I called and immediately reached Ramon, who asked me to text him a photo of the door I wanted a replacement lock for. I texted it to him that night, and he gave me a very reasonable cost estimate and was available for the time I wanted a couple days later (today). He showed up a minute early and got straight to work, moving steadily and efficiently. When he was finished, he pointed out a groove he had created to ensure that the lock would be smooth, not sticking. Of course, that's how it is supposed to work, but a more careless person might have thought good enough was good enough. Ramon obviously wanted it to work optimally. The day before, I had asked whether he could make eight sets of the new key and how much that would cost. He said eight copies was no problem and that he throws all copies of the keys in for free.
