At my son's request, we ate at Yard House a week ago. "You will really like it" he says - and boy was he right! It was not a Red's game night which helped us get seated quickly since it is near the Great American Ball Park. Before we got there, I had opted to eat indoors as I was feeling a headache coming on and thought being in the sun would put me over the edge. However, it was a pleasant surprise to see that the patio was covered and had Big Ass Fans (yes, that really is a brand) running to keep everyone pleasantly cool. Maybe next time we will try outside. Our waitress, Jess, was friendly, informative and ready with suggestions when prompted. Two people in our group got beer samplers, my son got a half yard of Pineapple Cider (which I loved) and I got a refreshing Pineapple Express (Skyy infusion pineapple vodka, malibu pineapple rum, monin mojito garnished with fresh pineapple and mint). Before our entrees arrived, we got calamari and an order of brussel sprouts & potatoes with aioli. It was surprising how tasty the sprouts were because I don't normally care for them, but the way they were prepared made them oh so good! For my entree, I ordered a yummy Surf & Turf - burger topped with maine lobster sauteed in garlic butter, grilled asparagus, swiss cheese and bernaise sauce with a side of garlic fries. Oh, those garlic fries - what delectable morsels! Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered, too - Chicken Rice Bowl, BBQ Bacon Burger and Blackened Tuna Burger. As a nice surprise, Jess brought over a dessert on a dish with the word birthday stenciled in cocoa! When she checked my daughter's ID, she noticed that her birthday was just a few days away! I've been to a lot of Yard Houses and this has been the first one I wasn't wowed by. Came here after the second rain delay of a Reds game to beat the rush. Service started good but then it kind of went down hill. I sat at the bar and ordered a seltzer, beer and food but because I didn't have a full bosom, blonde hair and a low cut top, it took me forever to get my beer. The guy was more interested in ogling the curvaceous patrons than making money. Just a note, you can actually make more by exchanging beer for money than you can by leering at women with your tongue hanging out. For food, I had my usual boneless wings and cheese curds. The wings were good, as usual. The curds were a real disappointment. They came all congealed in one big clump rather than as individual curds so I kind of had to cut them to eat them or else the cheese would stretch for miles. Since they were one big clump, they tasted only partially cooked. I just don't get why some people who work at bars don't want to make money. It doesn't take that much effort to pour a beer AND act like a misogynist pig. My beer was good and the wings were good but they need a better class of bartender. read more

If it was not for Gail would have been really disappointed in this experience. A filet mignon should not be hard on the outside and bland, or tasteless. Even though the color was good, it had gristle inside. The asparagus was old and withered. How long did it sit in the fridge? My wine glass had fingerprints inside the glass, and was spotted with all kinds of detergent marks. My salad contained rotten/old tomatoes. I'm not sure what they consider medium class or high-end food service. But this place absolutely failed. Except for Gail she was nice and courteous and felt genuinely upset about my meal coming out, ill prepared. I wish there was more people like her. I would seriously recommend going to a better place than this hell hole. read more

I would have given this place a 5 if I was more pleased with my main dish. But overall, it's a very nice restaurant. There's plenty of seating and you get a chance to see some of downtown Cincinnati which I loved looking at. It was very clean and the menu had an great selection of options to choose from. I had the truffle fries which were very flavorful. They could have been crispier but still pretty good! I was displeased with the vegan burger. The patty was lacking in flavor and just unappetizing. I've tried other vegan & vegetarian burgers before but this tasted more like soggy bread. The onion rings made up for the burger slightly since they were super crispy which I loved. I would go here again to try something else on the menu to see how they perform with other vegan/vegetarian entrees. Overall, a nice place and I'm sure the meat options were good. read more

So my original review is still relatively accurate for the Friday night I went in on originally, but revisiting recently on a Sunday was a much more pleasant experience. Coming in to watch the Cavs game, they had every tv in the house turned to it, put the game on the speakers, and the sparsely packed bar area was able to watch it enjoyably, with attentive wait service. We ordered the appetizer nachos with ground beef instead of chicken, and they came out pretty quick, baked with a hot tray. Crunchy nachos, baked on cheese, plenty of beans, and a TON of tomatoes, guac, and sour cream. Plenty of food, enough to make a meal for two people. The beer options were still extensive, and expensive, but the wait staff gets some kudos for coming around and checking on us, but never pestering or making us feel uncomfortable taking our time watching the game and slowly finishing the plate. Between the two experiences this place is a solid 3.5 that I'm rounding up to 4 because I feel like I'm ridiculously cheap and don't want to ding them too much for my brokeassedness. read more

I am eating here for the first time, here in business. I started my meal with a cup of the Spicy Corn Chowder soup, which was full of flavor, and a nice mild spiced flavor. My entree was the Chopped Salad with Chicken. This was a huge salad and I think it was an entire head of lettuce on my plate, but it was crisp and flavorful as well. I truly enjoyed my lunch and would eat here on a regular bases if I lived here. I recommend this restaurant as a "must try". read more

You're definitely paying for the view and location in comparison to other Yard House locations, I've been too. Before the ball game my friends and I decided to stop to grab dinner and a couple of drinks. We started with the chicken nachos, which were pretty good, these are BIG so enough for 3 of us to share. I had the Abuelas Chicken with the spicy rice and corn, yum yum!!!! It's a pretty big plate, enough for leftovers for sure. I also had a Hawaiian and a Mayan Mule both were soooo good. We went there before a big college basketball game being played right down the street. We checked in online ahead of time then checked in when we arrived. We were told people were sitting longer than usual and they couldn't guarantee we would be seated before the game started. Understandable. The girl told us there were about 15-20 parties ahead of us. We decided to chance it and wait. We waited about 35-40 minutes and my son checked back in and the man told him there were approximately 35 parties ahead of us. I said that's a pretty big discrepancy from what were originally told after waiting 40 minutes. He just threw his hands up and said in all transparency, all they could do was estimate bc it's "too hard to count every name on the list." In my opinion an efficient wait list IS NUMBERED so you CAN give customers an accurate answer as to where they are. Or at least have some way to group the waitlist in 10's by using boxes or colors. Then at least they can accurately say you're in the first group of 10, or there's almost 20 ahead of you. I get being busy, no problem with that. But if she had told us the truth from the beginning we would have had time to find another option instead of wasting our time. read more

Walked in today during the game and they have half the restaurant closed. The other half- maybe 8 tables. We asked for a booth and we're put on a waiting list... only other customers there. We understand staffing issues since covid but this was just negligence... there were at least 10 booths open on the side that was open. We asked again and the GM said he would have to see if they had a booth clean.. really? We ended up leaving. I went to lunch here with a coworker and had an average experience overall. We were seated right away on the patio that has both a roof with fans and an open view of the Paul Brown Stadium and river. The atmosphere is best described as chill upscale. Our server was friendly and took our orders quickly at first, and then after that, he seemed MIA. I had to call over a trainee to get him for the bill after waiting fifteen minutes for him just to walk by. The staff did apologize for the wait. We didn't wait long for the meal. I ordered the kale salad, and although it came with every super food imaginable, I was still fairly hungry afterwards. I have a salad for most of my lunches, and that usually is enough for me, but this was very disappointing - especially for $15. My coworker had a bacon cheeseburger and fries - pretty basic and he commented that it was average, but his was also $15. This place has a great location by the river and near the stadiums, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere, but it's definitely overpriced for the food they serve. They did have quite a lot of vegetarian options and a large selection for any appetite, so this may be a good place to visit if you're with a group with varying tastes and are about to go to an event downtown. read more

We went on a Friday night with no reservation and they were able to find us a table for 4 in 15 minutes or less! That's impressive enough for me! Our server was very attentive and wearing a mask, the tables were distant from each other but we still got the YH experience. We also ordered edamame and those are perfect for the table since they don't fill you up before your meal. I got the Noble Pursuit IPA from the Brewer Collab Series, would recommend! Nothing looks particularly interesting to me though. Vampire Taco (4/5): It's a taco with cheese crusted tortilla, which is grilled to crispy. Pretty good. Till the end I realized that there was a whole piece of grilled garlic in it. I guess nowadays life is really tough for vampires... Poke Nachos (3/5): Ordered because I wanted to try something fun, but not all fusion is good fusion. It's mainly nachos covered with ahi tuna, aioli and sweet soy sauce. This place is right on the banks, a prime location. If you sit outside it has beautiful scenery to look at. The inside is clean and has a good look. The wait staff is fast and attentive, always filling your water when it's getting low. The food, for the most part is really good. I went there today, however, and the pasta I ordered was severely under cooked. I told the waiter and she apologized and took it to get remade and it came back pretty quickly. We went to yard house for the first time and checked in and waited for about 30 minutes. When we were seated at our table we waited 10 minutes to be greeted and then another few minutes for drinks. We had ordered appetizers which had come out of the kitchen wrong and we were never checked on by our server. We never had plates for our appetizers and needed drink refills. Before we had even finished our appetizers the food came out of the kitchen. When we had finished eating we had to grab boxes from the bartender. Overall do not recommend. Although the building was completely empty, our party of 16 was told there would be a 90 minute wait. We should've offered to help move the wild tumble weed and three tables to expedite the process. We tried really hard to spend our money here. But it was proven not green enough. After passing the emotionless greeter, we were met at the bar a few moments later. Questions about the menu were frowned upon. A smile or eye contact was absolutely out of the question. Thankfully there are hundreds of other places to grab a drink downtown. I've been here before but never reviewed. We ordered a lot more apps this time and I have to say most were excellent. The standouts were the onion ring tower, nice batter, cooked perfectly and the wings. We ordered two types of wings...traditional buffalo and Korean BBQ. Yummy. The seafood artichoke dip was delicious too. I thought the Korean short ribs were good, just a tad salty. Nachos were your standard nacho fare. Sliders were also tasty. Overall, this is a great place to meet up with friends. Huge space, nice outside deck, huge beer selection and above all, good food. Our service was excellent too. Malcom and Ryan. What a great place. Servers were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and what a huge selection if super beers. It does get a little noisy but we were still able to hold a conversation. While the food here wasn't as awesome as I remember it being at the Yard Houses I went to in Vegas, the service here was fantastic! My husband called ahead to reserve a table for 6 people at 5p on a Friday. When we arrived we were seated immediately at a table on their enclosed patio. Even though it was beginning to get cold outside, this patio was the perfect temperature. We enjoyed the happy hour menu and got quite a few things for the table to share which was perfect. Here's what we had.... Chicken Nachos - Pretty good. Huge chunks of chicken, but I could've used even more cheese. Vampire Taco - minute on one randomly hot bite I had, this was great! I loved the tender meat and I loved the flavor from the cheese taco shell. Egg Rolls - these weren't as good as I remembered. They're absolutely packed with meat, but that just weren't that flavorful. Thank goodness for the dipping sauce. Cheese Curds - Awesome! You can't go wrong with these!! Especially with the honey hot sauce. Our waitress also offered ranch which was a solid choice! Cobbler A La Mode - Super Delicious! Definitely my favorite! Banana Creme Brûlée - Meh. Yardhouse appeared in some search results as we tried to find a place with a good beer selection during my brothers' last visit to Cincinnati. I had checked out their menu online before and was astounded at how many vegetarian items they had to offer. I don't know why it took me so long to visit! Everything was super tasty - we started with an order of Truffle Fries, my husband had Buffalo Boneless Wings and I had Hongos y Rajas Street Tacos. My brother had a BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger that he mostly enjoyed - except for the piece that was a little more rare than medium. Everyone enjoyed our visit, and I think we would all be happy to dine here again. We ended the meal with Salted Caramel Butterscotch Pudding, which I was practically raving about. read more
