According to the owner, Marash is a city in Turkey known for its chefs, and looks like they were able to replicate it in Florida! Flavorful and fresh tasting, with friendly staff! The interior is clean and nicely decorated, with nice lamps along with clean tables and chairs. They also have outdoor seating through the breezeway. The staff were really friendly. The person who seemed to be the owner personally checked on us multiple times, and offered nice suggestions for entrees based on our tastes. The other servers as well were really nice too. My favorites of the entire meal were the manti (Turkish dumplings) and the chicken soup. The manti were small beef dumplings served in a delicious tangy yogurt sauce with some sort of spicy oil on top. They were very filling. The chicken soup was rich, with chicken, carrots, celery and parsley. It had a nice lemon note as well. The entrees - the kabab and the guvec - were hearty and had good flavor. The guvec was really hot (temp wise) because of the clay pot. Kunefe rounded out the meal. Could have used a bit more nuts but otherwise great. Great little spot for dinner! read more

This is my husbands favorite Turkish restaurant. He wanted to introduce me to it so we went there for dinner tonight. The food was filling and healthy with a lot of nutrients. The meat and rice were very well prepared. The Turkish tea was also good to drink alongside our meal. Our servers name was Sadi and he was extremely kind and informative. I stopped into this spot on my drive from Miami to Palm Beach since it was just off the Interstate and I was craving a cuisine I haven't had in a while. I was also looking for something to take on the road while driving. I parked in the rear and tried to enter 2 doors before I finally found the real front door of the dining area. I tried the adana wrap and added a tomato sauce since I saw that the wrap would likely be fairly dry and I don't like dry sandwiches or wraps. This turned out to be a good idea and the wrap made for a nice road trip item. The wrap isn't cheap, but it was prepared quickly, did the job, and I received excellent service during my short visit. read more

Randomly stopped in on a mid-week evening, craving Turkish food, and wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and friendly, and my beef shish kabob meal was very tasty and nicely plated (and the beef itself was really tender). As good as my meal was, though, a couple of things keep Marash from being a five-star restaurant for me: first, whenever I go out for Turkish food, I look forward to two things: lentil soup and excellent bread. Marash doesn't serve the former (a rare omission from a Turkish menu), and their bread isn't anything special. Second, I would have preferred chicken over beef, but all their chicken dishes seem to be made with thigh meat (also unusual), which I really don't care for. So, I picked another quick lunch item -- döner wrap, which is basically meat being cut while it's "turning around." That's what the term döner means. It's something I ate more back in my early Istanbul years. The topping inside were ok. The only issue I had with the wrap was that there was too much yogurt sauce on the end of it. I think they should've left me with two packs of yogurt sauces on the side and not put any in the wrap. I took that one yogurt pack (in picture) back home. A lovely Colombian middle aged woman was our excellent server. She explained the menu and offered recommendations. We ate the gyro platter and falafel wrap. Both were fresh and delicious. It took about 10min for the food to arrive, in about a half-full restaurant. We also ordered the rolled kadayif for dessert. It was kind of like a soft pancake. Marash is a gem of a restaurant. The food is sensational quality and very authentic. If you're into Turkish or Middle Eastern cuisine, you should definitely make it a point to stop by. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and there's a limited amount of parking out back which is shared with other businesses in the strip of stores. The few times we were there the lot was very crowded, so be prepared for a wait. The restaurant on the other hand is not usually crowded, so we have always received very attentive and solid service. After being seated, our great waitress was very quick about putting our order in. We decided to get a few of the kebabs to share, 2 of the Marash lamb kebab, the chicken shish kebab and the kufte kebab. We also got a Turkish stew known as Guvetch and a falafel appetizer. We were really happy with the food quality. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portion size was very big. The kebabs in particular were outstanding, but for me the star of the show was the Guvetch which was exquisite. It's basically marinated cubes of sirloin cooked in a sand pot with bell pepper, onion, garlic and tomato and served bubbling hot in a cast iron bowl. It was hearty and satisfying. Just perfect. People were stealing this dish from me left and right. The pricing is a bit high ($17 to 24 for an entree) and our bill for five was close to $200 including food, drinks, tax and tip. But you're undoubtedly getting a really solid meal at Marash, one that you're almost certain to remember fondly. I love this place. Five stars! read more

A truly wonderful meal at this family run Turkish restaurant. We were greeted at the door by one of the owners while the other was cooking. It was am incredibly warm and welcoming experience. I am going to start backwards. The meal was amazing, but I tried a new dessert that is worth a star of its own! Kadayıf. I have never tasted anything like it. It is spun hot dough that is light and airy. It is soaked in a sweet liquid that seemed to have honey and sugar. It is topped with a layer of crushed pistachio nuts that provides crunch. Flavor and texture in one warm dessert. I am swooning while thinking about it. Now, let's go back to the start of the meal. After looking at the menu and asking questions for a long time, we decided on a grilled platter for two. The flavors were transcendent. I enjoy Turkish food, but this was spiced so perfectly that I was saying yum out loud! My favorites in the grill plate were the Kafta, a mix of beef and lamb, as well as the chicken kebab. The gyro meat was a little greasy, but I could not stop eating it. I recommend ordering hummus with it for a creamy texture. read more

We've now been to this restaurant four times in just over a month. Each time the quality and quantity of the food has been consistent and exceptional, the Meza sampler, which can be customized Is generous. In four visits, four of us failed to wipe every drop ... because we were sated. Their babaganosh and hummus, not one of my favorites, were notable. The fried liver cubes, which my wife professes to hate but loved, were the best any of our foursomes (8 in all) ever had. The four lamb chops, cooked perfectly, were excellent, we've had the beef kebob (rare and tender) each time (enough said), the Adana Kebob very good (we'll go for the slightly spicier Marash Kebob, next time). Service was attentive and pleasant ingredients & history shared. The hand hammered platters and unusual Turkish coffee covered copper cups elegant. Pleasant music, modern clean ambiance. Haven't had the phyllo rolls again ... simply no room. 2 appetizers and 3 entrees are enough for 4. I think this was the first illustrated menu I've seen that was true to the dish served. Turkish cuisine has a special place as my husband spent some time living there many years ago. He also likes getting to speak the Turkish words he remembers. I was craving something healthy, so I ordered their shepherds salad which was so fresh and all the veggies crunchy (no lettuce). I just added a bit more sumac spice to my taste. And along with the salad, I requested an adana Kebab -- just the lamb meat only. It was perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right. We each had some Turkish chai. Their tea is aromatic and goes well with the food (and dessert). My husband had a kebab wrap. It wasn't very large, but it was packed with meat and veggies. He dipped it into their version of tsaziki sauce. He said it was good. The best was our dessert: their kataif. We've decided that we like the Turkish version most of all the ones we have tried.
