I'm gonna chalk that up to (1) them still being new and figuring out their crowd/demands and (2) the fact that everything is made to order. Major pros are the variety of fresh and dietary-friendly ingredients. They have a couple of things other smoothie bowl places in the area don't like agave, blue spirulina, and coconut water. They also offer a variety of sizes from kid to XL bowls - something for each craving size and price range. I had the green base and it was so yummy. The kiwi & banana really took it home. I can't wait to get another. I also tried the purple which was also good - flavor wise it's your standard açaí bowl, what you can expect to find most places. We were also visited tableside by Chef/Owner Geno Goodman, and had a nice conversation about the restaurant biz. Our food was delicious. We started with the smoked deviled eggs, which were nicely smoked and seasoned. B had a special, branzino, with collards and Mac and cheese. I decided on a small rack of ribs with collards and corn on the cob. Everything was simply wonderful. The ribs were falling off the bone and amply sauced. I only cook with olive oil or plant butter, so I was pleasantly surprised to find the oils here comparably priced to grocery stores. I purchased a fig balsamic (for me - I love ANYTHING fig), some stuffed grape leaves (for me!) and some olive oil as gifts. The grape leaves were addictive. I finished the entire container in two days. The service was fantastic. I was greeted upon entering, and after explaining it was my first time in the store, the lady showed me around and told me about the history of Dimitri's and helped me decide on what to purchase. She let me sample some of the balsamic. They have a full olive bar and fresh breads, baked in coordination with a local bakery. Will definitely start buying my olive oil here. Great first experience!
