Honestly don't ever step foot in these candle stores because they're usually overpriced but we came in to find Bayberry candles for the new year. Tradition states that if you light a Bayberry candle at either Christmas or New Years and let it burn out on its own it will bring blessings of abundance. The legendary poem goes: "This bayberry candle comes from a friend / so on Christmas Eve burn it down to the end. / For a bayberry candle burned to the socket, / will bring joy to the heart and gold to the pocket." So, why not? We walked in and I asked an associate if they had Bayberry candles. The girl said they only had the ones in the little basket by the wall of candles and all sold out of other ones and walked away but with further investigation we found a lot of different options of Bayberry candles throughout the store. Guess the girl didn't want to waste any time helping us out. The other male associate on the other hand was fairly friendly at checkout though. Just wish the first associate was nicer and more helpful, her attitude left me with a bad first impression. Trust me, I get it, I really do.. working in retail during the holiday season isn't fun. Been there done that but it's your job so suck it up and be nice to your customers because they're the only reason you still have a job. Plus, it's not like the store was busy at all so it wouldn't have hurt her to be more helpful to us. I think we were one of 2 customers in the store. Anyways, probably will only come back when in need of a Bayberry candle but maybe next year I'll just look online. read more

I just want to make you aware of the horrible service I experience with Carlos we had in your store today (2-2-2022). We were ready to check out and use a coupon that I had for $10 off any $30 purchase. When I showed him the coupon he abruptly said that I wasn't able to use it because I was purchasing items that were on promotion. He stated that the coupon was only good for regular purchases. No where on the coupon does it say that not even in the fine print. I got in my car and ordered the exact same items with exact same promotions and was able to use the coupon. We went back into the store to let him know that I was able to get the same items with the same promotions and use my coupon. He rudely rolled his eyes and pulled the bag away from me. Instead of offering to honor the coupon or at least trying to scan it (at least so the store doesn't lose the sale) he just said whatever asked for the card we used and said bye. It's sad that the coupon would have worked with my purchase and lose the sale. I will just continue to shop online and not walk in the store again. read more

I love this store I just wish I didn't have to drive across town to get there. They have a tremendous selection of fragrances in all sizes. I recently found out that if they are out of stock they can order for delivery to your address. There is usually a good promotion to help you buy more for your money. The staff is friendly and willing to assist. Please shop here we lost 2 out of 3 San Antonio locations and I don't want to see this one shut down anytime soon. read more

Not a fan of the price, but sign-up for their emails to get the info on when the deals are... the candles last long and smell strong enough you can smell throughout the house. Regular price is $29.50 per large candle (no way am I spending that)... 4 large candles for $50 was today's deal, but they run deals all the time through the year. I don't think there is another official Yankee candle store in San Antonio, so you won't be able to use the same deal at the department stores and other places that sell Yankee. 4 candles will last myself over a year for sure at my house even with frequent use read more

By far the best Yankee Candle store I've ever shopped at. I'm a Navy veteran and an avid traveler ( yes, wanderlust is one of my vices). Yankee Candle's Soft Blanket (unfortunately no longer sold in stores, but they can order it for you), Lux Cashmere, and Sage & Citrus are my favorites in that order. Smallish store with a large selection. It is sometimes hard to browse because they are often empty when I visit, so you get the salespeople who are overjoyed at having a person in the store. I try to go only when I have coupons or there are sales, as otherwise, the prices are a little too steep for me. read more
