I was craving for bingsoo and then I got the yes to attend this event! The store was located in a plaza and it was hidden somewhat. The staff were friendly, informative, and patient as well! They were generous enough to offer bingsoo and a beverage of any choice! I ordered the strawberry bingsoo and the biscoff latte. Since I couldn't have caffeine I gifted the biscoff latte to my hubby and he loved it! Strawberry bingsoo: The size of it was great for one person. I would say for one adult and one baby/toddler that's able to eat real food. It had a cream with a piece of strawberry but I would like less cream for my preference. When you start to dig into the shaved ice there are hidden pieces of strawberries too which was nice. Would I order bingsoo again? Yes but in a different flavor :) The store was aesthetically pleasing but I wouldn't recommend like a huge group setting inside the store but probably outside which was shady. It's super light and fluffy, sweet throughout but not overly so, and fresh strawberries. It was so refreshing on a 95 degree day. The Biscoff matcha latte was delicious too with a nice combo of caramel sauce, Biscoff cookie crumbles, and matcha latte. They have some delectable looking pastries as well. The dining room is bright and modern with a photo booth. There's a good amount of seating outside if it gets crowded inside. Staff was super friendly but I could see them getting overwhelmed if they have a line. There should probably be a couple more workers helping to make the orders. I've driven by this place over a hundred times and never noticed it was here, so this was quite the surprise when I showed up for the Yelp event -- guess I'm considering Floe Cafe a hidden gem going forward. The matcha was some of the best I've had! They use ceremonial grade matcha which is very creamy and not chalky at all. I ordered the Violet Cloud and it was tasty while not being too sweet. Both the Biscoff Coffee and Mango Bingsoo were delicious! Bingsoo really is a perfect desert to me: it's light, refreshing, not too sweet, and really satisfies that sweet tooth craving. Huge fan of the items on offer here and they have a wide selection of flavors to choose from when it comes to their matcha and Bingsoo so you can always spice it up when you go. The service here was great as well. Plenty of seating outside with a few seats inside as well as a Photo Booth if you want to make a memory while you're there. This was such a cute little matcha and bingsoo cafe! The parking situation was a little interesting because it's technically ticketed parking, which surprised me considering how small the plaza is, but thankfully the cafe validates. The cafe itself is tucked into the corner of the plaza, so it can be a little easy to miss. Inside, everything was super clean and had a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. There were a few people working on their laptops while I was there, and I could definitely see this being a nice spot to sit and get some work done. They also have a photo booth inside, which was an interesting and fun little touch. I got the strawberry matcha and the strawberry bingsoo. As someone who isn't normally the biggest fan of bingsoo because my teeth are pretty sensitive to cold things, I actually thought they did this one really well. It had the perfect amount of sweetness, and I especially liked that the strawberry chunks weren't too big. They were much easier to eat without completely freezing my teeth off, which I appreciated. I did sit at a table near the window, and the sun made my table surprisingly warm, so I definitely had some motivation to eat the bingsoo quickly before it melted! The strawberry matcha was good as well. I liked the fresh strawberry puree, but I don't think it mixed into the matcha particularly well. Toward the end, I found myself moving my straw around mid-sip trying to get some strawberry and matcha at the same time because I realized that if I kept drinking from the same spot, I was going to finish all of the puree and be left with plain matcha. The matcha itself was only lightly sweetened and definitely more matcha-forward, which I personally didn't mind. If you're newer to matcha or prefer sweeter matcha drinks, though, this might be a bigger step into the actual matcha flavor compared to drinks at some other cafes. Overall, I had a good experience! The cafe was cute and clean, the bingsoo pleasantly surprised me, and I liked the matcha even with the mixing issue. The small bingsoo is fairly small but I thought it was a good size for one person. Mostly covered, outdoor speaker playing some pretty good music, and lots of seating available. So why only 3 stars? Well, I guess maybe bingsoo just isn't for me unfortunately. This was my first time trying it, and I found it a little flavorless and bland, and while this experience was comped, I also found them extremely overpriced. I ordered one of the refreshers as my drink, and that was ok, nothing special. It was very busy when I arrived, and it showed in the speed of the service. Very slow pushing out orders. Parking at this location is also kind of a hassle, as there is no free parking anywhere in the area. This was a Yelp Elite Experience that made me discover Floe Cafe and love it so much I actually had to come a SECOND time the next day because my girlfriend and I could not get enough of it! The cafe is located in what seems like a business / corporate area. Upon arriving to the front of the store, you'll see its nicely decorated and aesthetic outdoor seating area / patio, great for enjoying your drinks and bingsu. The interior was also really nice and clean. We had the Strawberry Matcha and Mango Bingsu, also ordering a separate Matcha Latte. Both Matcha drinks were spectacular, but the strawberry puree in the Strawberry Matcha was fantastic; sweet but still reminiscent of strawberry, like you can tell that fresh strawberry went into making it. The Bingsu was definitely a highlight for me as well. I'm usually not a fan of milk base Bingsu but the accompanying mango sauce, mango chunks, fresh cream, and cheesecake bites all layered into the shaved show made this a real sweet treat that had so much flavor in every bite. Another awesome opportunity right here, very cool being able to participate. I tried out the strawberry bingsoo and grape ade refresher. I am beyond pleased with the bingsoo, that was an awesome treat! It was light and had so much flavor. No replacement for YL, but a welcoming change of pace getting in on something new. With a thorough mixing, the grape ade came through well. Very friendly flavor with strong sparkling water characteristics to it. For me, it paired well with the bingsoo.. Tried a sip of the biscoff latte that we ordered on the side, I was not impressed.. I love the modern feel, the photo booth tucked in the corner, and the outdoor seating so I could feel pinky out with everyone else.. The two ladies working were very friendly, informative with their available selections, and ensured I was happy with my overall experience. Certainly knew what they were doing. I dig how there are multiple coffee/drink spots in this one area. Everyone seems to capitalize on their own business with ease. I came on a Saturday where the surrounding medical buildings were mostly empty, none of the normal weekday traffic happening. I ended up parking my truck in the yellow loading zone right outside of the lot and didn't give a damn, I will tell you straight. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The parking kiosks were open. I've been in this private lot once before, and usually you do have to pay for parking. The only downside of a paid lot is that you can't take your time, especially if you want to stay and get some work done. Ambiance/Environment: This became a trendy spot through TikTok. There was consistent foot traffic when I visited, and it became busier towards late afternoon. The interior is minimal, bright, and clean. They even have a photo booth inside, which I thought was a cute idea. Although the space is medium sized, they have a good amount of indoor seating. There's also plenty of outdoor seating. Service: The cashier that assisted me was nice and knowledgable about the menu items. Throughput was quick and efficient after ordering. Bingsoo & Matcha: Everything on the menu looked appealing. I decided to try the Biscoff Matcha and Sweet Corn Bingsoo. The cashier mentioned the Biscoff Matcha is more on the sweeter end, so she adjusted the sweetness for me. I really enjoyed their matcha. The color and layers were also nice. The Biscoff flavor came from the foam and topped with Biscoff crumbs and cookie. The foam was thickkk! The flavors balanced perfectly. What a cute cafe! Thank you to Hayley, Yelp team, and Floe Cafe for setting up this wonderful experience! The Floe café is located near the St. Jude medical center. It seems that in the daytime, the café is located in a gated parking lot. Floe does validate your ticket for 2 hours, but parking spots are limited. I chose to go at night to avoid the hassle of going through that. The gate was open, and there were many spots available. The cashier gave me plenty of time to look over the menu. He was friendly and patient. I ordered a strawberry matcha latte, a matcha latte, and a mango bingsoo. I came with a friend, so we could enjoy the café together. The cashier said the extra drink was on the house, but I told him that I would pay. It's important to support local businesses!! The matcha lattes came out first. The drinks are a bit too sweet for my liking. The ice helped dilute the sweetness. The matcha was flavorful and creamy. You could actually taste the matcha in the drinks, which was enjoyable. The mango bingsoo was perfect for sharing between 2 people. The shaved ice was milky, which was pleasant to eat by itself. Personally, I didn't enjoy the mango cream, since it was a bit too rich for me. The bingsoo was a refreshing treat, especially with the fresh mango. My friend and I decided to sit inside. We spent a good hour and a half catching up. The seats are pretty comfortable. There's lots of outside seating, which is perfect for summer time! I wished we did that instead, but maybe next time. Floe Café is one of several food and drink spots located by mostly medical offices. The parking lot is private and gated, but they will validate parking for you. They have a nice covered patio out front. Inside, it is well air conditioned with several tables and with bench seating at some of the tables. They also have a photo booth and free wifi. I ordered the strawberry bingsoo. It was light, fluffy, refreshing, and not heavy. The bites with strawberry and the cream and syrup on top were extra yummy. The layer of strawberry fruit towards the bottom of the cup was a nice surprise. The regular size is perfect as it is filling, but I didn't feel stuffed after finishing it. The sweetness level was just right. For my drink, I had the Twilight Ube. I asked what was in it and they said whole milk, brown sugar, vanilla syrup, and ube. It had a great purple color, and I loved the foam top with candy sprinkles, but the ube flavor was very faint. I brought my girlfriend along, and she had the mango bingsoo with mochi. She really enjoyed it, but was surprised it had cheesecake bites in it which is normally an add-on. I'm not sure if they just added them by default for Yelpers or if it was a mistake, but she probably would have preferred to have them left out. She had the Grapefruit Ade for her drink which the woman at the counter said was one of her favorites. The Coffee Biscoff Bingsoo is definitely one of my favorites. It wasn't overly sweet, which I really liked, and I loved the little sprinkles on top. The Biscoff cookie on top tied it all together nicely. I also tried the Einspanner, which was an interesting coffee drink. It's like an espresso topped with cream, but the flavor was perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet or bitter, which made it really easy to enjoy. The shop itself is cute, modern, and clean, with a nice atmosphere for hanging out. My only complaint is that some of the tables are a little small, especially if you're sharing a Bingsoo and drinks. The matcha definitely surprised me! The green was gorgeous and I could tell they were generous with the matcha powder. The strawberry syrup was super yummy as well. First off, the matcha is actually pretty good. It's thick, very matcha-y, and not sweetened to high heavens like a lot of other places. If this place was just matcha, I think I'd give it five stars! I tried the Cloud Matcha & I also purchased the banana matcha -- both were excellent. I would come back simply for the matcha. As for the bingsoo, I tried the mango. It was fine, the regular portion is shareable with 2 if you want to cool off. There were a few things that threw me off about the mango bingsoo, though. First, the cheesecake bits didn't feel like they belonged because the sticky texture with the squishy mango didn't complement each other in my opinion. Honestly, that could just be a preference thing. I wasn't a fan of the super thick cream they used, either -- though that might just be because I'm used to condensed milk elsewhere, and this felt a bit too cheesy by comparison. In addition, the mango seemed a bit overripe and there were a few bits that were really dark at the bottom. With only the two types of dessert options, I honestly thought the bingsoo could be a little bit better. Other than that, the cafe itself had a good selection of matcha varieties and I would keep coming back for that! I really love everything about this cafe! The storefront shares a beautiful relaxing space with other businesses. Upbeat music plays on their outdoor speaker for a relaxing vibe. This lovely place was tucked away in a corner of the plaza where all the medical offices were. It was not easy to spot and a bit difficult to locate. If I didn't know, we would have definitely driven by and not know there was a nice cafe here. The parking was a bit restricted to certain offices and you have to read the signs so a bit inconvenient, but we found parking midday with less flow of people. The Bingsoo was delicious and yummy! So we will come back for it when we are in the area. The Americano and the Strawberry Matcha was good. It was nice for a summer hot day. Super cute spot. Located in a private parking lot. Free parking when validated up to 2 hours. Don't be like me and drive around looking for parking. Plenty of seat parking inside and outside. Lots of shade outside with greenery! Inside has lots of tables for laptop work or to hang out. They also have a cool Photo Booth area that's $10 for 2 strips and digital download too. I was able to get their Double Matcha and Mango Bingsoo. Double matcha looked promising with the color but I wish was a bit sweeter and thicker. Not bad tho. Located across The street from St Jude's, this spot conveniently has its own parking- and a nice mix of outdoor and indoor seating. This YEE generous provided a free drink AND small Bingsoo. We opted for the matcha cloud (delicious) and strawberry bingsoo (solid offering). In addition we tried the banana latte (good not great) and a carbonated offering. It has been so hot in orange county lately that I was so excited to get an invite to try out this cafe! Walking into the Floe Cafe, i noticed how adorable, cozy, and welcoming the whole place felt! I was immediately welcomed by the staff and everyone were so nice. There were so many delicious options but I ended up choosing mango bingsoo and strawberry matcha! For the mango bingsoo, I was surprised by how soft and creamy everything was. The snow ice felt like a pillow just melting in my mouth. It was not too sweet or too bland. It was honestly the perfect sweetness and texture! They didn't skimp out on the mango and the added cheesecake bites made the bingsoo more interesting and fun. For the strawberry matcha it was also not too sweet and I could taste both the strawberry and the matcha in the drink which was nice. Sometimes I would go to other places and get their strawberry matcha and it would either be too sweet or I couldn't taste the matcha very well because the strawberry overpowered it. But this was a nice balance! However, i took a star off because I noticed that the portion size was pretty small compared to the price on the menu. Which, even though it was delicious, I will most likely only come by to try it again once in a while as a treat. If I do come back, I really want to try their matcha bingsoo because I am a huge matcha lover! read more

The latte was really good - not too sweet and you can tell they use real ceremonial-grade matcha! The bingsoo was excellent. Extremely pillowy soft and yummy! I just wish the portion size was a little bigger for the price and also wish they included more strawberries, but I understand it's more about quality over quantity here. The staff was really nice and even gave us some tokens at the end for the little toy machine in the back. We also noticed a photo booth, which is always fun! Because it's tucked away between medical office buildings with designated parking spots and different parking charges, parking can be a bit challenging. We were worried about the location being next to the hospital, for parking reasons, but when we went later at night, it wasn't an issue. The gate to the parking lot was open and the staff at Floe reassured us that we can drive in and out with no issues or payment needed. Wow! I discovered Bingsoo today thanks to the Yelp Elite. Refreshing! So so hot over 86 degrees everyday and this Shaved ice w special toppings are perfect to cool down. I got coffee biscoff Bingsoo and biscoff matcha drink. Right away my body got frozen....haha. I had brain freezing the more I had Bingsoo. Cold... Biscoff biscuit topping tasted good. Thank you Yelp, and Floe Cafe for allowing me to try the drink and Bingsoo. I came about 8pm on a Friday night, so no need for validated parking. Everything else was closed, and the twinkle lights were on. It really gave off a warm, charming vibe here for a small gathering amongst friends. The decor was modern, and clean, and bright inside. Inside corner had a photobooth thing, which I've seen in other places, so it's nice to have this here as well. Giving this place a bit of uniqueness, to go along with the smooth music playing in the background (example : Laufey). I was able to try the Mango Bingsoo, and the Matcha drink. The staff there were friendly, and helpful in describing the drinks. The girl making the Bingsoo worked quickly, but with careful attention to detail. Staff was excellent. I'm not use to the type of Bingsoo dessert, as it's not as dense (fluffy ice) and loaded with fruit and condense milk. Topped with some cheesecake squares. It's good, but I prefer simple, almost plain type, with just the fruit and ice. I should ask for that the next time I visit this center. Matcha was flavorful, no complaints here. read more

What a little gem in the business area! There's a lot of medical buildings around so I'd imagine people come by to this area to grab lunch. It was fairly empty when I went in the early afternoon. We got the matcha bingsoo and biscoff matcha. We were so pleasantly surprised with how flavorful the matcha bingsoo was. Love that you don't taste just lightly flavored ice but it really did taste like frozen matcha shaved into fine snow and love that there were some toppings layered inside underneath the snow- otherwise you get through the top and you're done with all the toppings. The biscoff matcha was deliciousss. Definitely eat the biscoff cookie right away but very smart of them to put some biscoff crumbs on top of the cream before placing the cookie on so that the cookie doesn't start absorbing the moisture right away unless you aggravate the drink. The matcha was good, not mild, not strong, great flavor. It is on the pricier side but we were wanting more a few days later so that says something. Thank you so much Yelp and Floe Cafe for this opportunity! We would have never come out to this area to look for this, especially being in a business area, but will definitely come back! Wonderful customer service, lovely environment, and easy parking too. There's a Photo Booth in the cafe too! What a surprise. Came here on a Thursday evening with my parents for the Yelp Elite Experience - Complimentary Bingsoo & Drink. Plaza - I was initially a bit concerned with the parking entrance, that we might've had to pay to park, but it was in the evening - both the entrance/exit stoppers for parking were up, so parking was free. Plenty of parking - right in front of the store too, so glad that wasn't a concern. Ambiance - I love it, it was very cute and pretty, plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I couldn't decide on a bingsoo flavor and the guy who helped me was so nice, he gave me a small sample for sweet corn and grape bingsoo. I decided on the Matcha Bingsoo & Ube Matcha Cloud drink. I asked for the Ube Matcha Cloud drink to be blended instead of just iced, but unfortunately they said their blender is very weak and they don't have a recipe for that, so they couldn't do it. Its alright, bingsoo and drink itself were good, service was good, and ambiance was nice. Overall I had a good experience here and would definitely recommend them! I loved this place! Not only what I return because of the ambience and wonderfully kind staff, the Matcha itself and sweet corn shaved ice was actually pretty good. I was going to choose one of the most popular flavors but decided to try something new and I did not regret it. I'm a super fan of sweet corn in general, but mixing it was the shaved ice was such a fun kick I would not have expected to like so much. We came on a Tuesday night at around 6:30pm and drove from Santa Ana (at least an hour to get here) because we really wanted to try this place... Here is my honest review, with agreements from my party~ LOCATION: surrounded by many medical offices, this is a nice cafe to relax and disengage... especially if you're a healthcare worker... and this place gives 10% off if you are! Plenty of seating in and outside with a cute photobooth, though $10 for 2 strips. Parking is small and limited, but usually free if you get it authenticated by the cafe. However, arriving later in the evening, it was free with no authentication needed! WHAT WE GOT: Strawberry Matcha 6/10: matcha is a bit on the grassy side at initial taste, before tasting bland, and then with a bitter aftertaste. For me, I would've been okay if there was more sweetness/ strawberry to the flavor, as the jam was yummy itself. Biscoff Matcha 7/10: more flavorful than the strawberry but due to the cream and biscoff topping. Sweet Corn Bingsoo 9/10: this was yummy but a small for $10 is pricy for something that disappears in 5 spoons/scoops. There are some frozen corn at the bottom which was sweet but was rock hard due to being frozen which threw off the texture a bit. Coffee Biscoff Bingsoo 3/10: this was biscoff and ice. Nothing special added and there was no coffee flavor at all. Enjoyable if you like biscoff cookies but you can just get a pack instead for cheaper. Banana Matcha 5/10: tasted like artificial banana milk mixed with matcha. Don't expect a banana pudding so drink may come out looking like normal matcha SERVICE: There is really no "hi welcome" or anyone acknowledging your arrival, so I did spend 5-10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order with no one else in line. However, my friend accidentally spilled her drink and they promptly came over to help clean and remake it which was wonderful! Our order also came out pretty fast (within 5-10 min of sitting) TLDR: would come again only for bingsoo and if it was my only option in the area. Looks like it's paid parking during the day. The cream in the corn bingsoo was my favorite. It's a shared patio with other businesses, but there seemed to be plenty of space. I went to the cafe around 10am and we were able to walk right up and order with no wait! For my selections I tried the Green Grape Bingsoo and the Biscoff coffee. Two items that I wouldn't traditionally order, but both pleasantly surprised me with how tasty they were. Don't know if I would order bingsoo that early in the morning again, BUT keeping this sweet treat in mind when craving a nice cool afternoon snack. read more

Glad I got to try Floe - Matcha & Bingsoo Cafe and had the Strawberry Matcha and Mango Bingsoo. Overall, both were good, but there are a couple things to keep in mind. The strawberry matcha was smooth and creamy, with a nice matcha flavor, but I wish the strawberry was highlighted more. The matcha definitely overpowered the strawberry, so I was hoping for a stronger fruity flavor. The mango bingsoo was my favorite! The shaved ice was soft and fluffy, and the mango added a nice sweetness. Everything tasted fresh and refreshing. My biggest downside was the portion size for the price. Both felt a little expensive considering the portions were on the smaller side. The flavors were good, but I think the value could be better. A perfect treat for a hot summer day! Seating is plentiful. Interior is clean and cute! Staff was nice and welcoming and even brought our order to our table. We ordered a few different items: - Biscoff Matcha: sooo good! The drink is topped with a Biscoff cookie and crumbs. It mixes well with the matcha and you can taste both flavors equally. I forgot to order it less sweet but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be, which I appreciated - Double Matcha Cloud: very creamy and not overly milky or sweet. The matcha was strong - Mango Bingsoo: the mango was sweet and overall was good! I wasn't a huge fan of the cheesecake bits in it though and think it would probably be better without it - Sweet Corn Bingsoo: we preferred this one over the mango surprisingly! I visited Floe Cafe around afternoon with some friends and overall, we had a really good experience! There were a few things I really enjoyed, along with a couple of areas that could be improved. Parking: Parking is usually validated for the mall where Floe Cafe is located, with up to 2 hours free. When I visited today, we had to use the kiosk to get a parking ticket to enter the parking structure, but we didn't need to validate it when leaving because the exit gate was open. Based on what the worker mentioned, it seems like they may leave the gate open on Saturdays. Ambiance & Environment: The cafe itself isn't very large, but there is a shared outdoor seating area with the neighboring businesses that was really beautiful. Unfortunately, it was too hot today to sit outside, so we stayed indoors. The inside was modern, clean, and had a nice atmosphere for studying, hanging out, or catching up with friends. There was also a photo booth area, which was a fun addition! I believe it was around $10+ to use. My biggest complaint was the temperature. The cafe started feeling pretty warm, and the booth seating was especially hot. After sitting there for about an hour with my friends, I ended up leaving because it became a little too toasty. Hopefully, they can improve the temperature control because otherwise, the environment was great! Service: The service was great! I only interacted with the person who took our order, but he was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. He recommended some of his favorite and popular drinks, which I appreciated. It was a really pleasant interaction. Drinks: We ordered the Iced Banana Matcha, Biscoff Matcha, and Strawberry Ube. The Banana Matcha had a subtle banana flavor and brought out the matcha nicely. I actually thought it'd be sweeter. If you have a sweet tooth, you may want to ask for it sweeter. The matcha itself tasted like they use a good-quality matcha, which I really enjoyed. The Biscoff Matcha was similar in sweetness to the Banana Matcha, but once you got to the Biscoff cream on top, you got that extra sweetness and Biscoff flavor. This was hands down my favorite of the three! The Strawberry Ube was definitely the sweetest. It reminded me of the milk left over after eating a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, but with a unique ube flavor. It was fun and different, although the Biscoff Matcha was still my favorite. Bingsoo: I also tried the Matcha Bingsoo, and I was surprised by how unsweet it was. The earthy matcha flavor was very strong at first, and I enjoyed it with the small rice cakes and red beans on top. However, after eating more of it, I felt like it started lacking flavor. I think it could have benefited from more milk or condensed milk to balance out the strong matcha flavor. Unfortunately, the Matcha Bingsoo was probably the most disappointing part of my visit. That being said, I'm definitely interested in coming back and trying one of their fruit Bingsoos next time! Overall, Floe Cafe has a modern and clean atmosphere, friendly service, and some really unique drinks. My favorite was definitely the Biscoff Matcha.
