (pork), Chicken Schnitzel and Karadjordjeva Schnitzel (Pork rolled & stuffed with prosciutto and cottage cheese) - Vienna Schnitzel (pork) - all the dishes comes with (potatoes OR rice) AND vegetables (buttered carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower); various potato sides (like crispy fries) as available and rice (like tomato gypsy based) There was enough food for four people plus leftovers as a side for dinner. The sauce was great on everything from the schnitzel to the fries. Service was quick, food was great, and it was all at a great value. Will be back to try their buttered fried mushrooms and nature (mushroom) schnitzel in future. A local staple!
