So, my first experience here was irritating to say the least. I've had a hard time finding someone who can cut my hair well since we moved here to O.C. last year. I walk in and I end up getting the cocky, skinny dude in back with earrings. He actually does a good job with my hair, but that's not the problem. One of the front guys tells me he's available when I walk in the store. He barely acknowledges me as I walk up after the front guy's cue. He then says hold on so I go back to sit down. He then tells me to come on up, but with a little attitude...no smile and uninterested. As he cuts my hair, he says I should make an appt. next time, so I just say ok. Afterwards, my wife likes my haircut so I decide to give him another chance. Several weeks later, I call and ask for him. This time I schedule my appt and arrive about 5 minutes early. I see him cutting someone else's hair so I sit down and wait. 25 minutes later, he finishes and never acknowledges me. I'm thinking wtf, he tells me to make an appt., but doesn't say anything to me when I get there, and he doesn't keep his end by making me wait 20+ minutes past my appt. He then goes out to smoke. I suck it up and eventually he cuts my hair. Like I said, he actually did a good job on my hair, but if you don't want douchiness, then I'd avoid this place. You don't have to be friendly or even smile to cut my hair, but at least try to be professional when it comes to appointments. read more

Kenny's Barber is the shiz-nittlebam snip-snap-sack. I was bouncing from barber to barber, until I seen my roommate come home faded up tight one day. I mean shaved on the bottom and tight all the way around, exactly what I had been searching for. I asked him about his fade and he said, "Kenny's Barber, bro." I called Kenny and made an appointment, and was not disappointed. I left feeling so fresh and so clean clean, and have been there ever since. It's been going on two years now. You tell him what you want and it's done. Prices are ridiculously cheap. Kenny treats his customers like family, and has two other barbers that can cut you, if you are short on time. Despite booking in advance, I was completely ignored upon arrival. The lack of consideration for scheduled appointments is unacceptable and resulted in a frustrating experience.
