Omg unfortunately this wasn't our first time getting locked out. Our door locks automatically and we have a gate key on the same keychain. We had dinner plans and the second we close the door to leave we realize we forgot the keys...Since this happened before recently we weren't too worried..: super annoying but a solvable problem.. We have an amazing dinner and search on yelp for the guy who did it last time because he was really good but we couldn't find him and called YES instead... My mom needed two locks changed and the gate re-keyed. We got quotes from other locksmiths, but they wanted to charge extra labor fees per hour (without an estimate of how much time is needed), a service fee for showing up, and another fee for placing a special order. I called around and found Ramon. He gave me a single quote with no hidden fees and kept me updated on the order. Literally just got let into my apt by an amazing employee from YES Locksmith. I didn't catch his name but he really went above and beyond. He couldn't get my front door to open even with all of his tools (which is actually great, I'm feeling pretty safe right now) so I suggested the fire escape. It's a pretty sketchy fire escape but the guy did it no problem! Long story short, YES Locksmith got to my apt quickly, went above and beyond to make sure I got into the apt, and was friendly. When the lock on our back door broke I called YES and scheduled an appointment for the next day. It was a quick fix and they did an excellent job and even re-keyed the lock to match our front door so we could eliminate a key. BUT, right after they left we realized we had the lock keyed to the front door of the building, not our unit! Oops. We ran out and caught the locksmith and he came back and fixed our error and didn't even charge any extra for it. YES is our go-to locksmith now and we can't recommend them enough! read more

I, too, had a great experience with YES Locksmith and with George, the technician. 1) The estimated time of arrival was accurate and, as promised, George called from 10 minutes away. 2) My lock, which I had not used before, was stubborn, but George pulled out tools and sizes until it opened. A less knowledgeable locksmith would have had to drill it out, I think. 3) Mask worn and social distancing as much as possible. As you can imagine it was very stressful to have a problem with my lock. Ramon came quickly and made the lock much better than even before it was broken.
