The loops are not wide streets and it was a little tight to get out of our spot with a 28' and extended cab truck. If there were another camper parked across from us we wouldn't have been able to get out. Laundry on site and the store had tons of snacks. Past the old basketball court (across from section D) is a wandering nature trail/Maze. Staff that we interacted with were friendly and quick. Really quiet and peaceful place to stay for 2 weeks. Walmart is within 20 minutes if you need anything. Check out the Circle R farm store right down the street, too!

If I could summarize the experience at Holley Falls in one word, this would be it: carpooling. Yes, there are a few spots at the base of the waterfall, but they fill up fast. If you're going with others, make sure you share a ride because if you don't, you'll be using valuable hiking time trying to find somewhere to park. I can't even imagine how crowded it can get if someone's having a party or any kind of event. Since you're next to the canal, and the waterfall is basically runoff, get ready for muddy trails. I didn't get stuck or too muddy, but I can imagine it being worse after a rainy day. It's not the worst uphill hike I've ever been on, but it's a good workout nonetheless. You can get pretty close to the falls from some spots on the trail. If you're like me and afraid of getting too close, you still get a good view from further back. There's spots for fishing, plenty of spots for just sitting around, and an overall sense that the park is well maintained. I'll happily return to Holley for a visit to the falls again. It's easy to get to from Rochester and the fresh air is worth the drive. Just make sure you share a ride if you can, you don't want your amazing day eaten up by looking for a parking spot!

There is a nice, clean restroom building as well as pavilions for rental and a pond for fishing. Semi-recently a disc golf course was added, which I'm not a fan of because they cut down a decent amount of the front part of woods and it takes away from the experience in nature. But, I suppose it's a good way to bring more people to the park. The hiking trails can be a bit rooty, rocky and muddy in parts, so best to pay attention to your footing. I don't mind it because it makes the hike more challenging. There are up and down hills as well as a suspension bridge. The trails are marked with different colors. I also like that it's not easy to get lost here since I have a pretty bad sense of direction. Also, I've seen birds, deer, chipmunks, squirrels and snakes here. Whether you want to have a picnic by the pond, get a good hike in or both, Royalton Ravine is a nice setting for it!

The only thing I negative I can say about this place, and it isn't even their fault so I won't deduct any stars, is that there's a dairy farm right across the street from the entrance out on the main road so if the wind blows just right you get that awful ammonia and poop smell throughout the campground.

Sadly we didn't check out the light house, as it was closed. The playground replica of the Point Light House was fun to go on, yes, as an adult, Ill admit we both enjoyed letting out our inner child. The nature trails may have been a bit muddy from recent rain, but easy to manage, recommend if you check park out after rain, wear hiking boots, or sneakers you don't mind getting dirty. Perfect for anyone whose a nature lover.

We even managed to find a place to park (our car and the truck with the trailer) without more than 5 minutes of waiting at noon on the 4th of July. There are public restrooms just off the parking lot. There's the historic lighthouse, rebuilt in the last 10 years (can't remember exactly), and a well-maintained concrete wall that allows for good fishing. They had volunteers checking boats for invasive species as well.

That is more than double of what we paid anywhere else (the lowest was $17.50 for all of us). The justification we were given for this price was that only two people could stay per camp site. Really? Two people per camp site? Ridiculous. The place is heavily Christian themed, including signs posted throughout the grounds. The mosquitoes were abundant, hungry, and fearless. Good things about the site: The people are nice (they smile at you while jacking you for all your money), the bathrooms have hot water (and mosquitoes), and there is a small convenience store with toothbrushes and the like. They take credit cards as well.

The historic Whirlpool Aero Car is an antique cable car that is a Niagara Parks attraction. It offers a ride over the waters of the Niagara River where you can see spectacular views of the swirling Niagara Whirlpool and the river's Class 6 rapids as you soar 3,500 feet across the Niagara Gorge. It travels between two points on the Canadian shore, but will actually take you across the international border between Canada and the United States a total of four times. Overall, if you're looking for a good nature outing, this(and the other sites they manage are great. Swallow Hollow is my favorite trail, but the whole area is awesome.
