We unfortunately locked ourselves out an hour ago, and called Yes! Locksmith to come to our rescue. We spoke to the dispatcher (who we provided our information to) and were told someone would be at our apartment in roughly 20 minutes. I worked with Ramon to install two locks on my house -- a deadbolt as well as a new front door lock, replacing an old mortise lock. Not only was Ramon incredibly responsive and knowledgeable when it came to choosing the best hardware that would work with our existing door, he was both scrappy and professional. When it comes to replacing old mortise style locks with modern locks, it's not always a smooth process. The lock doesn't always fit and the easy route is to just do a lot of patching // buy a new door. Ramon not only took the time upfront to help select hardware that would work well, he took the time to make sure it was installed with very minimal patching. All in all, I'd work with him again in a heartbeat. He's responsive, creative, and all around great guy. Ramon came and rekeyed five locks I had purchased. One of the locks had the wrong keyway so he spent a long time trying to change the cylinder to match the other locks. Unfortunately the lock had a too-specific design so it didn't quite work, but when I had found the right cylinder several days later, he came back right away and finished everything up. Wow- that whole situation could have been really bad. Locked out of the apartment, phone's about to die, tea kettle is on and about to leave for a 14 hour drive home for Christmas. Thankfully I found YES Locksmith on Yelp. I begged the guy (never got a name) to come quickly since the kettle was screaming and I had read too many Google articles about stove top fires. He was unbelievably quick considering we are neighborhoods apart. Unfortunately, we have a very difficult door to crack. It took him unscrewing the door guard to be able to pull an Oceans 11 break in maneuver, which was pretty cool.
