The driver and vehicle were fine, but the service is a bit spotty. They're not always running when you might need them to.

The driver for this business felt it was appropriate to pull into my business and throw out a bottle that co rained some kind of liquid that splashed on the driveway. When I contacted Yellow Cab to find out if there was an issue I was unaware of I received a return call from the driver. He stated his name was Rodger and was extremely irate and belligerent on the phone. I hung up and he proceeded to call me back a total of 8 times. I have called back to the main office multiple times, requesting a call from the business owner, who has neglected to return my calls. The behavior of this man is extremely concerning, and I definitely wouldn't get into a cab with him after the way, he behaved over the phone. read more

Yellow Cab Taxi service is the worse taxi service in the bay area. The drivers are rude and have no sense of customer service. The guy hardly understood English and acted as if he had a chip on his shoulder. I told him my exact drop off location and he intentionally went past it a few times to increase his fair. Well, I have never needed to take a cab in Vallejo before but I needed a ride back to the garage to pick up my car today and I called Yellow Cab, despite all the negative reviews (evidently there aren't all that many choices here so what else was I going to do?). The cab arrived on time (15 minutes after I placed my call), the ride was fast (a little too fast and jerky but I arrived safe and sound). The price seemed a little high to me for a relatively short ride but it wasn't outrageous and they gave me the written receipt that I needed. So, I guess the upshot is that if I ever need a ride again I will probably call them. read more

Pretty terrible. Extremely unreliable and the dispatcher is awfully rude. If you are in need of transportation in this city, PLEASE MAKE AN ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENT. Do not rely on the cabs in Vallejo. I needed to catch an Amtrak bus at a nearby Denny's that would take me to the Martinez train station at 5:10 PM. I call at 3 PM to see if they would be available, and dispatcher 1 (male) tells me to call when I'm ready. At 4:40 PM I call again, only to have dispatcher 2 (female) say that there are no cabs available and that there was a 45 minute wait time. Really? Being in danger of missing my train, I was fortunate enough to have the hotel staff provide a shuttle to the Denny's. It was only a 4 minute drive, but would have been a 40 minute walk. After calling 3 other can services and it all going to voicemail (useless...) called them. They arrived ahead of time, driver knew exactly where I was going and got me there in record time. Usually my dealings with this company is pretty good. But tonight im totally disappointed. I need to do a quick round trip, just to get something to eat. I called at 930, he told me it would be a 1/2hr wait. Not a problem, so i wait. 10:21 rolls around and still no ride. So i call and dispatch informs me a driver will be here in 15-20 min. Ok, not a problem so i wait. After another 30 min i call cause still no pick up. Dispatch dont answer. Now its 1:30am and the cab finally shows up and honks, mind u its 130am. Then drives off. Dangerous driver called Akbar Ali- of Vallejo yellow cabs.He picked me up at the ferry in vellejo.Halfway, He said he'd changed his mind about taking me, started to shout at me to pay him and get out the taxi. I told him I would pay him but it was the middle of the highway, and being a young female tourist in a foreign country, could he take me somewhere safe at least,rather than drop me at a dangerous place. If I could give zero stars, I would. It's sad that all of these negative reviews don't matter because we need these cabs more than they need us, I guess. I've used this company a few times when coming home from a bar. .. Always waited for what seemed like eternity (when drunk and SO ready to crash out!). I've also used the service when sober to schedule a cab for early in the mornings. If the man answers, he's a dick period. The woman who answers has always been nice, but just LAST NIGHT I called IN ADVANCE to schedule a cab to be at my house at 6:15 am. Waiting outside at 6:15, no cab. Call and it's the dickhead trying to push me off the phone. 6:20, no cab. Call again and it's the asshole dispatching the cab driver asking him his location and that he'll call me back. ..no call back. 6:25 rolls around and FINALLY I see the cab. Luckily I made it to the VTC on time but to top it off, I purposely didn't want to tip the guy, so he took 50 cents out of the fare. WTF is that shit? My taxi arrived within 5 minutes of my call. With the dispatcher taking calls and dispatching at the same time, was just a little chaotic, but all in all work out just fine. The taxi was clean and neat and the driver very polite. He took me to my destination quickly via the shortest route. Altogether very satisfactory.
