a tray of food with meat, rice, and broccoli

This was my first time going to Yangs. I always see it on my drive home from work and it's right around the corner from my home. I ordered ahead for the beef and broccoli lunch and chicken teriyaki. Upon entering the side door, I walked down the hall to a main entrance. No one was there except a cook who was facing the other way, so not incredibly inviting. I went to give the cook my credit card to which he said it would be a ten dollar minimum. Overall? Food was pretty good. They don't give bursting at the styrofoam seams portions you would see at your typical chinese restaurant.

Waiting for my food.the women taking my order was not friendly. I felt like she was doing me a favor.

I am alway in search of great places to eat. Unfortunately this is not one of them. With all the positive reviews, I thought this would be a great place to eat. Unfortunately I must a caught them on a bad day or the reviews are from friends and family of the business. As you can see my egg fu Young was burnt and greasy. My friend had vegetable lo mein which had no vegetables. The fried rice was awful. It smells like cleaning supplies. Almost $40 down the tubes. I advise you to go to the French quarter which is in the same building. They have far better food. They were closed or I would've ordered from them. The service was awful. And friendly. The woman act as if I was doing her a favor.

Awful watered down (yellow?) duck sauce and the terrible fried wontons (with mystery meat)

My fiancé and I have gotten take out from here a few times in the past. It was ok, not great, but passable. After tonight's experience it's going to take some convincing to go back. We ordered the Mongolian beef which was flavorless and mostly onions. Also ordered the Ta Chien Chicken which on the menu says - boneless fried chicken in a hot brown sauce - sounded like something savory but turned out to basically be general gao's chicken with vegetables. Also had a few apps, one of which was fried wontons (with meat). Mostly all wonton with what looked like wok or grill scrapings. As for what type of "meat" I have no idea. One can only imagine. The sauces they included were watered down and just plain awful. The duck sauce looked like orange juice. We live in the area so there's not a whole lot else to pick from. But I'll likely make the drive elsewhere. Would not recommend...

Great Chinese food located in Rutland. We order from Yangs regularly and we have never been disappointed.

Good quality chinese takeout; so happy we've got it close by! Hand-formed crab rangoons, great lo mien; can't go wrong.

Much better than any Chinese in Worcester or Holden (I've tried them all).

The…read morespace is simple, with small tables and picture menus covering the walls, but that just adds to its charm. Everything is made fresh to order from the thick, hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, and scallion pancakes. Ordering is quick and casual. You place your order at the back right counter when you walk in (for dine-in or takeout), and the cashier also acts as your server. If you order a noodle soup, they'll ask if you want green onions and/or cilantro. After that, just grab any open table and relax. We ordered a variety of dishes. Appetizers: Scallion pancakes: (3/5) nice crispy pancakes with scallions. Dumplings with pork and leeks: (3/5) tender dumplings filled with pork and some leeks Spicy stewed beef noodle soup: (4/5) thick hand pulled noodles in a savory broth topped with vegetables like bok choy and mushroom and some tender beef Hot and sour vermicelli soup: (4/5) very tangy savory broth with tender vermicelli noodle and ground pork. Medium spicy level Biang Biang noodles with pork: (4/5) their signature hand-pulled noodles are sautéed in a medium spicy sauce with pork. Overall this place hits the spot for an authentic Chinese meal without the glitz and glamour.
