I called these cretins only after I was told by Yellow Cab that they had no drivers in the area and wouldn't for 2 hours. I told AA that I was in need of a round trip ride from my house to a local store that via Yellow Cab or one of the other local services usually costs me #15 round trip, including the tip. Their cab arrives fifteen minutes late, then has the guts, gall and the gumption to want to charge me $30 for the same trip. I told him, "No, I'll go to another store." This store is about 1/2 the distance of the other store and I usually pay $8 round trip for that. He wanted $20! Because I was in dire need of a ride, I couldn't very well cancel out, but I would've if it came down to that. He began to cry poor mouth: "I had to come from Bay Point (5 miles away) on a Friday from the BART station, so I am missing out on money." If that was the case, why didn't he keep his goony a-- there? We finally "settled" on $25 to the original site, and that was after I told him I needed to get there to cash a check--and he wasn't about to let me out of the cab without giving him something. The kicker is, he never turned on the meter, otherwise I would have had proof positive he was getting over like a fat rat in a cheese factory. I said all that to point out this: I wouldn't ride with these shady bastards again at gun point. Beware if those who charge "flat fees" in lieu of turning on the meter.

I tried to get an Uber, but they didn't have any cars at all in the area..... so we found AA Taxi Cab and made a call. The driver from AA Cab showed up exactly when he said he'd be there, and got us home in great time. He was courteous and pleasant, and it was a great ride. My compliments on good service. No, it wasn't the cheapest ride -- but it was worth the fare. If we're in that area and ever need a cab again, we know who to call. And they do accept credit cards. We also have documentation, photos, and our printed reservation confirmation--including the special accommodation notes--that clearly show what actually happened. To clarify the timeline: 1. Reservation Made in Advance We reserved transportation several weeks in advance, specifically requesting the correct ADA-capable vehicle to accommodate passengers traveling with fully motorized mobility scooters, along with our group and luggage. These accessibility needs were clearly documented in our reservation. 2. Wrong Vehicle Arrived for Pickup When the driver arrived at our home for pickup, the vehicle was not the ADA-appropriate van we reserved and could not accommodate our passengers or their scooters. When we contacted ABC, the only solution offered was to send a second van hours later and at nearly double the cost--which would have caused us to miss our ship's departure entirely. This left us scrambling to salvage our travel plans. 3. We Called Ahead to Confirm Our Return Ride Because of the problems at pickup, we proactively called ABC before our return date to ensure the correct vehicle would be sent and that we would not experience the same issue again. Even Varinder admits in his response that we "again" requested the correct van for our ADA passengers--which simply confirms that the proper vehicle had already been requested and reserved from the beginning. 4. ABC Cancelled Our Return Trip During that call--three days before our scheduled return pickup--ABC's response was not to reassure us or correct the issue. Instead, they canceled our return transportation outright. No alternatives were offered. No assistance was provided. There was zero customer service or effort to help resolve the situation. That is why my original review was posted after ABC canceled on us before our return trip. For anyone traveling with ADA accessibility needs, mobility devices, or larger groups, I strongly recommend not relying on this company. Our experience showed they cannot be trusted to provide the vehicle you reserve or support customers when serious problems arise. Fortunately, after ABC canceled our return transportation, we were able to book Uber XXL vehicles, which ended up being far more reliable. You can schedule Uber rides in advance, and they came through when we needed transportation the most. Lastly, I want to be clear that I rarely write Yelp reviews. When I do take the time to write a review, it is because the experience was significant enough that others deserve to know about it. The issue here is not miscommunication on our part--it is ABC's failure to review the reservation and properly plan for clearly disclosed ADA needs. We also reject the implication that the reviewer is not connected to the reservation. The last name on the reservation matches mine, and your own response acknowledges that multiple people--myself, my sister, and my mother--contacted your company about this booking to ensure the correct accommodations were arranged. We made multiple efforts to confirm the details in advance. In short, we over-communicated to prevent exactly this situation, while ABC failed to review the information provided and assign an appropriate vehicle. The return trip was a little different due to my having to wait for luggage which never arrived however, my driver understood and parked nearby, asking me to text him as soon as to I was ready for pickup. I'm uncertain of the financial consequences for delays in being picked up from SFO but if I were using Airport Taxi Cab Services again I'd read that fine print closely to ensure I do. Unlike the taxi transport services I used in Paris, neither of the cars I rode in were new but they were perfectly fine, and right-sized for my needs. The man asked for my address and told me he knew where that was. The next morning no one was at my house at 7, 7:10. . . I called to ask where they were and the man said he called me a couple of times. I didn't have any record of that on my phone and I had been holding my phone the whole time waiting. He said he was at the Safeway and to tell him how to get to my house. Finally he showed up at 7:30. He showed up in an unmarked car that had no meter in it. He had already quoted me $30 for a ride from Hillcrest to Bay Point BART. He had no credit card machine either. We got to BART and I asked if the fare was discounted because he was late and I had missed the BART train. He said no. I asked if he took a credit card. He said no, he didn't have a machine. I told him I wasn't tipping him because he didn't arrive on time and he created stress for me catching my flight. He was very unapologetic and rude.

We start installing it, while the driver sat there looking more annoyed that we had to install it. The base was missing. It was a completely useless, dilapidated car seat. I asked him where the base was, he looked at me through his rear view mirror and said "I don't know." plainly and cut his eyes back to the front windshield as if this was our problem and not his. We had to choose between missing our flight or taking the damn cab ride embracing baby, praying to god we don't get in a wreck. We should have gotten out but we didn't. Thankfully we made it okay but this was a grievous mistake on their end and the owner said he was 'sorry for the confusion' as if he mentioned free gummy bears and only had mints. No, man. It was a lot more serious than an innocent mixup. The driver was cordial at the end and helped with our bags. The taxi van was old and as soon as the air came on, old sour smells came wafting about as I sat miserably listening to the saxophone music grating on my every nerve. Bob's a real gentleman who helps you get to where you need/want to be. He is really down to earth and easy to talk to which you don't find too often in Taxi drivers. He is a great conversationalist. I really feel at ease talking to him. Sometimes I feel like Bob's really a understanding neighborhood bartender you can easily chat with that happens to drive a Taxi. He is that friendly and easy to chat with. I've even learned stuff from him that I should have known given my age. For example, I've learn how to do a S.O.S signal. It is 3 flashing lights and then 3 steady lights. How we came to this point, well, again, as I said, Bob's a great conversationalist. I joked that this might save my life one day. If I ever have to use this Bob and it saves my life, well, there's going be a big tip for you when you get to heaven! God Bless Bob!
