Neither the best nor the worst, but low prices, big portions, and incredible value. Simple, mostly-takeout operation with only a few tables. Combo plates are the way to go. Sweet & Sour Chicken: Average, beer batter, typical meat-to-batter ratio, with very tasty sauce but sans fruit. Good quantity. Pork Fried Rice: Below average, kinda dry. Hot & Sour Soup: Huge portion, kinda oily. Boneless Ribs: Generous portion and OUTSTANDING tenderness and flavor. With the trip for these alone. This works as long as you know what you're in for. It's not the ultimate Chinese experience but it's a million times better than Burger King. read more

This is the best Chinese food we have found in New England since moving here from NewJersey 1994. The food is tasty and generous without being drown in salt and Soy. The place is immaculately clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful. You can see how clean the kitchen is because the counter is wide open to all the cooks and all the prep areas everything is in perfect order. We live 30 minutes away and drive there and back for take out at least once a month. If it were closer we would be there every week. read more

Ordered from here over the weekend over the weekend since it's close to home, and open late. It doesn't seem like there is 'dine in' with the pandemic, with a handful of self seating benches, and the place was very clean and set up for safety with the woman working wearing a mask, social distancing, and add ins for take out orders like duck sauce, hot mustard, soy sauce , were set up on a table efficiently to grab and go after you pick up your order. The food was ready within 10 minutes, average prices, and decent portions. The most important thing was the food was excellent and exceeded my expectations. We got a pu up platter which everything was fried perfectly and not oily it greasy. The veggie lo mein could of had a little more variety with the vegetables, but were still good. I am very picky about my Chinese food. Best Chinese around. Always consistent. You can see them in the back making everything themselves. I'm floored that people would give them bad reviews. If I could do 3.5 stars I would... Got takeout from Peking Garden for 4 people. Portions were average, not oversized. In our group the General Tao's Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken was enjoyable. The Szechuan Beef was boring and bland (supposed to be hot & spicy but was neither). We also liked the Crab Rangoons. My wife liked the Wonton Soup, but I thought it was average. The takeout time and service was spot on and when we asked for an add-on item they cooked it up quickly so we didn't have to wait long. Prices are decent and I would be wiling to give them another shot and ask about their spicy food. Maybe they have different levels and didn't ask me and we got the wimpy level. :) read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of food here. Everything was really good, crab rangroons were golden brown, spare ribs were good, and the beef lo mein was loaded with tender beef and good flavor. Prices are good, great for a takeout place. read more

The curry was slimy and didn't even taste like curry, the pork fried rice was dry and bland, and the ginger beef had no ginger flavor at all until I bit into a piece of what I assume was sliced ginger root, and it was STILL barely noticeable. My roommate complained that her whole appetizer platter was dry and the wonton soup had zero flavor. It was all so terrible that I couldn't even justify putting it in the fridge for later. It went straight into the trash, something I've never had to do with a delivery order before. Good thing, too, because I started getting an upset stomach 15 minutes later. Very disappointed overall. The Mongolian Beef had an undistinguished brown gravy & was not very flavorful & definitely not "hot and spicy" as described. It &the not-so-hot-and-spicy Pad Thai were quite greasy. The Peking Ravioli were good, if also a little greasy. The dipping sauce lacked ginger. The wife & I are serious (amateur) cooks & foodies. I am severely disappointed with the way they handle the New Years holiday. My wife went and ordered a couple meals with sides, they gave her a bad time and also didn't give her the correct meals. Also they charged her to much without giving her the 2 regular meals. Go during any other time and yes the food is good . Next time since they cannot handle many orders, we will do American... Such a disappointment... Was looking forward to the Q1's with shrimp fried rice. read more

While this place might not necessarily be the best Chinese restaurant around, it certainly is the best of the take-out variety. You have to go to Lunenburg (Asian Imperial Garden) to find anything comparable (more expensive and less convenient for me). It's in a strip mall and the space was not formerly a restaurant, so everything appears to be brand new. It's the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen in a Chinese restaurant. Prices are typical for takeout chinese but as I said, the quality is much better than normal. I've ordered here half a dozen times and the folks working are always friendly and smiling. The food is your typical American Chinese, all the usual staples: lo main, chow mein, fried rice, general tso's, etc. So far, so good, with all that I have tried. I tried their chicken curry last time and I think it was the best implementation of chinese curry I've ever had. Tasty, cheap, quick, and convenient, it's a perfect combination for me. read more

Yikes, The people giving Peking Garden five stars need to get out more and check out places closer to Boston for what a real five star Chinese restaurant is like. Is this the best Chinese restaurant in Leominster? I would definitely hate to eat at the worst. This is totally a takeout place as there are only two tables. We tried Peking Garden based on the 4 1/2 star rating. I didn't really have a chance to read many of the other reviews which I usually do. The young lady taking our order at the window was very nice and the food was delivered in less than 15 minutes. We ordered sweet-and-sour chicken, and Kung Pao chicken luncheon plates as well as a vegetable lo mein. Way too much celery and vegetables, bland seasoning and not enough chicken in the chicken dishes. The fried rice was slightly dry and uninspired; nothing memorable. The vegetable lo mein was just OK. The order of Crab Rangoon's were flat dry and ordinary, and a large order of jumbo fried shrimp were excessively greasy and the portion size small. Do yourself a favor, get in the car drive the half an hour to 45 minutes to a larger metropolitan city with a really good Chinese restaurant. I will say that no one got sick but that was probably the high point of the meal. I am giving Peking Garden a one star rating because the quality of the food is rather poor and the suspicious number of 5 star ratings. read more

First I will say the food is the best. Just don't go on New Years Eve. First they have a very young girl on register which shouldn't be. Then u wait 2 hours and I have no prob waiting. But they are so disorganized. First I order 2 dishes that I payed for because its the young girl taking order. Order came to $46 and some change and they gave me a order of $23.00. Then 2 hours later they tell me oh we arent doing Q1s tonite. Well I tell you I paid for them!!!!#!## So you ppl really need some better communication and more help and get the 12 yr old off the register!!! Like I said food was good that I got but it was someone elses order and i got got a 23.00 order and paid for a $46.00 order!!!!! Then the 12 yr old girl at register never gave me a receipt. Honestly, I do now know how ppl are rating this anything close to 4 let alone 5 stars. The food here is terrible. The crab rangoons are super thick wontons that have thick cream cheese with no taste are disgusting and chicken wings are just breaded chicken with NO flavor at all. Every bite you have you have that nasty fried food taste on the back of your throat. We asked for spicy beef and broccoli and when I picked it up a asked them about it and got home and it wasn't spicy at all. This is one of the worst Chinese food places around. After reading all of these great reviews, I thought I'd be in for a much better meal and better customer service. The lady over the phone was rude, and didn't take my order down correctly, and when my beau went to pick up my order, she interrupted him as he was listing off what I'd ordered (so as to get the order right)- she interrupted him and sent him home with the wrong food. When it got here, the soup was OK, and the combo that I'd received instead of the appetizer plate I ordered was gross. The rice tasted like it was at least a day old- weird after taste, dry, just yuck. One bite. Spit it out. The soup was OK. I am a total Chinese food snob and I, myself, cannot believe that some of the best I have ever had is at a complete hole-in-the-wall in Leominster, MA. I often start my judging of Chinese food based off of three things: beef teriyaki, boneless spare ribs, and crab rangoon -- all of which, especially the boneless ribs, are impeccable at Peking Garden. Whenever my husband and I travel out to that area of MA we ALWAYS work Peking Garden into the agenda and are sure to place an extra order of the ribs. One time I saw them making them in the kitchen -- they were literally carving them so skinny off of a massive slab of meat, being sure to avoid any fat. It was impressive and it made me happy to see where my food was coming from. I highly suggest one of their MANY lunch/dinner specials; you really get the bang for your buck. I have yet to try their moo shu (a dish I love), but it's so hard to steer away from what I've already found to be so perfect. I can't suggest this place more.
