Cute small little breakfast and bakery. They had a nice selection of donuts and more of a breakfast menu than I anticipated! I had the biscuits and gravy and it was so yummy

Delicious! Stopped here by chance before going to antique stores in town. You could immediately tell the eggs were farm fresh. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The breakfast ham was great but we saw others with bacon and I left wishing I had ordered some. We got a couple donuts for a snack later in the day. I recommend the chocolate Bavarian cream filled. Service was great. Hometown feel and everyone, customers and staff, were super friendly. If passing through again we will definitely eat there again. This place is a gem.

Donuts are great BUT NO CAFE. They closed it about two years ago. They only serve donuts and wonderful biscuits and gravy. All TO GO.

The donuts are ok but a little heavy and not a large variety. Nice addition to the choices in Knightstown.

The restaurant isn't well marked, but it's on the side of a Speedway gas station just off I-70. I saw good reviews on Yelp and had to check out the food for myself. The restaurant dining room is pretty dated, but clean. The staff is Midwest, small town friendly. We were seated quickly and immediately our drink orders were taken. Water was on the table quickly. Our server checked on us frequently. Service was great. I had a burger. The $8.90 burger comes on a huge fresh sesame bun with generous helpings of lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The burger itself was just ok. The burger also comes with a side and I had coleslaw. The slaw was some of the best slaw that I've had in a long time. I love a good coleslaw. My husband had the breaded pork tenderloin which is prepared in house. The breading was well seasoned and the pork tender. Again the lettuce and tomato toppings were generous. The pork tenderloin gets high marks. The restaurants gets a steady stream of local regulars and traveling truckers coming in for breakfast. The portions are generous and you're not going to leave hungry. Prices are really reasonable. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy on and off the highway.

It was delicious, and we've eaten there a few times since and always have a great experience. We both have been wanting to try some of their lunch specials, but we work and can't get there to check it out. We were off today and decided to go there for lunch because they were having chicken and noodles, and that's one of my favorite meals. It did not disappoint at all. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals and even ordered seconds to go, so we could have it for dinner. The chicken and noodles came with mashed potatoes, corn or green beans, and a roll. You could definitely tell the food was homemade too. Delicious! The Farmhouse Diner isn't a very big restaurant and can get pretty busy. It reminds me of a little country diner where all the local farmers and their wives go to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is always super friendly and attentive too. We will definitely be going back.

Apparently, Lumpy's is a favorite of the locals. The staff calls the regulars by name. Everyone else is "Honey." I was "Honey." There was a table of regulars drinking coffee and talking politics and shooting the bull. It's a salt of the earth kind of local diner. A table opened up by the door after ten minutes. The menu is filled with comfort food. Most meals under $10. Nothing fancy, omelettes, burgers, sandwiches. Our server was sweet and recommended the tenderloins. The dining room is simple. Chairs and tables and a few booths. On the back wall are old photos of veterans. Local veterans being remembered by the cafe. My husband had the Big Tenderloin (which is award winning) with seasoned fries. The tenderloin was as big as his head. The meat was moist and tender and the breading seasoned well. The fries were crispy thin-cut with a few spices. He ate half the sandwich. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It was also seasoned with a crunchy breading similar to the tenderloin. The meat was moist. The cole slaw was creamy and sweet....delicious. They do a robust business in-house and carry out. If you are looking for avocado toast and and oat milk latte, this is not the place to come. If good old comfort food will suffice, then it just doesn't get better than Lumpy's.

It gives you a warm feeling watching people catching up with each other and just being friendly. And the staff is a huge part of that experience. They will make you feel like a VIP. You might even meet some of the cooks who sometimes deliver the food themselves and the owner who also has a strong presence in the restaurant. So if you are passing through town or antiquing, stop by Lumpy's to experience some small town hospitality. Maybe I'll see ya there.

This restaurant is new to us, as it wasn't there when we lived in Pendleton many moons ago. We all love an old historic home, so win, win. I was so excited about my flight of mimosas, I didn't get a picture of my omelet, but it was devine. All 4 of my granddaughters wanted the berry waffles and every single one of them devoured their food. My daughter, mother and grandmother ordered different breakfast wraps and we all very pleased. You do have to go up to the register to order and then they bring your food to you. You're asked to bus your own tables into provided bus bins. Very small business feel with a lot of attention to detail and providing a homey yet upscale atmosphere? I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was greatly enjoyed by all.

This place has been a hit with my "21+" family due to the great food, great location, and usually good service. Minors are not allowed. I love the small town feel!! The restaurant vibe reflects the town. Everyone is very welcoming. I didn't catch bartenders name, but she was very friendly to everyone at her bar. She told us her favorites on the menu. I appreciated her knowledge about the restaurant and the menu. The bar area seemed a little dark, but that actually enhanced the experience of an old bar. We only sat in the bar area, I believe there is additional seating in another room, but I didn't look. I opted for a grilled tenderloin and a cup of beer cheddar jalapeño cheese soup. The sandwich's are Ala carte. The sandwich was bigger than I expected, that would have been enough for lunch. The trick with grilled tenderloin is that many times it is over cooked, so it is dry. This was cooked to perfection; cooked but still moist. The sandwich, with the "garden" was awesome. Now to the soup. I think she said they use wee Mac as the beer. The jalapeño was puréed. There was crispy bacon crumbled on top; I did not care for the bacon. The soup was odd to me as I was eating it. Because of the texture, it reminded me of corn chowder. There was a little spice/flavor from the jalapeño. What was odd to me, was it didn't wow me like I thought it would, but I kept eating it. So in the end, I think I really liked it bc I ate all of it!!! The menu is not large, but has a good variety for its size. The desserts were impressive, I just didn't have room for it. I could easily become a regular there!!
