Time for a GROOOOOOOOM
Jemily H.

Oh.my.goodness! Dog moms and dads- WHAT ARE U WAITING FOR? Trust me, I only want the best for my pup. He is my pride and joy! I 100% was completely and totally impressed with everything about this salon, cleanliness, service, knowledge base, customer service, treatment of the clients (doggo and human), etc. they even have assorted treats while you wait! When Finley needed a groom, I explored many MANY options and places. I really struggle with shelling out over $80 at a base price for my dogs breed. I noticed a grooming salon driving around Manassas the other day and figured I would try one last time! Boy am I glad I did! They have a drop off time frame of 8-10am, they typically are able to accommodate next day drop offs. Walking in someone greets you and they will also call to see if you are on the way or planning to make it in as scheduled. The lady up front was very kind and asked all the right questions. She helped me look up styles for the face (short round, long round) turns out there is a white a bit to grooming! We opted for the short round and a close shave. They included teeth brushing, anal gland cleaning, ear clean and pluck, and claw cut. I opted out of the plucking- seemed unnecessary. I dropped of my pup at 9:30 and went home for a few hours. I received a call at 2pm that he was ready! I was so impressed at how they absolutely took their time on my pup. He is a year and 2 months and it was his first real groom- so he was a tad nervous. I picked him up and he was looking sharp, cute, and happy! They gave me a report card on his status of skin, teeth etc and how he behaved. Cute touch! If you bring him 8 times with the punch card they provide, the 9x is FREE! if you bring your dog every 6 weeks you can get 25% off as a part of their VIP plan. THEY ARE RUNNING A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL NOW!!!! Never have I seen such a great comprehensive grooming salon offer this quality at such a low price. 110% recommend this salon and their awesome people.

Maeson
Alicia W.

We first discovered this place almost 2yrs ago we used to bring our beloved Topaz until he crossed over the rainbow bridge in April 2022. So naturally When we got our new puppy Maeson in August 2022 we knew we would take Maeson to be groomed there.

In the car in front of the grooming salon directly after leaving

If you want a dog groomer that lacks honesty and customer service this is the place to go! My mother left a review and the owner is choosing to lie and not take responsibility for the fact that they hurt my dog, as well as gave my dog a haircut any good groomer would know NOT to give a Pomeranian. When I got to the grooming salon I asked for the same trim my dog had received the first time I took her there in May/ June. The groomer informed me they could not look up the previous specifications of the groom because the owner was not in, so they did not have access to their computer system. I informed the groomer I wanted a normal Pomeranian cut. I never referred to wanting my dog "Feeling like velvet" as the owner is claiming. I specifically stated I wanted the "Fluffy Pomeranian look". After returning to the salon they had me pay and tip BEFORE returning my dog back to me. It was not until after I had paid and tipped that the groomer informed me my dog had been injured during the groom. The groomer stated that the clippers ripped out a chunk of hair and some skin. She then told me they applied liquid bandage to the wound to get the bleeding to stop. This is information the groomer told me, that the owner is now claiming was self inflicted on my dogs part. Why was my dog not be bathed and brushed before a trim? I was less than thrilled with the grooming and had I seen my dog and knew she was injured during the appointment I never would have tipped. The exact statement made when I saw her was "Oh wow." As I was in a state of shock to see what they had done to my beautiful dog. As soon as I got to my car I was sobbing. After leaving I had my mother immediately call the owner to discuss the injury and poor haircut given. The owner immediately started to lack accountability, so we just decided to share our experience on yelp. Instead of doing what any good business owner would do the owner chose to lie and try to discredit the review as you can see below. Below I have pictures of the injury as well as what I requested V.S. What what I got. Peter, the two are not even remotely similar, but I'm sure your future clients will be able to see that!

Lucky Dog practices cageless grooming which I thought was interesting and quite kind to pets. Setting appointments is easy - I either call or text for appointments and they respond almost right away. Highly recommended!

I usually groom my dogs myself, but I've been sick and unable to do it lately. I was hoping to find someone reliable to start handling their baths on a regular basis. I have back issues, which is why I stopped professionally grooming to begin with. The first thing they asked was if I'd been there before. I said no, I would be a new customer. Then they immediately asked what breed my dogs were. I told them the truth: they're purebred English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. The response? "Oh, you could've just said pit bulls -- it's okay." First of all, no -- they are not pit bulls. They are English Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Pitbulls and Staffordshire Bull Terriers are not the same breed. Right after that, I was told, "Well, we're not taking new clients anyway." Interesting. Because if that were true, wouldn't you have said that the moment I said I was a new customer? It's obvious what really happened -- you heard the breed and assumed they were pitbulls. This is classic breed discrimination. You judged my dogs without knowing anything about them. The truth is, they're two of the sweetest, most well-behaved, trained dogs you could ever meet. They've been getting groomed since they were tiny puppies and love being pampered. But because of your prejudice, you turned away two perfect clients. Call it what it is: dog racism and ignorance. If you're going to work in this field, at least educate yourself on breeds.

Danielle is friendly and reliable and most of all - she does a great job. We always go with a short cut on our Maltese for ease of maintenance and Danielle's cuts are very consistent. Our dog always looks the same, which is a big positive in my book. Other groomers have delivered inconsistent looks when we simply wanted the same haircut. The convenience of the mobile service is hard to beat too. It's a little more expensive than service at a brick and mortar building, but it's worth it in my opinion. You won't regret going with this business for your furry friend's grooming needs. Highly recommended. ***In the post-grooming photo of my pup, he'd had a recent vet procedure that resulted in a stitch in his forehead and a partially shaved right leg. Most groomers do multiple dogs at once--and your dog sits in a cage in the meantime. Not great. Maria is working with just one dog --yours--from start to finish--so it's way less stress for your baby. I should also mention that Maria is the best, kindest, most competent dog groomer in the DMV. Full stop. If you have a small dog, don't even *think* about going anywhere else! Not only will your furbaby be gorgeously groomed, you will have the peace of mind of knowing he is being cared for by 1) someone who genuinely loves dogs, and 2) is also incredibly talented and experienced. I don't trust my little guy with anyone but Maria.

Since I work from home, if I can't entertain her enough she tends to get a little bit restless and then neither of us are very productive. She needs a lot of attention and exercise, so being able to drop her some days is a godsend. She comes home tired and happy. The staff here are super friendly and really seem to enjoy what they do. If my crazy pooch rolls around in special sauce (code for just about any excrement a dog can possibly accidentally roll into), they give her a quick bath so she comes home clean. Even if they're concerned about her, i.e. that small kennel cough epidemic that swept the area, they call to tell me if something is wrong. I love that they celebrate holidays and dress my pup up and send home pics and report cards. It feels like I'm getting a lot of bang for the buck, and I know she's in good hands because I can spy on the webcam! Also another awesome perk. She really loves coming here. I say "daycare" and she is by the door ready to go. I appreciate the enthusiasm they share for their pup clients and that they provide excellent service for their human clients too. It's definitely worth even the occasional splurge to have your pup be entertained, tired, and some sane human time. Let's be honest - we love our pups like we love our kids, but everyone needs a break! 2/1/19: I had to come update this because it demonstrates their high quality service. I live very close to the daycare, and yesterday when temperatures were just not safe for people or dogs to be out in, I planned to take my dog and spare us both. But the cold weather killed my car battery so we were stuck at home. The owner actually came and scooped her up for me. Now THAT is too notch and I was so very grateful, and it shows just how well they treat their human patrons too. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I immediately asked the staff what had happened, but no one could give me a clear explanation. After I requested that they review the security camera footage, I was eventually told that the dogs had been "playing rough." What concerned me the most was that while I was speaking with the front desk, I could clearly see one of the daycare rooms where dogs were playing roughly without any staff member actively supervising them. That raised serious concerns about the level of supervision being provided. The following day, Luna's wound looked worse, so I took her to the veterinarian. She was diagnosed with a bite wound and required an examination, skin cytology, wound treatment, antibiotics, and medication. The veterinary bill came to $299.53, all because she was injured while in Dogtopia's care. As a customer, I pay for professional daycare because I expect my dog to be safe, closely supervised, and well cared for. Luna is a rescue dog, and trusting a facility with her care is a big decision. Instead, she came home injured on her very first visit. While I appreciate that Dogtopia refunded the daycare fee, I also believe they should take responsibility for the veterinary expenses resulting from an injury that occurred while she was under their supervision. This experience completely destroyed my trust in this facility. I will never bring Luna back, and I cannot recommend Dogtopia Manassas to anyone looking for a safe daycare for their dog. I sincerely hope they improve their supervision practices and take greater accountability so that no other dog or owner has to experience what we did.

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.
