Good Chinese take out. Pick ups are approx 15-20 mins. We like the pupu platter, wonton soup, general Gao chicken.

Although this place is unassuming from the outside, it has, hands down, the best Chinese food we've found in the area. Highly recommended.

Awesome egg rolls, only place that does them right. Not greasy at all, crispy and good veggies inside.

China City - Combo plate with Beef Teriyaki, Chicken Fingers, Boneless Ribs, and Pork Fried Rice, with Wings added

Small strip mall joint with over-the-counter ordering and a handful of tables. Many different lunch and all-day combination plate sections to choose from. Tried the following on two visits. Chicken Fingers (on a combo): Light, crisp batter. Typically low meat-to-batter ratio, but decent flavor. Average or possibly a bit below. Beef Teriyaki (on a combo): Nice tender texture with good moistness. Not much char or marinade flavor. Average. Boneless Ribs (on a combo): Good sized pile, thin strips, welcome char, generous glaze, good flavor, though some pieces dry. A little above average. Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): Hefty serving, good pork inclusions. Less of an old school Chinese joint flavor and more of a Rice-A-Roni feel, but good rice. So a little above average unless you're looking for a trip down memory lane. Chicken Wings (add-on to a combo): An extra $3.99 gets you two whole wings (equivalent to four pieces), a good deal. Breaded, but not the dreaded kind of hard shell breaded; these were light, flaky, crisp, and delicious, more along the lines of southern fried chicken. Pleasant flavor, though not five spice. Good juiciness to match the crunch. Well above average to near-elite. Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a combo): Similar construction as the fingers on a different combo, but much larger of piece and much higher of meat-to-batter ratio. Much more enjoyable. Fire engine red sauce on the side brought no fruit but a bit more tartness than most renditions of this sauce type. Overall, about average, but higher than average for an over-the-counter joint like this. Egg Roll (on a combo): Solid effort, with crisp shell and a cabbage interior that wasn't lacking flavor. Good crispness, good moistness. Above average. Chicken Wings (full order): Same impressive size, crispness, and juiciness as in the combo, with possibly more flavor. If you like a crunchy wing and don't mind the southern fried chicken batter, these are really good ones, even by sit-down joint standards. Well above average to near-elite. Pleasant experiences. Should really be a 3.5. Try the wings.

From the time they reopened after a brief closure about a year and a half ago, quality has been good--more at all star level than hall of fame level, but always good. But things recently took a step up. I learned they have a new chef. On my most recent lunch visit I went with a combo and an add-on of a side of lobster sauce. Sweet and Sour Chicken: Average size, average batter, but crisp and well-above-average meat-to-batter ratio. None of the typical separation of chicken from shell. This last part was a noticeable step up from previous visits, where the fingers have always been good, but not this good. Also, stepping up was the sweet-and-sour sauce, which was darker and more complex than the only-sweet fire engine red model I've come to expect. Very pleasing and near-elite. Pork Fried Rice: Fresh, fluffy, warm, and studded with fresh pork mini cubes, along with onion and egg. What it wasn't was dark and bold. Maybe I'm cursed with being too hard to please or cursed with a good memory of how many dozens if not hundreds of times I've been blessed by superbly darkened and flavored rice in the past. Despite not being dark enough to compete with the past, it competes well with the present competition, easily coming in above average. Egg Roll: Another item that's always been good, but today, very good. Warm, crisp, and a moist and crunchy blend of cabbage and celery, with some dots of pink. Well above average, this time flirting with near-elite. Lobster Sauce: I've had mixed experiences at Singapore with this dish, which has always been at least good but has varied in darkness, saltiness, and gloppiness. This time, as a whole order rather than on a combo, it came in with more whole black beans than typical, good black bean flavor, zero saltiness, zero glop, and more of a chestnut brown color than darkest near-black brown. A pretty good compromise; it's like they knew how far to ramp up the flavor and then stopped before it got out of hand, as can happen when lobster sauce starts looking like WD40. Near-elite. Very strong showing that's the best overall visit I've had there. I'm not sure how repeatable it is, but I plan to find out soon.

The place looked clean and fancy; their restrooms were clean, fancy, and even has a changing table. They serve standard Chinese American fare. The service has always been good and friendly. The prices were average to above average; of course, it increases as the years go by due to inflation. Parking was always plentiful. I usually get the general tso combo with fried rice but lately I've been loving their Chicken Fingers, Boneless Ribs, Beef Teriyaki, Pork Fried Rice for $15.95; I usually swap out chicken fingers for fried chicken wings. On this most recent visit, we dined in with about 10 of us. Our server was funny, quick, and attentive. I also had a side of crab rangoons and a single size of a scorpion bowl. Everything was excellent except for the beef teriyaki on a stick, it was unusually tough. Other than that, overall, the food and service was good. It's definitely still up there with one of my favorite Chinese spots in this area.
