    Sliced Linguica

The pizza here is always amazing! We got one sliced pepperoni with mushrooms and one sliced linguica. I ordered delivery completely online, which was really very convenient and so simple. They were out of bone-in wings, so we went with the boneless wing dinner. We chose to have ours with double hand-cut fries instead of the fries and salad, which also included a generous amount of blue cheese dressing for dipping. Unfortunately the dinner isn't pictured here but everything was really tasty, the fries were just a little undercooked but overall the food was hot, fresh and delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!

Famous roast beef? I have hardly any roast beef on my sub and it's burnt to a crisp/chewy texture.

Wow! Great za friendly atmosphere! I was in town for business and had to check this place out. Grabbed the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza and it didn't disappoint. Caribbean Sauce, spicy chicken, onions, red roasted peppers and bacon. The cheese complimented the ingredients tremendously and the Caribbean Sauce was on point. Will likely stop by again!

It's hard for me to be completely unbiased when it comes to Yia Yia's Pizza. I've been going to Yia Yia's for years now and I have probably had everything on their menu at least once. In the process I have developed a fondness for this family owned restaurant that can't be denied. There is no mistaking it, if John and Joanne closed Yia Yia's Pizza I would have a hard time filling the void that this cozy little pizza place has filled for the last couple of years. Now, with that being said I can try to look back and remind myself of what got me to this point. It only took a couple of visits to Yia Yia's for me to realise what makes this place special and that is their astounding attention to quality. Everything from Yia Yia's pizza is fresh and made in house. Even little things like the fresh mushrooms on their pizza (as opposed to the rubbery canned mushrooms that are found at other pizza places) or the fresh Spinach (which is highlighted on their amazing ZORBA pizza) speak volumes for the quality of the product that this quaint little "pizza shack" produces. Their menu is adventurous to say the least. John studies pizzas from all over the world and brings them to his customers with his own special charm. Off-the-wall pizza's like the "Clam Boil" Pizza or the "Coney Island" Hot Dog pizza will satisfy your "sense of adventure" while Pizzas like the "Steak Fajita" and the "Tia Maria" (Linguica, Fries and Hot Peppers) will blow your mind. One thing that I think is very under-rated and hasn't been mentioned here yet are their Gyros! They make the best Gyros around. In fact they make a Gyro Pizza that is one of the most amazing pizza's I've ever had in my life. But don't let my biased review sway you. Go in... Go greek.. and you just might find that you will become as biased as I am. Amazing food from an amazing family and to me.. amazing friends.

    Small Mediterranean pizza - delicious!

I lived a few blocks away from Yia Yia's. Cute little place. Good parking. Lots of exotic stuff. Little off the beaten path but worth it.

The Nook is a really special place. In my opinion, places like Mirasol are extremely overrated…read morecompared to what The Nook offers. The drinks here are outstanding. The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!

A real mixed bag of stuff here at Riccardi's two Sundays ago for lunch…read more We rumbled in about an hour after they opened and overall, the restaurant was wide open in terms of seating. No issues with being seated or with having our drink order taken or house bread being offered right away. Just to skip more or less to the crux of the issue, it was about the details. Baked Penne with Meatballs Cheese Filled Ravioli Baked Lasagna The lasagna was as advertised and there was no real issue there. Good sized portion and the person who ordered that was very satisfied. The ravioli was presented in what I'll call a sauce rationed format. Small-ish swirl of sauce on the middle of the dish while everything not in the middle (give or take 65% of the portion) was raw dog dry. But mercifully, extra sauce was available, just in an odd format. Enter the penne. The penne itself were overcooked and the cheese on top was well beyond baked. More like a hardened helmet. The meatballs were served on a separate plate, and they came to the table, at best lukewarm but were swimming in a Buzzard's Bay of sauce that was dripping over the side of the plate on to the table. At the end of the day, the service was good and the food was sent out fairly fast. But with that said, one thing was more or less cold while its accompaniment was overcooked and another item was basically dry. If there is a next time, maybe we just skip entrees and go with the takeout pizza. That side of the restaurant had a steady flow of people coming in and out and seemed to be where the action was at. Note to file for the future.
