Solid prices for the area, good portions, delightful empanadas! Adorable server, lovely location and outdoor setup. Gluten friendly options and I love the breakfast menu!

Sancocho de res

This restaurant is amazing! I have been up in Fort Collins for work for over a month now and have been eating my way through the menu and haven't been disappointed a single time. I don't think you can order wrong here haha. My favorite thing that i have ordered is either the huevos pericos or sancocho (only served saturday or Sunday). If you go, be sure to get a buñuelo with your meal and for dessert do not miss out on the tres leches or guava cheese empanada....soooo good..you will be so glad you ordered. They've also got a great juice and Colombian beer selection. It's kinda hard to not buy everything when i go in there because everything is so good The staff is also incredibly friendly, i have met several of them at this point from going so often and everyone is very welcoming and nice. Even when it's super busy the service has been great and the food usually comes out fast. I am excited for them to expand though because the space is very small. It would be hard to bring a big group there at this time. Overall Fort Collins is definitely super lucky to have this gem!!

Medallo and Chicken Empanadas
Becki H.

I've been here a handful of times already during their soft opening and have been impressed with both the food and the service. It's located in a small shipping container at The Exchange with a small seating area (read: VERY small), and the quality is outstanding considering the space they're working with. I went in for the empanadas to start - the Medallo (GF), the Nacho and the Chicken (GF) empanada. While greasy, and DELICIOUSLY so, they are obviously freshly made to order, piping hot, and full of flavor. The spicy sauce/salsa they include has a massive kick of heat, and I'm officially obsessed and am hoping they offer to bottle this soon. There is some gluten cross-contamination worries since they have other options that aren't gluten-free. The woman working the register was friendly and outgoing, and up for answering any and all questions that the line of customers had. The Buñuelo (GF) is a deep-fried ball of cheese, corn starch and yuca flour. This is delicious on its own - crunchy outside, soft and pillowy inside, but I used the avocado sauce as a dip to enhance the flavor. I'll be heading back to try some of their full entree dishes, but likely will stick to take-out until summertime since the dining room fills up pretty quickly!

I ordered the grilled chicken bowl, it was large and delicious. I could only eat half of it. Very flavorful I would definitely recommend it!

Chicken and Medallo empanadas and Picada mix

Yellow crunch was a great experience! I stopped by and got two empanadas and their picada mix. All of the food was hot and very tasty! The picada mix is plenty to share! The service was fast, and the vibes were immaculate! Will be returning!

I've left a review before but wanted to drop some pictures. We are still regulars at Yellow Crunch and love the new menu items like the Salpicon! The service is always friendly and welcoming and the location is such a nice place to spend the afternoon.

I consider myself a Mexican food connoisseur, and frankly resent that I'm writing such a glowing…read morereview for a restaurant so far from Mexico. But this was genuinely some of the best Mexican-inspired food of my LIFE! As a vegetarian, Mexican food tends to be hit or miss when it comes to creative meat substitutes. Blue Agave chose fried avocado tacos as its offering, and WOW. They were truly amazing. Life changing. Well spiced, the right amount of filling in each taco, and the avocado itself was perfectly ripe and fried well without much residual grease. Not only that, but the side beans and rice were incredible. The portions were generous and spiced magically- I could eat just the beans and rice as a dish on its own. I was also astounded by how the grilled corn sauce was thick and saucy, but tasted EXACTLY like elote- some kind of culinary magic. This place may be slightly pricier, but the food portions are large and I cleaned my plate and left feeling stuffed. My companions couldn't finish their beans and rice, and if I didn't think I was going to explode I would have cleaned their plates, too. I'm glad I don't live in FoCo or else I would go broke eating here. I cannot recommend it enough, especially those avocado tacos. I will be dreaming of them for years. The restaurant was a little jammed when I visited and some might find the atmosphere overwhelming, but I would say it's absolutely worth it. Seriously, if you're going to one place in FoCo, go here.

Hits: - buttermilk: first one i've ever had that actually kind of tastes like buttermilk. great texture too - glazed chocolate cake donuts: the cake base is super chocolatey even without chocolate icing. impressive. Misses: - apple fritter: soft and flexible like a paper plate with minimal pieces of apple, really disappointing given how big it is. mine had way too much cinnamon in it too. - anything with "strawberry" icing: classic pepto bismol flavor, my search for good strawberry donuts in ongoing - glazed: wet?? definitely not a raised texture, the icing kinda soaks into it making it soggy. can't decide if it wants to lean cake donut or bready donut. ???: two-toned knott - bready, is it supposed to be that way?

Since it was my first time, I decided on a trio of their glazed varieties. I'm not a huge fan of overly filled and topped donuts anyway. The classic plain glazed donut was fluffy and airy inside and lightly glazed on top- perfect. The glazed French Crueller was slightly wet inside and crispy outside- prob won't get again as I prefer the fluffiness of the classic donut. The sour cream fashioned I saved for last because it's my go-to donut. Honestly, it let me down. Yes, it was crispy with lots of crusty surface area and had a dense inside. But it had too much surface area that held on to too much glaze, making it overall way too sweet for me. I will be back to get more plain glazed and maybe try the twisted two-toned.
