We usually order through Door Dash. Have tried the lamb, chicken, and falafel. Add in the rice, salad, and white sauce and its converted into pure comfort food. Portions are big. Sadly I don't see this place staying in business much longer. Prices rose again, which is the second time in the past year or so. Understand that prices are rising everywhere, so this isn't unexpected, but makes the $18.25 price tag expensive for a meal served out of a food truck in a styrofoam container with plastic utensils. Lamb plate, extra lamb was $12 in 2021, rose to $14, and now costs $18.25. I think a lot of patrons used to come here for the good combination of quality/taste/value, but with price increases, I don't see the value proposition as compelling. Hopefully they are able to make it, but I do see myself less inclined to frequent given the updated pricing. read more

Outrageously good food. That is, it's outrageously good if you get it with the outrageously hot hot sauce. I had my hot sauce on the side on my first visit, and it was so hot that all I could stand was a tiny drop on my fork before each bite. This time I ordered hot sauce on the side, but when I got to my destination I found that there was no outrageously good hot sauce on the side. Well it turns out that the food is only "good" without the outrageously good hot sauce, not worth the price or the trip imo. I will say the portions are generous, and that I had the shrimp and falafel plate. I give five stars in the hope that this inattention to detail was an uncharacteristic slip. I'll return, but if they forget my hot sauce again they are dead to me. read more

I google searched "takeout near me" and this was the closest restaurant and my god, Google has never been a better resource. My boyfriend and I shared a Mega Plate (combo of lamb, chicken, shrimp, and falafel plus rice and salad) and a side of falafel (12 pieces and a huge side of sauce). The food was SO flavorful, delightfully spicy (we asked for it to be spicy), and the proteins were all great quality - no fatty/rubbery pieces. Plus, we are big eaters and had leftovers. Discovered this food truck few years back and have eaten here very frequently since then. We have brought our friends and family here as well and everyone has loved their food. I even had food catered from here for my husbands surprise birthday party. The food is always tasty, reasonably priced and the portions are good. The service is always great. Our regulars are Falafel gyro, sometimes I get falafel and lamb combo and my husbands all time favorite is Lamb gyro. Their fries are pretty decent, just ask them to cook them well done, so they come out crispy. Their falafel is very good but can sometimes have an over powering taste of coriander seeds, which usually I love but sometimes it can just be too much. They do have chairs and table to sit out and eat, but when it's cold we just get to go or eat in our car. All is all, good value for money. It is a food truck, but is always parked at this same spot in a small parking lot right opposite to the University. With only a handful of spaces, it can get a little crowded on Friday and Saturday but there's usually a place to park. PS: the only thing I wish is that they would offer smaller sides of falafel. They only do a minimum of 10 pieces, which is a lot if you just want a piece or 2 on the side. So some flexibility on the menu would be great! read more

Very inexpensive Middle Eastern food. Don't be scared of the food truck, food seemed to be prepped in a cleanliness environment. Wish the meat wasn't in shredded form but the amount you get is pretty insane and can last you a few meals. A definite bang for your buck but food is quite average and worth a try as long as your expectations are not too high. I made the mistake of getting extra sauce and extra spicy and regretted it. Damn did they not skimp on that "Extra" sauce, and covered the entire place with that white sauce. I only wished that they didn't scoop the sauce and rice onto the salad compartment. This made my salad mushy. I will come back if I'm in the area, I will try it as normal sauce instead of extra as I'm sure it will be plentiful. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed the Egyptian Grill yet! Have been going here for years and it's soooo good and affordable. We typically get the lamb and rice plate and it's big enough to split or to have plenty of leftovers. The mix of the creamy sauce and spicy sauce is awesome (if you can't handle spice I would skip the spicy sauce!). The gyros are also delicious. They have a few tables outside but if it's a nice day, I would recommend grabbing your food to go and go down the street to the boulevard for a little waterfront dining. read more

Absolutely delicious! The truck parts by the UMass campus, mere blocks from my friend's house and was one of the first places she took me to when I moved in. I had the lamb and chicken over rice (I think my friend got just the chicken) and it was so good! I'm only sorry I'm a wimp and had to order mine not spicy. (Luckily her fiance orders his spicy enough for the three of us combined!) It's a food truck so you have to wait a few minutes (possibly more if it's busy; it wasn't when we went, but just in case) and then while they have one table set up, it's more for people waiting than it is for eating, which for us was fine because we just walked the couple blocks home. But if you're taking it any further than that, you may want to find a place to pull over and eat it because it all smells so good!
