Where do I start, awful. I travel frequently for business and pleasure, the yellow cabs in Nashville are the worst I've ever experienced. Borderline criminal activity, avoid the cabs if at all possible. 1. They shut off the meters, quote ridiculous flat rate prices. A mile request was $35, Uber was $7. 2. Took cab from Grand Ole Opry to Downtown, asked price and was told same as Uber, I told him Uber was $35. Arrived on Street near hotel as was told $60, I told him $40 was more than fair. He has automatic door on a van and would not open the door. I opened when I told him I would press charges and took a picture of him. 3. A third time was quoted $35 for a 1/2 mile, it was cold so wanted a cab, said no. Where are the leaders in Nashville? This is a wonderful city and this needs to be fixed. AVOID THIS CAB COMPANY. IT IS A RIP-OFF. My friend and I called an Uber from La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Nashville Downtown/Stadium to take us to Tootsie's bar downtown. The ride was only 1.5 miles and cost $10.00. When we were ready to come back to La Quinta, we caught a cab that was sitting on main street. (yellow cab metro) He never turned on the meter and when we got to the motel, that one and a half mile ride turned into a $40 charge!!!! I took cab #86 from the airport to my hotel, with one stop along the way to purchase some refreshments for my group. As soon as the driver heard my destination, he angrily complained that it was not a long enough fare to make up for the four hours thar he had spent waiting. He complained VERY LOUDLY the ENTIRE TIME. Wore his mask as a chin strap, covering neither nose nor mouth. Did not even help me to get my belongings out of the vehicle. An absolutely terrible cab company. I called for a cab, was told one was on its way, and then I waited for 25 minutes. I called to get an ETA and was told that they decided not to send the cab because they didn't want to send one to my area of town at night (keep in mind, this was 10 at night, not 3 in the morning). They didn't bother to call me and let me know this, though, even though they took my number. When I complained, they said they would send a taxi in the next few minutes. It never arrived. They sent two drivers to three wrong houses before they finally got one in my driveway. Even he was down the street honking at my neighbors for a few minutes before he called to make sure it was the right house. Luckily, it's almost impossible to miss a flight at BNA. Many of the drivers Don't speak/understand English or where you want to go. They are programmed to take you downtown and get upset when you don't mean the main drag or have a specific/address they get peeved. We have had a difficult getting around town, particularly with door-to-door service due to a handicap person in our party. We asked to be taken to a specific location, but evidently there are multiple locations. So I specifically gave the driver the address and was driven to a different location 20 minute the wrong way- so a total of 40 miles out of the area where we wanted to go. We first called Checker Cab and waited for over an hour. I called them two more times and they still didn't show up. So I called Yellow Cab Metro and they came within 15 minutes. I have a mixed review here. The first time I used them to get me to the airport for a 6 am flight, the driver was punctual, but his cab reeked of cigarettes. He was nice though, so that is the reason for the 1 stars. The 2nd time I used Yellow cab to take some out-of-town friends to experience Broadway. The driver took forever to show up, then proceeded to insult me and my guest. I couldn't really believe what I was hearing, I'm pretty sure he called me a dog beneath his breath. He also made some sort of racial slur towards my friend. After my 2nd experience and from what I've read online about Nashville Yellow Cab, I would recommend avoiding this company like the plague.
