If you want to eat one of the best Turkish pide in New Jersey, go to Star pide. There are many options you can choose from. Pide with Turkish sausage, feta cheese or Mozzarella, or pastrami. I chose the one with sausage and pastrami and mozzarella. The shepherd salad is a must try. The salad is marinated with fresh lemon and extra virgin olive oil. Overall this place has excellent customer service. I also recommend the lamacun (Turkish pizza) to go. You can keep in the freezer and warm it up Days later and it will still be fresh. The lamacun consist of ground lamb with herb and parsley lay on a flat lavash bread. If you ever around the Patterson main st area Try star pide.

Easy take out! Called ahead and it was ready when I got there. Metered parking btw. This was my first experience of "Turkish Pizza." My favorite item today was the #12: Butter and two eggs Pide. I also got the #4 Pide (mevsim) and #16 (lahmacun). My drive for take out was 45 minutes so by the time I got home the pides were cold, I tried to microwave them but obviously that is inferior bc they were soggy. Good taste though so I recommend eating there. Indoor dining is now open, and they have outdoor dining too.

Among all the Arab and Turkish restaurants on this main drag of South Paterson, you have to stop by here. Think pizzeria Turkish style. The bread is served shaped like a canoe and filled with toppings based on the 13 menu options. There is a mixed pide for meat lovers, one filled with cheese and sunny side egg (similar to the Georgian Khachapuri). For my 2nd visit here, I went with the Ozel Pide (ground beef, garlic, and parsley). Served super hot right out of their oven, the pide was cleverly cut up in 12 sections on the plate. Very crispy and enjoyable. My leftovers tasted just as fresh the next day. Complimentary sides include pickled vegetables and a type of medium spicy red pepper paste that was a perfect spread on the pide. The waitress went out of her way to refill my cup of tea (cay pronounced 'chai') to make it hot even though I only drank half my cup while waiting for the pide to come out.

Had the lahmacun and it was very good, up there with some of the best I have had. The place is very clean and the staff very accommodating. My only negative is they only take credit cards for bills above $20, I totally get it giving up a chunk of profits to credit card companies but for me this is a slight negative.

Excellent restaurant with a great salad and kenufe, the pizza is delicious, but not a fan of pizza too much, but it was tasty.

Today I had fresh green beans in a light broth of olive oil and fresh tomato, most often served room temperature and the lovely 'pilaf', short grained rice browned in butter with just a bit of pasta. I also had a stewed beef dish that was tender and flavorful! The meal begins with a serving of homemade pickled veggies, unfortunately I couldn't taste it today, but it looked fresh and crisp and refreshing on this 95 degree day. Pictured is stuffed eggplant with Sukran, the lovely chef who makes everything fresh from scratch. On the menu today was also stuffed peppers. I really like that the kitchen is open and the customers can see what is cooking and how it's cooked. I'm from Istanbul and the food reminded me home. It tastes exactly the same as "Esnaf Restaurants" in Turkey. This is a traditional type of restaurant and they are mostly located in the areas where small businesses accumulate. These restaurants make traditional home cooked Turkish food just like ANATOLIA. Food is similar to the ones that you can find in a traditional Turkish home. My favorites are: Sarma (Dolmades, Grape Leaves), Incik (Lamb Shank), Celery Root, Borek (Su Boregi) and home made yogurt. We drove 80 minutes from Princeton to eat in this restaurant and it is totally worth it! We are coming back sooner than later!

Really great first experience @ Doner Point Express in the willowbrook mall!…read more I stopped by Döner Point Express in the Willowbrook Mall food court, and even though they're relatively new here, I was really impressed by how kind and welcoming the customer service was. I'm currently doing keto, so I'm avoiding sugar and flour, and they were very accommodating. I got extra protein over cabbage and cucumbers, and the döner kebab meat was really well made -- flavorful, seasoned nicely, and cooked just right. It's honestly nice to find a quick food-court option where the quality of the meat actually stands out. What I appreciated even more was that they genuinely cared about the experience. They followed up with me to ask how everything was, and when I explained my dietary restrictions, they were very understanding and helpful. My girlfriend got the falafel combo with rice, fries, and salad, and she really enjoyed it too -- which says a lot because she can be a little picky when it comes to food! Overall, really happy we gave this place a try. Great food, very kind service, and they clearly care about their customers. I'll definitely be back.

My friend and I grabbed a menu and sat down at a table of our choice, then our order was taken immediately. We ordered the Mixed Grill to share, along with the Ezme (spicy turkish salad), and 2 Lahmachun. We also wanted to share the Borek (cheese pastries) but they were not available that day. The food did take long to come out, but given that there was one cook and one server managing the whole restaurant, we were patient. The Mixed Grill Plate came with all kinds of meats, all cooked well; along with rice, and a small salad. The Ezme salad was so good with bread and even better with the grilled meats. The star of the show was the Lahmachun, the bread was so thin and crispy, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. It came with Parsley, tomato, lemon; do yourself a favor and add Ezme to it and ask for onions. You're welcome! I would probably go back simply because I want the Lahmachun with the Ezme. The restaurants ambience is quite casual, but it's very clean. I will be back!
