She planned our rehearsal dinner/cocktail party and I really had no idea what I wanted, but it turned out to be a stunning, classy event with amazing food and drinks. People still haven't stopped raving about it. Not only that, but when my wedding caterer bailed (and she wasn't even planning that event), I knew I could email her and she would have someone else on hand that we could use. Sure enough, we were able to track down an available caterer through her contacts, and the food at the wedding was flawless. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lisa to anyone. I can't wait to see what she does next!

When we reached out to the One Hundred Club and spoke with the Director of Events, Lisa Sammons, she turned what was a difficult decision into one of the easiest. We were immediately impressed by her professionalism and warm demeanor and decided to have our reception at the club. After the location was finalized, Lisa unexpectedly volunteered to assist in finding area vendors. When planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to have a local theme. The search for florists and bakeries went from an impersonal Google search to specific recommendations from Lisa, none of which we would have been able to find on our. Her network and knowledge of vendors in the area allowed us to secure vendors providing exactly what we wanted at the price we wanted. The stress of searching for the right chairs, tablecloths, place cards and champagne was gone after we started working with Lisa. She continuously went above and beyond her duties to ensure our wedding reception went off without a hitch. We're convinced she even scheduled the perfect sunset after the summer storm. We would highly recommend Lisa to friends and family for all their event planning needs.

Great Circle did not disappoint and treated us to simply amazing food and hospitality. The staff was extremely professional and almost invisible(in a good way) during the reception on September 1st at the Portsmouth Elks Club. We enjoyed a buffet with Braised Beef Short Ribs, Chicken Bellagio, Rice Pilaf, Seasonal Vegetables. For appetizers we enjoyed charcuterie platters.

All of our friends and family from all over the country couldn't stop raving about the food, and their new Tap Truck was a hit serving as both a source of ice cold draft beer and a conversation piece. As expected, the raw bar was top notch, and the tenderloin popovers, cheddar bites, bacon wrapped scallops, and deviled eggs were so tasty I barely had room left for the main course because I couldn't stop taking more! Our entree selections were similarly satisfying with a delicious chicken dish, glazed rainbow baby carrots, and their clam chowder being notable standouts. The sirloin carving station was a real hit, particularly with their fig and wilted arugula accomplishments, and Chef Ned's bright and engaging personality made this event really stand out with a friendly greeting and engaging conversation for all, both young and old. The whole team was exceedingly friendly and engaged, not cool and aloof like some service staff can be. I'd particularly like to give a shout-out to Jen who not only guided us through all of the planning steps leading up to the big day, but also was kind enough to go to the store after her set up was done and pick up more ice for us for our self-furnished beverage station. Many caterers would have treated this as a "not my problem"situation since we weren't paying them to provide beverages, but she went above and beyond to help ensure our event was a success. I have zero reservations about calling Jen at Great Circle for help planning our next big event and neither should you!

Although everything went smoothly on the wedding day, communication issues leading up to the event made working with this vendor unnecessarily difficult and stressful. On the wedding day, their team arrived on time and handled the setup quite well. While we didn't communicate with them much in person on that day, everything looked gorgeous and was ready right when it needed to be. They also returned that evening to take everything down without any issues. However, we had major issues communicating with Seacoast Events. Right before we were going to sign our contract, we stopped hearing from them altogether. We emailed and called them numerous times for almost three weeks with no response. We even dialed their extension to speak with the manager on duty, and never got a response there either. After we had one of our other wedding vendors contact them on our behalf, they immediately sent a generic bounce back message explaining that an employee was on vacation and couldn't respond to emails easily. The message also said to call the same number and extension as we did before to speak with the manager on duty, which of course did not work. When we did finally get a real response, it just contained an excuse to not send the contract because a piece of information was missing in our last message to them from before the vacation. At no point did this employee even address the fact that they failed to explain that they were going to be on vacation for four weeks before letting us sign a contract. Although this all worked out in the end, it was a difficult process. We were fortunate to have them respond to us and sign a contract just in time for the wedding, but it could easily have not worked out that way. If you are going to work with this vendor, then we would at least recommend reaching out to them far in advance, especially if it is for an event as important as a wedding.

Gotta say, I loved Glen. He made my night…read more He was one of the two dealers manning the Craps table during our event. I was a Craps newbie. Never mind Craps, I am just not a gambler. During my last trip to Vegas, I was out there for 2 reasons: food, and shows. Oh, and checking out the decorations at the casinos for Chinese New Year. Before our Casino Night party, I had checked out the wikiHow link on How to Play Craps that was kindly and wisely provided by our event coordinators in advance, and was utterly flabbergasted. I just could not wrap my mind around the game! I figured that Craps would be my nemesis, so I would just watch some poker, pick a few colors on the roulette wheel, and otherwise busy myself with Blackjack if I could count up to 21 quickly enough in my head. Screams of excitement drew me towards the Craps table. And after watching a bit and seeing how the dealer was helping my end of the table learn the game, I decided to jump on in, and was instantly provided with the starter set of chips each player was granted for the night. With no actual skin in the game, but with a real prize on the line (in addition to just beating the boss), I played, attempting to listen to Glen as he taught us the game - when and how to bet. When one player asked him how he knew how to pay off our bids so quickly, he also started giving out lessons on how to deal, during which, he would take over the bidding of the student's pot. I was the lucky third (or was it fourth?) student. And he was bold in his bids, which I carried on, matching his highest bids when I was once again responsible for my own chips. It probably also helped that I had no idea what the value were of each of the colors! As another attendee phrased it: I'm not a gambler, so I wasn't sure I would have fun. But we all had a great time!
