I've always been to this shooting range, but honestly, I'm tired of all the workers' attitudes…read more They charged $50 me for "hitting a hanger," but when I asked them, "Wouldn't it have a bullet hole if I hit it?" they stayed silent. The hanger is in perfect condition and not damaged and they will continue to use it. Plus if I did actually hit it then yes I would understand. However, Nelson the worker was extremely rude when he told me and just kept yelling at everyone who was shooting. Every time I go, the men there always look at me like I'm dumb and have never held a firearm before. I'm a competition shooter, by the way. I've been shooting for years.. About a year ago, one of the tall white dudes made a comment about a top I was wearing and laughed as he kept looking down. This used to be a good range when more females worked there; it was more family-oriented, which I loved. However, I'm never coming back here again because of the way they've treated me each time.

No frills at this place what you see is what you get and I really appreciate that. It's never too crowded which I really appreciate from a safety standpoint when compared to other highly trafficked ranges, I never need to look over my shoulder. Wait. And wait some more. Then you get a phone call months later and come and simply pick up your tax stamp and item. Inside it's rather small with two separate shooting bays that may have 5 stalls each. In the bay that the match was held in, I noticed many bullet holes in the ceiling showing the outside sky. I would give 3 stars normally for a place like this because it serves its basic purpose. Instead, I give 2 stars because both shooting bays lack any kind of air filtration. That's dangerous. During my 90 minutes shooting there the air was foul with gunpowder smoke and full of lead and other toxic chemicals. It was rough staying there. This is 2022 not 1962 and every indoor range must provide air filtration.

I had the BEST local gun store experience EVER in my life at Class 3 Weapons. John was walking by on a "paperwork mission" as he put it. His store is neat and clean and full of tempting ways to empty your checking and savings account. He immediately stopped what he was doing to help me look at rifles. Most stores I have visited in the past have ignored me until I practically had to tackle someone to get any service. Not John. John patiently and expertly shared his knowledge of AR 15s with me. He showed me his stock and listened as I explained what I thought I wanted. He steered me to the wall where the two best choices for me were hanging. He went over details of both and corrected some misconceptions I had picked up on the Internet (Gee, you mean the Internet isn't always right?). When he finished his explanation, I clearly understood my choices. John had a special going (big shipment had just arrived) and the price he charged was $500 less than the price I had seen on Internet online gun sale sites. The mfger also was offering a $45 coupon rebate. Other customers approached him and he asked them to wait but since they wanted simple, quick services, I told John to go ahead and wait on them. He came back to me each time. I never had to chase him down. He spent as much time as I wanted and needed to be confident in my purchase and never once flashed impatience at me. Their store is conveniently located on a major street on the north side of Houston in an industrial area. His shop is new and neat and clean and orderly. No rat's nest of parts. John told me he was not the best place to purchase all the AR 15 accessories as he primarily sells rifles and pistols. He suggested several area stores where I could find what I needed. I am hard to impress. I was impressed after my first visit to Class 3 Weapons. I went intending to continue my AR 15 research and education and came home the proud owner of a new rifle.
