Easily one of our most memorable meals. Ok - not cheap - let's get that out of the way, but value is relative. We left feeling it was worth every penny, looking forward to our return. Attractive decor, great vibe, noise level lively, but we were easily able to have conversation at our table for four. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. Our exceptional "guide" for the evening, Belen, was welcoming, gave a brief intro to the menu, and absolutely added to the positive experience in every way. Service and the pace of the evening was on point. We did not take her recommendation of the Salatim Tower (flatbread with a sample of every spread) to start, but built our own choose 3 + pita - all delicious!! We were ranking the spreads as we moved on to open-fire Saffron Caramelized Cod, Moroccan couscous and fire-roasted carrots. Our conversation was replaced with oohs and aaahs and comments of "yum" or "omg". We all planned to pass on dessert, but Belen mentioned their signature tahini soft serve, adding customers have called it "life-changing", so we shared one and it was. I love a good tapas style restaurant to do family style, it's the best way to taste the entire menu. This place made SUCH a stink about reservations and required a deposit. Only to get there and the restaurant was EMPTY. Our Order: (1) Salatim Trio - no substitution allowed, even though many other yelp reviews said they were able to swap the onion tahini for hummus. My biggest gripe with this dish was their pita allotment. Only one piece for 3 dips, which you presumably will be sharing with multiple people. (2) Falafel - crispy, lacked flavor (3) Crispy Zucchini Blossom - It was crispy and paired well with the stracciatella (4) Crunchy Cauliflower - Crispy and had a delicious sauce (5) Tahini Hummus - not good, needed salt and apparently they didn't have any to bring to the table (no pita included) (6) Pan Roasted Halloumi - V had a soft yet crispy texture and paired well with the honey and pistachios (7) Za'atar Hand-Cut Fries - don't call them za'atar fries because there was barely any seasoning or flavor. (8) Harif - We asked for spicy sauce and this is what they brought us. Didn't tell us it was a menu item, and would be a charge. Wow. In a sea of sub par, overpriced, think they're doing you a favor restaurant, this is an oasis! Phenomenal service from the well Informed waitstaff to the changing of flatware from course to course; a beautiful space that really feels light and Mediterranean, and the food. Delicious! We started with the 3 dips selection, we chose baba ganoush (yummy and lightly smoky flavor), the whipped feta with pistachio and mint (weird sounding but surprisingly delightful!) a d the labneh (a favorite of mine all around and well done here as well). The pita served alongside was fresh and hot, my only gripe is 3 dips came with one pita and extra bread was at a surcharge. We went in for one more piece and almost finished the dips with a bit to spare to pair w entrees. Hubs had the shakshuka with lamb added and was quite pleased, this is one of his fave dishes and they did not disappoint. My other two friends each had the lamb kefta and the steak shawarma wrap. They both raved and nearly cleaned their plates! I was a bit less hungry and opted for the kale salad with falafel. The salad was a large portion (they do encourage sharing but we all wanted different things this day) and the falafel were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We ended our meal with a couple to go boxes, left over falafel and the fries. A fantastic meal overall and one (of the very few) place in south Florida I'd visit again! read more

I had such a great experience at Abbale Aventura! From the food to the service, everything exceeded my expectations. We chose to sit outside, which made for a beautiful, relaxing meal. The atmosphere was very boho and had the perfect Mediterranean vibe. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, I can't remember her name, but we were seated at the table in the far right corner outside, and she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. To start, we ordered the Three Dips for $23, which included the za'atar labneh, whipped feta, and pomegranate tabbouleh. The pomegranate tabbouleh didn't really feel like a dip to me, but it was still delicious, fresh, and light. The whipped feta was my favorite of the three, it was creamy, flavorful, and the addition of pistachios gave it a unique texture and taste that I really enjoyed. The za'atar labneh was smooth, rich, and perfectly seasoned. Everything came out very quickly. We also ordered the falafel, which ended up being one of my favorite dishes of the meal. It was served over hummus with pickled onions, and the combination was absolute perfection. The falafel itself was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly some of the best I've ever had. We also tried the Eggplant Baladi, which had wonderful flavors, although it was slightly bitter for my taste. The Shuk Salad was incredibly fresh, juicy, and essentially a Mediterranean-style shepherd's salad that paired well with everything else on the table. For our entrée, we ordered the half chicken with broccolini. The portion was massive definitely large enough to share with multiple people. To start, we ordered the bubbly Za'atar Laffa bread with tahini hummus--a nice crunch to pick up the creamy hummus. We shared the Halloumi cheese and grapefruit salad, with red cabbage, kale, cucumber, and radishes, was a surprising combination that worked beautifully. Other Sides included falafel balls perched atop hummus, artfully arranged to resemble a flower, and roasted cauliflower. Vegans will find plenty to enjoy from the menu. (This is not a kosher restaurant.) At a neighboring table, a burger caught my attention, looking utterly drool-worthy. Cocktails were creative, albeit pricey, especially for the portion size, running $18 to $20 per glass. The pièce de résistance was the dessert: Tahini Soft Serve 'ice cream' topped with shaved halvah and drizzled with date honey, with a crunchy orange zest roll. The flavor combination was next-level. While the unassuming strip mall exterior may not impress, stepping inside reveals a nice ambiance enhanced by Israeli music playing through the sound system, transporting me to Tel Aviv. I've ordered from Abbale many times over the years, and the food has always been excellent. Because I typically order through Uber Eats, I've rarely had any reason to interact directly with the restaurant. Unfortunately, today I discovered that the customer service experience falls far short of the quality of the food. I ordered a platter that includes both pickled vegetables and a raw salad (arugula, tomato, cucumber, radishes, etc). Due to the current food safety concerns surrounding raw vegetables, especially leafy greens, I wanted to substitute the salad for additional pickled vegetables, which do not present the same risk. The first problem was simply trying to contact the restaurant. There is no way to speak with a person. The phone is answered by an AI system that ultimately can't help with order issues and instead directed me to sends a link to WhatsApp so that a message can be sent to the restaurant through whatsapp--a frustrating process when an order has already been placed and time is of the essence. The representative who eventually responded agreed to remove the salad, but refused to substitute it with additional pickled vegetables because of the restaurant's no-substitution policy. A no-substitution policy may be perfectly reasonable under normal circumstances. However, when menu items are currently associated with well-publicized food safety concerns, rigidly enforcing that policy demonstrates a lack of common sense and customer care. If the restaurant is unwilling to offer a substitute, then the at-risk item should be temporarily removed from the menu and replaced with something of comparable value. Instead, I paid full price for a meal with a portion removed and nothing provided in its place. What was most disappointing was the implication that removing the salad was somehow a favor, the representative literally stated they were doing this as a "courtesy", when I was simply asking not to receive an item that many customers are understandably choosing to avoid given the current circumstances. It's unfortunate because I genuinely enjoy Abbale's food. However, excellent food alone is not enough, especially at a higher end restaurant like Abbale. Accessibility, reasonable customer service, and the ability to respond appropriately to legitimate food safety concerns are just as important. I'm disappointed to say that, after this experience, I won't be ordering from Abbale again. read more

I've had the tahini platter and chicken schnitzel and the pairings in the dish go fantastic together and the chicken has been prepared just right with crispy breading. Been here twice now and the food is consistently amazing. The kefta and the prime steak shawarma wrap are absolute must‑tries -- everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. The only miss for me was the halloumi; not terrible, just not on the same level as the rest of the dishes. Service was okay. The servers were very kind, but the pacing was slow both times, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. The interior is beautiful with a vibey atmosphere, and everything was fairly priced -- especially for Aventura. They first brought us to a table inside, which is what we had requested, but then we asked to move outside and they did it without a problem at all. When I had made my reservation, I indicated it was my wife's birthday and they put a birthday card on the table. They also greeted her with a happy birthday wish. We ordered a couple cocktails and appetizers and put in our order and the server was very friendly and made suggestions.
