I usually count on family for my transport to and from the Memphis airport, but with a 6:15 a.m. flight, I didn't want to test the limits of their affection. I called the Bettie Bus and was quoted a $40 fare for a shuttle from midtown at that hour! So I decided to use my Taxi Magic app and scheduled a cab on Sun to pick me up at 4:15 a.m. on Mon. (I decided to leave ample time in case they were late, or worse yet didn't show up at all.) I was just getting ready to head down to the lobby at a few minutes past 4 to wait when I received an automated call from the company to let me know that my cab was already there and waiting! I hustled on down, the driver came to the door when I stepped out and carried two of my bags down a flight of stairs and I was on my way. I arrived at the airport with time to spare-and for a fare of $19-compared, don't forget, to the Bettie Bus's $40 quote. I'm sold, and I would definitely use them (and Taxi Magic) again! read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. I called 5 hr. prior to needing a wheelchair accessible cab for my mom's Dr. appt. They indicated it might not be available at the exact time but close to it. I called 2 hr. prior to just confirm. Mom is dressed, in her wheelchair and we're waiting. After 15 min. I call and they don't even have a cab available. I called every 15 min as instructed if no cab had arrived. Every time no van is available and they are still searching for one. To make a long story short, we had to reschedule my mom's appointment. We tried other services but to no s avail. They eventually call 2.5 hrs after our scheduled pickup to see if we still needed a ride. Hell no, the place is now closed. Called from a bar my friend and I had walked to for some food and drinks. One of us ended up quite drunk and the other was pretty tipsy as well. We decided to call a taxi to get a ride back to the hotel due to our conditions. When I called the lady that answered was barely audible at first. I told her where we were and where our hotel was and she very rudely replied "Well the Sheraton is only a street over!" Technically it was. But ut was one street over and nearly a mile up the road. I should have known it was going to be a bad experience based on the woman who answered the phone and her attitude. I am from IL and had some trouble explaining where I needed a ride to because I knew the name of the place but she wanted an exact address. I told her I could look it up and tell the driver or call her back but she was aggravated that I would even call without having that info, I didn't know I would need it. Arranged for a cab the night before my flight. The cab driver calls and states they will be 15 minutes late. One hour later they show up. You would think the cab company would find another driver to make the trip. I guess timeliness and customer service are not important. I use to work for this company & Lets just say we were paid to tell lies to most of all the customers. We just about know who's going to get a cab and who won't. But the supervisors their would always tell us to tell you guys that we are still working on your orders. (Bad Idea) Your Oder will stay on that screen, for as long as possible. They don't care if you get a cab or not! Like most of you guys know when you place an order, the rep will tell you give us 15 to 20 minutes. In reality you may be waiting an hour or two. Who wants to wait that long to get a ride. (are you serious) The only way you may get a cab is if a driver is in your area. And if you're going two blocks away , you probably would want to make other arrangments. This cab company sucks BIG time........ Plus half of the staff their is rude as hell. I have called this company a few times when I needed a ride in the rain. Morning pick ups were pretty quick and efficient but evening pick ups have left much to be desired. I live in downtown Memphis but work in a not so great area about a mile north of downtown. I have called twice for a cab home and have waited for a long time to be picked up. I called ahead of time once to arrange for a pick an hour later. When the time came, no cab. I ended up cancelling and getting another ride home. I think I need to find a new cab service. Called for a cab, one hour later had not arrived and I called back and they said it was cancelled because I did not call them back after 30 minutes. What? INSANE. They gave me that this was policy (but of course not explained to the customers) and then a second shot at it and after 30 minutes (this time promised to be there in 10 minutes) again gave me the same excuse...it had been cancelled by THEM because I didn't call back again. I don't think I've ever had a goog experience with this company. I caked for a cab at Kroger today because I had my two signs and my 4 year couldn't make the walk back. When we came outside and went to the cab he tools us he was not there for us but had just dropped someone else off. I asked him to pkease take us home (someone else got our cab) and he said no then proceeded to sit in the parking lot for 10 minutes. These people never show up on time. I called an hour ahead of time and had to call back and was sent to a voice mail then I called back immediately and was told the car that was dispatched accidentally picked up the wrong person but they would dispatch someone immediately. I'm still not sure if I'm going to make my flight. Do not use these guys if you can help it - although my driver was nice and hurried once he finally got to me. Called at 430 am to get a cab to the airport to catch a flight, rep from yellow cab said 15-20 minutes if we aren't there in 20 call us. We called for a cab to pick us up to go down to a local bar. Forty minutes later I called the company and they said that they had not found anyone in our area yet so I told them to forget it. Not five minutes later, one of the drivers calls me back to see if anyone came to pick us up and I said no and to not worry about it. We called the cab company back and asked if they could just pick us up from the bar this time. This was a good hour before the bar closed so we could let him know we needed him at 1 am. This is the most unreliable cab company out there. I had a 6 am flight and called one day in advance to order a cab to the airport the next morning at 4:30 am. By the time 4:30 am that morning came, no call and no cab. When I called, the operator said they could not find a cab yet. What's the point of taking a reservation? When I called back to cancel my reservation as I was already late for my flight, I also asked to speak with a supervisor. On June 5th I had my Memphis, TN hotel concierge RESERVE a taxi for the next morning to get me to the Amtrak Train Station. The YELLOW CAB failed to show up, almost causing me to miss my train. When concierge called to see what happened, she was told "drivers don't like to take local trips--they want to do airport runs." Well, they should not have accepted the reservation! I used this cab service very frequently to go from Cordova to Bartlett and the reverse way many times to hangout with my best friend who had no car at the time. All of those times they were very polite, got there in a reasonable time, and they charged me reasonable prices. So, I would give them very good tips. However, on April 23, 2015, my friend was again having car troubles so I called the service and I was informed that my cab would be there in about 20 minutes. The cab driver called and said the same thing. Well, after about 10-15 minutes, my friend got his car working again so I called to cancel the service. They said "Okay, have a good day." About 2 or 3 minutes later, I receive a call from my cab driver, Leonard, and he said he was in front of my house (which he was not.) I told him politely "Sorry sir I cancelled my service." Which he sighed then said "You asshole." Then hung up. I called back and told him to please not talk to me like that again. His response again was "You fucking asshole." then hung up again. I scheduled a pick-up for a group of people in advance and the cab never showed. I called Yellow Cab Co 4 times to see what was going on while we were waiting and the operator kept telling me that the cab was on its way. On 1/7/2017 @8:35, I Abby Morgan, called to place an order for a yellow cab to pick up a patron of Dru's Bar. The dispatcher informed me that a cab will be available in 15 minutes. To my surprise, I received a call within 2-3 minutes of the call from the cab driver. And he informed me he will pick up but he needed to be paid up front and I had never heard that before but by me needing to get the person home I agreed. My husband and I used Premier Transportation Services better known as Yellow Cab Co on a Sunday afternoon and the driver was very kind, the car clean and rather it was a pretty good ride and we were dropped off at a local restaurant to enjoy our day because our SUV was down and we were up for a brand new ride. At any rate, after dinner we rode Premier/ Yellow Cab Co to the movies and this ride was the same as the first one, the driver was kind, the Van (it was a van this time) and it was pretty clean as well. After our movie, we called Premier Transportation Services aka Yellow Cab co for a pick up to return home. The driver came, and once we were all loaded I noticed he set the price to 3 additional passengers. Mind you I was advised by a friend that Yellow Cab co has been known to overcharge a person if you are not paying attention to the additional passenger indicator and if you don't know about the $1.00 additional person charge that's listed on their website. ( http://www.yellowcabofmemphis.com/our-rates). I told the driver he is charging us wrong and he stated " Oh ! Do you really think I would over charge you"? I said "Yes. You're website says $1.00 each additional person and I let him know that I was reading it directly from his employers website. He proceeded to drive off in anger. Once we got close to our destination I stated again "Sir, you are over charging us" He said " I have been with Yellow Cab co for over 10 years so I know how to charge you". I stated again "Sir, you are incorrect" ! The initial passenger is my husband, then me and then our 5 year old. It states each additional passenger. That means your additional charge indicator should state 2 additional passenger not 3 because 4 people are NOT in this car. To keep the peace, my husband tapped me, we paid him, got out the car and I stated I will handle this with your boss. He sat in front of our house for a few minutes and then he SPEED OFF really fast. I contact Yellow and was transferred to dispatch and I spoke with a gentleman that told me to call and ask for Charles Rooks the next day. Long story short, I have called this Charles Rooks and left messages on SEVERAL occasions. I even EMAILED HIM (an employee gave me his email address and stated he would respond ASAP) but he did not respond at all. I WILL NOT BE RIDING WITH YELLOW CAB CO/ PREMIER TRANSPORTATION AGAIN !!! THEY STOLE FROM ME AND MY FAMILY KNOWINGLY. THIS CAB DRIVER DESERVES TO BE FIRED !! 3 weeks ago I called an hour before my requested 5PM pick up to go to the airport, driver was on site at 5PM. This past Friday- a disaster. I called 70 minutes before I wanted picked up at 5:30 PM. At 5:50 I called and asked if the driver was lost, the lady that answered said they were working on me. At 6:50 I called the Metro Cab and they said they could be there in 20 minutes. So I called and cancelled my pick up from Yellow. All I got was an OK. Metro showed up in 30. IF my flight had not been delayed, I would have missed it.
