    Smoked Salmon & Rye Toast

Came for a late afternoon brunch. That by itself is 5 stars because brunch any time of day is my love language. So I'm biased. But the food is GOOD and so is service! The staff isn't snooty and the ambiance can be casual family or date and everything in between. This was my second time eating here and this time was better than the first time. Mostly due to service being consistently better

Service was quick and friendly You can never go wrong with the deviled eggs- always fresh and flavorfully balanced- The fries with mornay are a bit steep, but this batch was worth the 7 bucks I got the Mahi Reuben and the kitchen didn't drain the sauerkraut well the whole underside of my bread was a soggy mess- but it was still pretty delicious. They are spot on with the food temps- everything comes straight out fresh and hot- and I appreciate that

Went here as it was featured on DDD which means Guy Fieri ate here. We watched the show right before going and it was nice to see the staff from the show right at the door. We got the food featured on the show, the Dirty French burger and the Chili Crunch Chicken Nuggets. We also split fries which were ok. Service was average. Parking is costly unless you can score on the street parking. Has indoor and outdoor seating. The chicken nuggets were to die for! Honestly the best I've ever had, so crunchy and delicious!

Delicious Cincy breakfast, especially for out-of-towners looking for something interesting. This place has got some more items specific to this area, so it's not your regular pancakes and hash browns. We are talking oatmeal sausages, deviled eggs, neckbone gravy. As the mister is a connoisseur of deviled eggs (har har), we of course picked that. I also love any kind of western breakfast plates, so I opted for the goetta breakfast, which I haven't found in any other places in the world yet but Cincy :O We also got some pancakes to round it out. The deviled egg is almost... too scrumptious for breakfast with the pork rinds! However, it is a littttttle less flavourful than we thought it'd be even with all the ingredients like mustard seeds in it. Pretty solid over all. The goetta breakfast is a must try because it's so interesting -- but it definitely brings back to mind when folks had to be more resourceful. The whole plate was delicious though! OTR is filled with delicious restaurants and bars already... add this to your list for a nice Sunday brunch!

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect coming here but was totally blown away by the food! Came here on a Saturday night with some friends. It's a pretty big spot with lots of seating. Big fan of whatever playlist they had playing too. We started with some apps of the pork rinds and steak tartare. The tartare was decent but the pork rinds were delicious! A nice generous serving of them as well. For entrees we got the Chili Crunch Chicken, Fried Mortadella, and the Schnitzel. All of them were great but the Chili Crunch chicken really stood out. They're basically like fried chili chicken nuggets in a rice bowl. The rest of the menu looked great as well, we will definitely be back to try the rest!

Meat focused much? Outstanding meal! Service was great, food was great. Got seated in back room for a table of two -- a little cramped against a water pipe and the window -- a little too warm also -- but the service and food made up for it. Pork rinds and shishitos? A weird combo, but it works! My husband said the steak tartare was divine (not my thing). The chicken tenders were to die for! All the fried items were greaseless -- the crew in the kitchen knows how to nail it!

    Diner Breakfast with Hashbrowns

Cute ambiance and liked the vibe. Made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday which was a good move because it definitely got busy! I ordered the Diner Breakfast but subbed the pork belly for the Hashbrowns. The lemon ricotta pancakes were delicious - not too sweet. The scrambled eggs were a bit runny for my liking. The hashbrowns were really good! I wasn't sure what to expect, but they were tasty and the kimchi ketchup had a good flavor that paired well with it. I even put the kimchi ketchup on my eggs. Things that didn't go so well - the food took a long time to arrive. Our waiter sort of disappeared for a while too and my friend wanted another drink. We ended up having the person who brought our food out put in another mimosa for her. Unfortunately the second one had a different juice than what she wanted (the one she got for her first drink), so that was a miss.

Our group of 4 had a reservation, we waited a couple minutes of waiting before we were sat. Once seated we had to go find a server after 3 different restaurant staff walked past us. It was fairly busy for a Saturday brunch but we were still able to have conversations amongst our table. The general atmosphere was calm. The hash-browns and chai latte were the 5 star experience. Generally would not recommend. Spent a total $34 on 4 slices of pork belly, hashbrowns and a chai latte + 20% tip.

Went to brunch with my daughter for birthday and we enjoyed it immensely She ordered chai latte and I had Carmel macchiato They made me a decaf which I was very happy For food my daughter got the lemon ricotta pancakes Her words were light and fluffy I ordered the goetta hash browns and eggs Also rye toast with homemade blueberry jam Wow mind blowing Their hash browns look like little pillows of deliciousness Yummy and so many choices to pick

Loved having brunch in a shaded space with a nice breeze. My hubs and I split The Diner, it was plenty. I tried their Bloody Mary which was very refreshing for a warm day. I like that they have a carafe of water they leave for you. Bathrooms and space are clean, food was delish. The lemon ricotta pancakes were exactly the right balance of flavors. Service was good! We are visiting, would definitely recommend. Lots to walk around and see nearby too.

Amazing food! Had the Diner breakfast which was pork belly, soft scrambled eggs, and lemon ricotta pancakes. truly a spread and lots of food. Ambiance was great, we had a party of 7 and were well taken care of. they put us in a booth big enough for 8! Highly recommend for brunch with friends.

Their spicy bloody Mary is awesome! Love the reel to reel!

Love the reel to reel and the bloody Mary! My wife got a latte. Very nice. My bloody Mary was spicy and I have found it difficult to find a good spicy bloody Mary. Also very nice ambience

I joined my mother here for a recent brunch and both of us were... Satisfied I suppose. The combination of dishes we ended up with were fine, but nothing on its own really stood out as amazing other than the matzo ball chicken soup. The belly buster breakfast had one of the worst pieces of belly I've ever had, nothing but chewy fat. Pancakes were good, not great. Fried chicken and pickled vegetables was odd, with cold and exceptionally bitter vegetables next to extra crunchy fried chicken. Good latte, fast service, but I won't be hustling back. Unless I need some chicken soup

I was greeted at the door with a small menu to precede the course themes and a glass of delicious sparkling wine. The restaurant was very warm, welcoming, and artistic. The mushrooms on the wall were stunning, and the themed pictures throughout gave it a down to earth feel. Everyone was so kind and the service was impeccable. I started the meal with a hot towel to clean my hands - it was this moment I knew I came for a treat. Each course was brought out in a timely manner, and explained thoroughly. The food was beautiful, complex, flavorful, and hearty. Each dish was crafted so meticulously. I could taste the passion for their craft with each bite. The drinks were also made perfectly. Overall, this was right in line with many Michelin starred restaurants I have dined in. I can't wait to come back and try the dining room menu. I hope that our city can support this restaurant and they will stay for a while. I'd love to come back for the chef's experience again when they seasonally change their menu. Thanks for a memorable meal, Wildweed.

The bar scene itself was very boring, honestly one of the least interesting bar dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was mediocre and not memorable. The only dish I clearly remember, and probably the only one I would order again, was the watermelon salad. Everything else was fine at best, but nothing stood out or made me want to come back. I'm honestly surprised this restaurant is getting James Beard recognition. There are so many better places in the area, such as Colette, Baker's Table, and most notably Grist in Dayton, that feel far more deserving and seem to be overlooked. It makes me wonder if Wildweed has some kind of connection or ownership that helps it get more attention, because based on this visit, I don't see it.

Once we were all in our places with bright shiny faces, we all ordered the thanksgiving special meal. It included just about everything you can imagine being served at Thanksgiving. Three pieces of white meat turkey, which was pretty tender. I small pile of dark meat pieces. Mashed potatoes and gravy, with the gravy covering the turkey and the potatoes. There was dressing, sweet potato casserole (?), green beans and cranberry sauce. It was a LOT of tasty food. Nothing was extraordinary, but it was all good. Oh, we ordered and I swear to goodness the food arrived moments later. I am sure they were moving a lot of these plates and had a process for quick turnaround, but I had to wonder if our plates had been sitting for a while. I suppose if they were it wasn't for long. Nothing was cold or congealed. It seems like their process was working. The meal came with a mini cake type thing in a jar. There were lots of options. Mark and I opted for the special pumpkin with ginger and Jen had s'mores chocolate. The pumpkin one was absolutely delicious. Jen let us try the chocolate one and let's just say I was very glad I opted for pumpkin. When the bill arrived the desserts were added on separately. I mentioned they should be included to our server, who said he would check. Now... it seems unlikely we were his first customers of the day and it seems odd that he would have the desserts added separately. He did check; I saw him. I also saw the person he was checking with shake her head 'yes'. He reran the checks without the desserts. I will say it was nice to have a traditional thanksgiving meal without the traditional thanksgiving fuss. Because the food was average at best and because we were initially charged for desserts that were supposed to be included in the price, this experience comes in with a solid three stars.

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.
