Actually, this review is for Doner Point's new location in Edgewater, NJ. The food was really good, priced well, for two of us, and we tried several items, total was $100. As for the service, it was adequate. The staff was attentive. As for ambiance, simple but nice. They opened in what used to be two other Mediterranean restaurants in the past 5 years. Unlike the others, this one was really packed pretty early. Only complaint is the inadequate parking. The lot is too small and not much street parking is available.

Stopped in a second time and this time I got the same order Tombik\Gobit . With tax came out to $11.68. I did ask for hot and white sauce to put on the sandwich. That made a difference. I did not get extra meat this time as it was not needed. So, I definitely was ripped off the first time I ordered from here . Taste wise it was good if you like Doner meat. It's not the thinnest Döner meat, but definitely one of the better ones I had.

The restaurant is always busy and for good reason. Service is fast and food is delicious. My husband and I always get the Iskander Kebab and it's always consistent each time. This reminds my husband of home back in Turkey!

Update: contrary to what the business owner claims, these pictures were taken BEFORE consumption. Which proves that we received less than we paid for since he is claiming the amount pictured is not what should have been received based on what we paid for. I removed the bread and tomato/onion from the platter to see how much meat was in the platter. My receipt also very clearly states that I ordered rice and as you can see in the picture I was given a handful of fries. Doubling down when you're wrong about this is so crazy to me and unprofessional, we were over 2 hours away when we opened our food so calling would have done nothing for us since it's not like they could remake it for us. The business owners response really solidified our choice to not give this restaurant a second chance. The rude response was so out of pocket and my review is an honest review based on OUR experience. Instead of inviting us back to give them another try and apologizing for the mistakes made in our order the owner was rude. The Gyro sandwich was also unbitten in the picture very obviously and I picked up the meat to show what the portion was. I stand by my review and experience and don't appreciate the owner trying to say we lied. So for that response in customer service I took away another star. My husband and I occasionally stop in Paterson when we're visiting my family in Jersey, so we were over 2 hours away from home and didn't open our food until we got home. This place is extremely overpriced based on the response to the service we received and the quantity of food we received when paying for extra. My husband and I decided to pickup dinner from here while we were in the area and paid for extra meat in both our platter and sandwich and both had a regular amount of meat. We had also ordered rice with our platter and we were given 7 fries exactly instead. For a $38 plate it was extremely disappointing. There was 1.5 slices of tomato and one piece of soggy bread but no rice. The sandwich had spots with no meet at all in it and we had to supplement from the platter so we weren't eating bread without anything. They also didn't include any yogurt sauce or hot sauce so the food was dry. For an almost $84 meal it was extremely disappointing and frustrating at how cheap they were being considering the price. The meat was flavored well but still didn't justify the price point. The fries were soggy and had no salt on them so we threw the entire container out because they were inedible. The spring rolls were actually cheese rolls and lacked any real flavor. If it wasn't for the errors in our orders and the price not matching the amount of meat we received we would have gone back to give them another try but we definitely will not be returning because we felt extremely cheated. Definitely need to do better for such a popular spot on Main Street in Paterson.

Iskender then some falafel with hummus

Idk about these are reviews but this place is delicious ! Best doner, fantastic beyti and the iskender to die for. This was so freaking good ! I ordered some to take home for dinner. Our waiter was a bit moody but this place gets 5 stars for the food and the kitchen staff. I appreciated how hard the kitchen staff was working and how super organized service was... shoutout goes to them fr Definitely my go to doner spot in Jersey (recommended) Ellerinize Saglik

I am not an expert of Turkish food, but I am very familiar with cheese pide (think Turkish pizza)…read more My family are allium-free vegetarians and the cheese pide fits the bill. We moved and it was finally time to try to find our new go-to place for our pide fix and out of the 10+ restaurants in the area that also serve pide... I chose this one. This place is conveniently located on a very central and busy street. It's mostly street parking (good luck) though they do have 2 dedicated spaces in front if you're lucky. It's a cozy place with maybe 4 tables when you walk in - all were full when we got there around 1 pm on a Monday that happened to be a federal holiday - and we were told that there were more seats around the corner. They built an addition - you will be briefly exposed to the outdoors for a few steps - and it's so much more roomier and brighter with more (and larger) tables. It's climate controlled as well. There was only one man manning the front and everyone else is in the kitchen so expect some wait if it's busy and especially if you're in the separate room, but it honestly wasn't that bad for us. We were all given menus (the two adults AND my two young kids) and given sufficient time to peruse. The menu is fairly simple: they specialize in pide and lahmacun. There's a small salad section and beverages but no dessert. Their pide is different from what I'm used to; they have a super long version that is at least 2 feet long (don't quote that; I didn't bring my tape measure) and a round one that is likely around 12 inches in diameter. I focused on the cheese pide section and the drinks and ordered: Kaşarli Pide (mozzarella pide) - this was for my daughter. It is LONG. I'd venture to say it could even be 2-1/2 feet long as the ends were longer than the board it was on. The dough for this is stretched thin so it comes out almost like boat shaped flatbread with an equally thin, but adequate layer of cheese. It's crisp with a chew and is positively delightful. It says mozzarella, but the cheese used in pide always seems to be more and wonderfully three dimensional. Yuvarlak Kaşarli Yumurtali Pide (2 egg and cheese round pide) - I actually wanted the cheese with tomato long pide but I was also intrigued by a circular one so he added in some sliced tomatoes in this as well! We weren't sure how to eat it as the eggs were still mostly raw but we ended up breaking it up and spreading it everywhere and just cutting it like a pizza. It was AMAZING. The dough on this is thicker than the long pide but not very thick either. Not as crispy but does have crispy edges. The combination I got from this was perfection. I can't pinpoint it but it's definitely juicier - whether that be grease, tomato juices, the egg, or all the above - and that made it nice. Very nice. Ayran - we always order ayran when we get pide. This place doesn't make their own, sadly, but it was nice. It's essentially a salty yogurt drink and still hit the spot. Şalgam (fermented turnip juice) - this is completely new to us. I got this because I noticed that almost every Turkish restaurant in the area also offered this as a beverage and adventurous me got curious. They don't make their own so it's bottled and they only have the spicy version (which is the default). This thing is STRONG. It's got an earthy taste to it like beets (but it's mostly made of purple carrots for color and turnips) but it packs a punch like pickle juice and V8. Salty, spicy, earthy, intense... deep flavors. And I LOVED it at first sip. I chugged the first third. It actually reset my stomach enough that I ate more pide, haha. BUT definitely an acquired taste. My husband thought it was okay and let me have most of it. This drink surprisingly contains wheat, so avoid if there's an allergy. Note: my youngest child has multiple food allergies including to wheat and eggs. They don't have a gluten free alternative, unfortunately. There's a sign saying no outside food allowed, but we brought him his pizza and he was perfectly content with that. We never managed to ask the man if it was okay since he was in and out fast, but he didn't question us when he caught a glimpse of the Pyrex. The pide both came with their own pizza cutter wheel for convenience. They also typically come with pickles on the side but we opted out because their pickles contain garlic. I'm supposed to be trying other pide places to give everyone a fair chance, but I've fallen in love with this place. Even my husband who mostly eats to survive... well, he said it was good (which is huge compared to his usual "it's okay"s). They have good service, the pides are stupendous, it's clean (antibacterial wet wipes at every table), single restroom is tidy, and they introduced me to şalgam. I'm thrilled Pide 28 was my first foray into Turkish food in NJ and am looking forward to trying all the cheese pides on their menu in due time.

As with many others, I've not been to the actual restaurant but even though they were a bit further than some other Turkish spots, they happen to deliver for cheaper compared to most on UberEats/ other delivery apps. Very special note to the Beyran çorbası or Gaziantep Beyran Soup. This is a soup made with shredded lamb, garlic, pepper, black pepper, and rice. I wish this was more common on Turkish menus as this is a wonderful super flavorful soup. There's a good amount of spice and the lamb is very tender also. Highly recommended. Outside of this, I have ordered the Antep Kebab with Pistachio which consists of skewed charcoal-broiled ground beef patties marinated and dressed in pistachio. This was tasty also with tender beef. It came with a large side salad as well as some rice and I would recommended it. I have also had the Içli köfte which they also list as kibbeh as well as a wrap with Çöp Şiş or chopped lamb kebab. The köfte was fine with good flavor and while the inside of the wrap was very tasty and super full of lamb, I found the bread to be a little bit burnt and there it was a little bit too thick. Eventually I just eat the meat and other stuff out of the wrap which was perfectly fine also. No complaints about the delivery. One time it took a bit too long but it's part of the convenience of ordering food online. Mid 4 primarily for the fantastic lamb soup of all things

My friend and I grabbed a menu and sat down at a table of our choice, then our order was taken immediately. We ordered the Mixed Grill to share, along with the Ezme (spicy turkish salad), and 2 Lahmachun. We also wanted to share the Borek (cheese pastries) but they were not available that day. The food did take long to come out, but given that there was one cook and one server managing the whole restaurant, we were patient. The Mixed Grill Plate came with all kinds of meats, all cooked well; along with rice, and a small salad. The Ezme salad was so good with bread and even better with the grilled meats. The star of the show was the Lahmachun, the bread was so thin and crispy, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. It came with Parsley, tomato, lemon; do yourself a favor and add Ezme to it and ask for onions. You're welcome! I would probably go back simply because I want the Lahmachun with the Ezme. The restaurants ambience is quite casual, but it's very clean. I will be back!
