Literally some of the best service we've ever had. Actually, it was better than most fancy restaurants. She's been there almost 20 years, so she's a pro. I had the Texas omelette which was huge and delicious and awesome. The food lacked a little salt, but based on the clientele which is mostly older, I didn't get mad. Most of the places where I travel that have older people as most of their diners lack salt. The omelette had onions and peppers and pickled jalapeno and tomatoes and steak. I also added spinach. Literally SO GOOD. The hash browns were super crispy and perfect. THOSE PUMPKIN PANCAKES THO. GET THEM. SO much flavor, made with real pumpkin and INSANE. Location is in a nice spot. I hear this place is in the top 10 for Amarillo and so far, I feel at home here. Service is friendly. They are quick to help and are super friendly. The coffee is great. Just creamer and I'm good to drink. Normally I add a bit of sugar but it wasn't needed which makes for a great coffee. We ordered omelettes which comes with two sides. The sides alone were enough to pacify the hunger of any hungry man or woman. But everything was super tasty. The red and green salsa with the omelettes were both delicious. The pancakes? Like in the name of the restaurant? Super delicious. Biscuits and gravy were damn good too. I really loved this place. Made me feel at home, prices are well worth it, and service was great. It's good ol American breakfast. Lines are usually long but the pancakes and hot coffee are great.

When we were being, seated the floor near the kitchen was very greasy and slippery. Plus, have the employees even looked at the cabinets, counters and floors around the area right outsides of the kitchen? It's really gross. If it's that dirty, how do we know the kitchen is any cleaner? The same goes for the bathrooms. Then, we got a coffee mug that had lipstick on it and the waffle was so undercooked that it was flat out gross. We won't return. read more

I got the senior two eggs soft scrambled with ham, hash browns & biscuits & gravy. Her egg was cooked properly, and she liked the pancakes, but she was glad for having salsa on the side as she didn't like it. I had to send my plate back because the eggs were under cooked and runny. Server said that's the way they do soft scram. I said okay, then have them cooked medium scram, which they did. Ham was bland, hash browns okay, biscuits bordered on being dense and gravy was also bland and lumpy. Best part of our meal, the coffee. Not good! in town for the weekend. Found this place by looking up beast breakfast in Amarillo. So we just had to try it. My wife and i when travling always look for places like this. Went to Big Texan last night for dinner and was so disappointed in the service and have noticed in the last year the quality of service has been declining. So let me say the service we had here was OUTSTANDING AND REFRESHING from the time we set foot inside. Our waitress was quick hapPy/cheerful. The food was a very good portion. I called in a order and the person taking the order was super friendly! I ordered the peanut butter chocolate chip three stack and that fed me for a whole day ! It was delicious!! Had one of the most racist situation happened at this place, ..ordered a steak omlette cause I don't eat pork, the omlette had ham squares in it, so I told my waitress which was very nice my situation she apologized sincerely, had the chef clean the grill and make me a fresh omlette I cut into took a bite and it had ham squares also smh....the chef comes out to and say he cleaned the grill and that's my problem and basically if I don't like it I can leave...never again will I or anyone I know eat there mind you they sit me and my family right in front of the kitchen door! read more

I wanted to give this 5 stars because it is a great place in most aspects but because the service has been slow and practically ignoring me at times I feel that I need to subtract 1 star for that. The food is great, the waitresses are friendly, and it's a wonderful place to go, especially if you are not in a hurry. I wasn't particularly in a hurry but still I don't expect to sit for 20 or 30 minutes before someone finally comes to take my order, especially when there are people whizzing by me all the time not acknowledging me. Every single thing I've ordered has been delicious and it is great food for the value, not expensive at all, pretty home-cooked tasting. They even have a senior menu that has even better prices although the prices on their regular Foods are very reasonable for the quality you get. My only other problem is that I'm not much of a morning person and they close at 2 p.m. so I've really had to struggle to try and make it here before they close if I want to eat here. Big, greasy breakfast's for the hearty appetite!

I would have never stopped by this place if I wasn't dragged here, kicking and screaming. It just doesn't pop out and say "EAT HERE!" for me. The inside looks like a nursing home or something with a different array of tables and such. But boy when my food arrived, it looks glorious. And tasted as such. Delicious hash brows and tasty Belgian waffle with strawberries and pecans and whipped cream. The English muffin was divine. My only complaint was the waffle was slightly dry but the toppings helped with that. My mom got an omelette which was equally scrumptious, but would have been better if the cheese were inside the omelette and not on top, she says. But outside of the cheese on the omelette and the dryness of the waffle, this place is definitely good for repeat visits if I return to Amarillo to try all the different options on the large menu. read more
