I tried this place the first time on a Sunday evening. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, except a few tables that were occupied. My friend and I grabbed a menu and sat down at a table of our choice, then our order was taken immediately. We ordered the Mixed Grill to share, along with the Ezme (spicy turkish salad), and 2 Lahmachun. We also wanted to share the Borek (cheese pastries) but they were not available that day. The food did take long to come out, but given that there was one cook and one server managing the whole restaurant, we were patient. The Mixed Grill Plate came with all kinds of meats, all cooked well; along with rice, and a small salad. The Ezme salad was so good with bread and even better with the grilled meats. The star of the show was the Lahmachun, the bread was so thin and crispy, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. It came with Parsley, tomato, lemon; do yourself a favor and add Ezme to it and ask for onions. You're welcome! I would probably go back simply because I want the Lahmachun with the Ezme. One of the more reasonably priced and authentically delicious halal options in the area. I'm also happy that they finally renovated their seating area which now feels more spacious despite their tight space. This is second time I visited this place after many years. I had lahmacun, tantuni and beyti (shared with my wife). This Turkish restaurant does it right. The menu items were as well as I expected it to be, and then some. Tasty, fresh, tender, not too much spices/seasoning, and you can taste the love that went in each item. This mom & pop shop is definitely worth a visit, and the staff is very hospitable. The waitress was nice and pleasant, but I must admit that the language barrier kind of made it difficult to order. The lamb chops were very juicy and cooked perfectly. The one dish that I was amazed about was the "Ciger Shish". It's tiny cuts of liver and lamb fat cubed on a skewer then grilled. WOW! They also give you a cup of dry seasoning to dress it up to your liking, and a cup of homemade pepper paste. So delicious! Even though I was dying to try their homemade Turkish Pides, I resisted (no bread diet). I definitely will have to be back again to try more of the menu items. read more

I went here based on a recommendations by some brothers that love the food here. Arrived about 40 minutes before, gave the order and expected the food to be bought out when it was time to break fast. Over half an hour passes, no water and a sorry looking plate of hummus without any kind of garnish or bread. Food finally arrives and the plating is just...idk kind of like the food I would make at home but less aesthetically pleasing. There's nothing special about the food and there's no wedge of lemon for the meat. I will say that the meat is cooked over a fire so it has that smoky flavor. They have fresh Ayran so that was nice. They dont have a ton of options and everything is mid, and overpriced. I want to mention that there weren't a lot of diners when I went and I was alone for a while when I ordered, so the service wasn't slow due to a rush or anything. There wasn't anyone coming to pick up orders either so I'm not sure what was going on. I would not recommend this place if you dont have at least two hours to fart around while your food crawls out of the kitchen one dish at a time. read more

Every time I come to this restaurant I convince myself that this is my all time favorite place to eat and I am in love. Everything has a fresh handmade-ness to it. The Cig Kofta is a favorite. My friend found this place randomly and liked. He recommended to me and I took my family for dinner. I drove all the way from Staten Island and didn't regret. I ordered kelle paca soup for myself. It was from beef and okay. You may find the better one in Turkiye but not here. Then we ordered lahmacun, bicak arasi pide, etli ekmek and sucuklu pide. Lahmacun was thin like a paper, crunchy and delicious! Got 5 plus stars from me. All the pide were good too. I could not resist myself tobsay this, please don't use lime in a Turkish restaurant, you should serve lemon. I also used bathroom too, that was so clean.
