I cannot say enough EXCELLENT comments about this young and extremely kind and gentle man, Dr. Yaghoobian. I had a bilateral lumbar (back) surgery and I was extremely scared and not sure I was making the right decision. Dr. Yaghoobian did not pressure me into having the surgery. He answered ALL my questions and concerns. He made sure I knew all the facts. He would even draw diagrams to make sure I was comfortable with the procedure. Dr. Yaghoobian excised all my avenues before the surgery. He was very honest in the feedback and so clear in his explanations. What I was also so impressed about his is consideration to talk to you and give you the "time of day" and make sure you address all your questions and concerns without feeling pressured or rushed. His 'bedside' manner is what also attracts you to him. At the date of surgery, he was by my side making sure I was comfortable and in good spirits. My incision (minimal) and the pain have been treated with great concern. While still in the healing process, Dr. Yaghoobian contacted me the moment I came home from surgery to make sure I was doing ok and wanted to make sure any concerns were addressed even days after. Still in the healing process I am convinced Dr.Yaghoobian was not only the right Dr but also the BEST! I have let all my friends, family and neighbors know about him. This young Dr works so hard and travels to several medical centers at day yet still has the patients and will to make sure YOU are his priority. Well let me start by saying THANK YOU Dr. Yaghoobian. I was sent to see Dr. Yaghoobian from the orthopedic specialist to have a consultation. I was experiencing severe pain in my back, pain down both legs with numbness, and pain in my hips. As soon as I seen him he was very polite and respectful of my situation. Once he seen my MRI he knew exactly what was wrong with me and suggested surgery for my injury right from the start. I suggested trying another epidural first which he had no problem with, but insurance denied it because the first one didn't work. All I can say is that he is very knowledgeable in his profession. He explained to me exactly what was wrong, what I need to have done to fix the problem and what to expect once the surgery was completed. The day of the surgery he was very respectful explaining everything he was going to do and even took my wife over to show her the the MRI results before my surgery. After my surgery was completed in the recovery room he explained how the surgery went and what to expect recovering. I feel my surgery was a success. The pain and numbness in my legs and hips are gone. I've been in physical therapy and acupuncture which has helped the recovering part of this process. Dr. Yaghoobian is who you should go to if you need a spine surgeon. I drive a semi truck and I'm sitting a lot for my job not the ideal situation to be in before and especially after surgery. Although it was very painful and I could barely walk in the beginning. It's been three years since my surgery and I would say I'm still recovering and getting better day by day. Against the advice of Doctor Yaghoobian sadly I am forced to continue working as a long haul truck driver. He checks in with me all the time to ask how I'm doing and to set up appointments for me to come in to get x-rays and check ups. He did everything to make it more comfortable for me after my surgery "Spinal fusion l5-S1" he made several house calls to my home while I was bedridden to check on my condition and help me stand up and walk. I wish words could explain how much Dr.Yaghoobian has helped me! Long story short, I basically got wrote off by 4 doctors, all stating and pushing that I have spine surgery on my upper neck! I'm in my 30's and needed to get my life back together, I was always active, but wasn't able to work until I got the "necessary" surgeries, and all the headaches that come after that! For 3 YEARS every doctor wrote me off, and said I needed spine surgery to correct my problems. Thank You! Dr. Yaghoobian did a great job with my neck surgery. I'm still in the healing process but he has been very helpful and caring throughout this whole proces. I filed a Workmans comp. claim to get the treatment I needed and initially I was very skeptical of the Workmans comp. Drs. but I can gladly say that I have been treated well by U.S. Healthworks in Ontario, CA. and their Drs. When the Claims Administrator was denying all of my treatment, Dr. Yaghoobian stuck with me and helped me through the red tape. Dr. Yaghoobian did not rush to do surgery and we tried everything else before having to go that route. Surgery is scary but if you do need it, your in good hands with Dr. Yaghoobian. He even called the same evening after my surgery to check up on me. Yes, he is very straight forward and has a dry sense of humor as others have stated. It's not often in life you come across a doctor who has the level of patience, concern, and talent as Dr. Yaghoobian. It was clear from my first interaction with him that his biggest priority was my health and well-being. He has always made himself available, no matter the time or day, to answer any questions or to help me find needed resources for my care. After months of living with pain in my lumbar area radiating down my right leg, Dr. Yaghoobian performed a surgery to decompress a nerve on my lower back and a day after the procedure, I was pain free and feel reborn!!! The whole experience was excellent from the time I arrived at the clinic where I was welcomed and prepared for surgery by Adam who is a very nice guy that helps you through the process before the procedure, then Dr. Yaghoobian came by asked me if I had any questions about the procedure which made me feel very comfortable, I was going in for surgery at around 10:15am and I home by 1:45pm. The next morning at 8am I was surprised to get a call from Dr. Yaghoobian himself checking on me to make sure I did good and to see if I had any concerns, for me that proved that Dr. Yaghoobian really care about his patients as most Doctors will have their nurses check on patients. I meet Dr. Yaghoobian through Workmans Comp. No other Dr. wanted to take my case and he did. First impressions are the lasting ones. On my first visit Dr. Yaghoobian saw me as a human being not a case. He explained what he wanted to do regarding my case, I truly felt the compassion he has for his patients when he noticed I was nervous and he gently reassured me that everything was going to be fine. Although, I end up having surgery, seeing his smiling face and reassuring words at the Surgery Center, made my nervousness felt at ease. Fantastic Doctor and Surgeon!!! Dr. Yaghoobian has great bedside manners, and is a fantastic surgeon. I hurt my back from 30+ years of lifting cases of soda and I was having numbness in my legs. Dr. Yaghoobian took over my case after a year of seeing another Orthopedic Doctor. He immediately got me in for an MRI and helped me to decide the best course of action to take care of my problem. After I decided on surgery, we got the ball rolling getting all the clearances I needed. Surgery went great, I have minimal pain from the surgery and the numbness in my leg is gone. Dr Yagoobian is the best.. I had a work injury on my lower back. My workers comp worker assigned me to see Dr Yagoobian. Dr Yagoobian preformed a lumbar decompression on my lower spine and he did an awsome Job! I have never had a dorctor that cared so much about his patients. On the day of my surgery Dr Yagoobian called me about 2 hours after I arrived home from surgery to check on my status to make sure I was doing ok he called me every 4 hours to check on me the first. Many times my clients need doctors close to their homes that I'm not too familiar with so I asked other attorneys who they recommend and many highly recommend Dr. Yaghoobian. I started referring my clients to him and upon getting his reports I realized very quickly how honest and reasonable he is. I highly recommend this doctor. He has a good bedside manner and listens to your concerns. He is not one of those doctors that simply writes prescriptions for multiple addictive narcotics. I have seen him a couple times for a neck and back injury following a car accident and am happy with the care and recommendations. He prescribed a conservative course of physical therapy until we see the results. I went to another doctor first who simply prescribed several narcotics and wanted a whole bunch of expensive tests. When I went to the pharmacist, he was appalled and told me that I should not be taking those medications as they were highly addictive and definitely not all together as prescribed by the other doctor. I had a worker's comp case where I herniated 3 discs in my lower back causing excruciating sciatica pain. I saw Dr. Yaghoobian who recommended physical therapy. I did 12 sessions with no change. I then followed up with a chiropractor, acupuncture and pain management specialist. Again there was no change and the pain was horrible. Dr. Yaghoobian did my lumbar surgery (laminotomy). So to start, My back was injured at work due to a bad fall & I've been in a workers comp case now for 19 months.I continued to work to the best of my ability the whole time. Dr. Yaghoobian was my orthopedic surgeon for a herniated disk. He has been very compassionate and caring toward my pain before and after surgery. Before I had the surgery I was in so much pain that I was not even able to sleep through out the night without waking up from the pain. I was not even able to carry my nephew. And not being able to carry him has been extremely heartbreaking. After the surgery I feel so much better I am able to move a lot better. I first saw Dr. Yaghoobian late last year for moderate lumbar spinal stenosis resulting from a vehicular accident many years ago. I could barely walk. He did a thorough assessment then gave me some options. I tried water therapy for awhile but my condition did not improve. The good Doctor then recommended a surgical procedure to give my spinal cord and nerve roots some space. The surgery was a great success! I had a complete rotator cuff tear on my left shoulder and a detached bicep. My Doctor (Yaghoobian) did the surgery and I had NO complications at ALL, He was honest and upfront on everything. He took great care of me and he even gave me his personal phone number after my surgery in case I had any problems which I didn't have any.( I am a 59 year old man and I still do a physical job.) I went to all my P.T. appointments and when I said I would like more, he made it possible. I was told that it would take about 6 months to recover but I was back to work in just 5 months.
