When I locked myself out of my room, she didn't show any sign of exasperation or frustration but rather happily provided me another key. There were other customers in the lobby at the time, so she asked to be reminded of my room number in a soft voice, rather than broadcasting it to everyone in earshot. Room was clean, mattress not as firm as I prefer, remodeled bathroom and terrific shower head. A little paint would go far in the appearance of the outside of the room doors. BIG negatives: unsecured wifi...unacceptable. No milk or yogurt the 2nd morning of my stay. So, no milk to drink or to have cold cereal. And I was at breakfast early...someone should have run to the store immediately once that lack was known. Location was extremely convenient for Canyon RimVisitor Center, the town of Fayetteville, hiking trails, numerous restaurants, etc.

Beds were comfy. They also have an outdoor pool on the premises, free parking and Elliott's, the restaurant onsite, was also tasty! Complimentary breakfast runs from 630-10am and includes coffee and tea, make your own waffles, yogurt, cereal, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, mini muffins, toast, bagels and donut holes, bananas and apples.

Maybe it's the nostalgia. Maybe it's legit. Either way, I loved this motel. This place reminded…read moreme of my business travel days, in a very positive way. I'm having a hard time finding anything I didn't like about this place. Maybe the price at $99, incl tax for one night. That said, here are the highlights: Location - Awesome, right off I-77, near just about any kind of restaurant you could want. It's minutes from Tamarack, a WV craft and food venue that everyone traveling I-77 must visit. Check-in and service - check-in was smooth, friendly, and very informative. Service at breakfast was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast options were adequate, with eggs, sausage, waffles, cold cereal, fruit, coffee and juices offered in the on-premise restaurant. Room - clean, spacious, and well stocked. It might be simple, but water pressure and temperature are both excellent. In-room coffee, plenty of towels, a desk for working or eating, a comfy side chair, and iron/ironing board. Amenities - as mentioned before, there is both an on-premise restaurant and separate lounge. They both looked spacious and welcoming. Sadly, I didn't visit either, regrettably deciding to hit Ruby Tuesday's for their AYCE garden bar (I prefer to call it the AYCE E-coli bar). They offer pet-friendly rooms. They are separate, and come with a one-time $25 fee. On TV, I found many premium channels for movies, and all the standard cable package channels (via DirecTV). Parking was ample, but must warn that walking distances could be long because of the parking and building layout. I loved this stay and will likely be returning to this property if I make the trek from FL to OH again.

Aesthetic: A well run Hampton Inn…read more My Favorites: The free snack selection. Experience: This was a very well managed Hilton property, we enjoyed our night here. We were impressed with all the complimentary snack offerings upon arrival. The beds were standard, comfy, and clean. We had a nice little mountain view and it was a cute area. The tub in the shower didn't have a drain plug and looked like it needed to be painted badly, and the water pressure was very weak, that was the only downside, but not a huge deal for an overnight. We'd definitely stay here again when in Princeton.

This trip was no different--after a seven-hour road trip, the four of us (plus my service dog) rolled in, dreaming of a quick swim and some relaxation. Spoiler alert: that dream died fast. We used the Hilton app to check in, but I went down to the desk for a second key so my husband and I could both access the room and amenities. I gave my room number, and--without asking for my name, ID, or even confirming I belonged there--the employee just handed me a key and said, "Have a good night." I'm sorry, WHAT? That's not customer service, that's a security disaster waiting to happen. We stayed in room 504, where we were greeted by a musty, dirty odor strong enough to knock you backward. The room looked like it hadn't seen a dust cloth in years. The bathtub? Absolutely disgusting. Several light bulbs were out. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the whole place felt like a tropical rainforest with the humidity, and the Wi-Fi (which I need for my work as a REALTOR®) didn't connect at all. To top it off, the shower had no hot water, and by morning, I'd developed a sore throat. The pool was supposed to be our redemption moment. Instead, an interior light fixture came loose while my kids were in the water. We immediately got them out and told the staff. Two hours later, the pool was still open and people were still swimming like nothing happened. Because apparently, here, safety hazards double as "added ambiance." Then there's the "pet relief" area--a 5x5 patch of grass that looked like a landmine field of other dogs' poop, with shards of glass scattered throughout. The bag dispensers were empty, not that I didn't bring my own. My poor service dog deserves better than that. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I spotted exposed wires on the 5th floor, seemingly connected to a security camera. Nothing says "welcome" quite like loose electrical wiring. The one and only pleasant surprise? Breakfast. It was actually good--shockingly good, given everything else. Unfortunately, one decent meal doesn't erase the fact that this stay was dirty, unsafe, uncomfortable, and far below the standard Hilton promises, especially for Diamond members.
