Came here for lunch as a solo date. Inside was really cute and intimate. The servers were nice as well. I personally like when my server doesn't bother me that much when I'm on a solo date so it was nice that they gave me space. I ordered their lunch special with salmon a la carte on the side. They had a different take on the Philly roll which is absolutely loved because i usually have to order it they way they give at other places. Definitely going to be returning.

The place is charming. The food amazing. The service was excellent! The avocado salad was the best I have ever had.

Got sushi for take out here and it was reasonably priced and tasted fresh. They have ample parking space since they are in a shopping center. Service was good. They had my food ready for pick up in a timely matter.

Terrific lunch special. Three of us dropped in for the lunch special. The restaurant is narrow but bright and clean in appearance. Service was fine. All of us went with the lunch special. It came with miso soup, Asian salad and three rolls from a list of 23. (See photo for list) Green tea was extra. Popular at our table were: tuna roll, candy cane roll, crazy volcano roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and avocado roll. Pretty inexpensive we all thought.

This was my first time ordering takeout via Yelp- Grubhub. The service was fast and the sushi was good.

Got the christmas tree, pink dragon, and supreme roll for $40 ish. It was pretty delicious and I will be going back for the Saturday lunch deal.

We recently ordered from Yama Sushi and it was as yummy as the first time. I never took photos for my last review, so this one comes with some pretty shots - especially the sushi lollipop! I also had to update my review because Yama gave us a piece of cheesecake on the house, which I thought was so nice!

Service was so good and fast and straight to the point. The ambiance is nice- it's so quiet and easy to talk to my partner to enjoy a meal. The sushi omggggg!!!!! More fish than rice such a good bang for your buck. The prices were good too I am coming back here !

Visited Yama Sushi with a group of 9 w/o a reservation. The staff quickly put some tables together for us and we were seated in 2 minutes! As a group 5 of us ate sushi, and 4 ate off the regular menu. All of the rolls were good, a couple were very good - Christmas tree roll (unique twist) and Caterpillar roll......hard to remember all the different names. I would definitely go back!

If you love sushi, especially special rolls - this is an excellent place to go to with friends. Order the boats for a good mix of sashimi + rolls for a decent price. I've went a couple of times with the friends I've made in college - and as a sushi enthusiast, this is one of my favorite places to go to near the college campus. If it's one of your birthdays - you may be treated! Service is timely and the people check in with you often. The fish might not be as fresh as the other sushi restaurants that are more local to fresher catches - however the proportions are quite decent. Expect to spend about $10-$15 per person. For special occasions (ordering large dishes and desserts) it may be $20-$30

I am plant based vegan and always get skeptical when I travel and try to find true plant based vegan options. The raw juice I had was a 12 oz and it was The Chill which had spinach, mint, apples and oranges. It was really good but could have been a bit more chilled. The food options on the menu I would definitely eat but I had already eaten prior and just wanted a green juice. However, I definitely recommend for plant based vegan options and I'd definitely go back.

Notably, this place was open into the evening, despite the name. I found the perfect occasion to try it, but what I got wasn't quite what I was looking for. While they definitely have the luxury of fresh ingredients and are all vegetarian I think, their interpretation of a kale caesar had more grains than greens. It seems weird being in the position of wishing there was more kale in my kale salad. The hearts of palm were interesting, and while I was critical for a moment of the staff having a conversation about not knowing what hearts of palm are, admittedly I wasn't quite sure myself (it pretty much is what it sounds like). However, the amount of parmesan they were cooked in was heavier and saltier than I was expecting for a salad. I'm not saying it didn't taste good, but again, though it was a full box of freshly made food, it just was not really what I was looking for. Maybe some of the other items are different.

One is more of an expected dining room, and the other is a table space near the bar. We were seated in the latter section. I will say this was my only minor complaint. It seems like they want to be an upscale dining experience, but the presence of TVs playing sports is killing the vibe. However, the service and food by far compensated for that. Carolyn (I believe was her name) was our server, and she was just fantastic. She was pleasant and attentive. My daughter and I split four of the mezzedes, and I ordered the mushroom soup and she ordered a side of lemon potatoes. My favorite dish was the wood-fired olives. Simple, but so very good. She loved the halloumi so much, we got a second order (it is a super small serving). The spanikopita, on the other hand, was quite large and meant for sharing. We're vegetarian and found the options both bountiful and delectable. While it is a bit on the pricey end of the spectrum, I'd say it's worth it.

My experience was very underwhelming. The positives: I liked that there is a parking lot across the street specifically for the restaurant because street parking is very limited. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was nice and tried her best to be attentive even though the kitchen was so backed up and moving at a snails pace. The pita bread was delicious. The desserts were great. My favorites were the baklava and loukoumades. Really the only dessert I didn't care for was the chocolate rum and roses cake because I'm not a big rose fan because it has the tendency of overpowering the other flavors in certain treats. The negatives: The kitchen was very slow at getting things out, even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Aside from the desserts, I didn't care for the food. The biggest issue was everything was lukewarm by the time we received it at our table. The hummus was just ok. The bread was great alone. The Greek village salad had way more feta than anything else and needed more oil and vinegar. The spanakopita was ok but some batches came out burnt but they were never hot. The Cyprus meatballs were so burnt that we couldn't even eat them. The lamb and beef dip was too salty. The stuffed grapes leaves were just ok. The macaronia tou fournou had the potential to be really good but it was not warm enough. I want to believe it was just a bad night and maybe their food is better outside of restaurant week but I'm afraid to try again and be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.

I tried one thing here, so this review is based on that! Pekara was a charming and unassuming bakery. It felt very Eastern European and when we arrived around 10am, a lot of things were sold out. This is definitely more of a takeout spot, but you are able to sit there if you'd like. The person behind the cashier was really kind and patient. We tried the blueberry puff.
