    Chile relleno
    Junior T.

I drive by this place every day for work and finally went to try this place on my lunch break. I walked in and was greeted right away from the cashier, young kid and he was respectful. It was at half capacity and wasn't loud. Nice n cold inside too. I ordered a Chile relleno plate, comes with rice, beans and choice of tortilla. This plate was really good! Probably one of my favorite places to get a chile relleno from. The rice was nice and soft, and the beans were cooked perfect(some places I've been got it too dry). For sit down, I will order a chile relleno everytime. If I am going by real quick, I get a carne asada burrito(carne asada, pico, guac)

We've been wanting to try this place since we moved nearby. It's more of a bigger taco shop versus an actual restaurant. You order your food and pay up front then seat yourself. They will bring you food to you when it's ready. We ordered chips to start off. They have a good variety on their salsa bar. We had the rolled tacos which come with guacamole and shredded cheese, we had beef. Super fresh and delicious. Carne asada torta was huge, meat was very authentic. Chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada with rice and beans! Husband approved as he is very particular with his food and said it tasted great! Everything was fresh, hot, and very authentic. I would choose this place versus the taco shop in Anza anytime. Not that they aren't good but Yiliberto's is way better. Prices are decent and portions are big. We didn't finish our food. Quaint little atmosphere.

A local spot between Temecula and the desert on the long curvy road we all just want to get over. But hey, we need a bite right? And this spot fit the bill perfectly! In a mostly empty strip mall and I'm assuming it's run by a really hard working local family.... It's a great spot for a break and a bite. My chicken tacos were perfect as well as the chips and salsa. All fresh and served with a huge smile! I love these places! Just like everyone that walked out said.... "See you soon!" I agree!

Just moved to Anza and I've been seeing this place on my way home so I stopped by and got a California burrito. It was good and the staff was friendly too, the salsa bar is a plus, and the guacamole salsa was fire too

How do you give a hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint a 5? That's a hard call and it better be OMG good. Yilberto's isn't write-home good, but it's worth a visit. It was only me, so I ordered the carne asada plate. Beans, rice and asada were similar to what I've had at dozens of other places, served with some meaty corn tortillas. The best thing was the medium salsas (both the red and the green), which had some lingering heat. Also liked the homemade carrots, though one was a bit mushy. I'll likely be back at some point and will check out the flour tortillas, the chips and salsa and perhaps a taco. But for now, 4 stars for some decent food, friendly service and a good view of the valley and surrounding hills.

They have like 4 kinds of Wagyu burgers ($20) and various sandwiches and a few entrees. As locals we like to come for their occasional specials (prime rib Saturday!). Once we got takeout and the white fish I got had a huge worm in it (not that uncommon for fish but, you know, not exactly what you wanna see) but the manager was appropriately horrified, refunded us, and said he changed suppliers. The other thing is it is smoky from the casino so if that bothers you I'd take it into consideration.

We chose the Robinwood Grill -- some reviews were mixed, but we decided to give it a try. After being seated, our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. When he returned, we ordered the club sandwich with fries and mentioned we were splitting it. To our surprise and appreciation, when the food came out, it had already been split and plated separately -- a nice touch! The sandwich overall was good, but I have to knock off a star for the tomato. It was the hard top slice of the tomato, which really shouldn't have made it onto the sandwich. It's something the cook should've caught -- just grab a better slice. While we were eating, we noticed the tables around us getting their food, and everything looked fantastic. One group had the fish tacos (three generous tacos per plate), another had steak and cheese, someone else got fish and chips with a large portion, and one person had a great-looking burger. Overall, we were satisfied with the meal, and if we're in the area again, we'd definitely consider coming back.

We couldn't go without ordering the Brussels sprouts and it had a twist with ponzu sauce and pineapple. Definitely a different take and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste. We got lucky*) Server was amazing Food expediter was super nice Food was delicious Elegant, fine dining experience Music was my mountain playlist (and not too loud) View of mountains for me. View of architecture for my wife. PARKING: Parking can be difficult in the small lot, but there's parking along the street too. INSIDE: It was perfect weather. 68ºF at 6pm after a warm day. They have "indoor/patio" style seating which may be difficult for some to access by multiple steps. We were seated at the top, a table away from the music, along the window side. They have heat lamps - but temps were perfect (lots of people and hot food warmed everyone up). I wanted to walk around the restaurant. The tiered architecture is interesting. FOOD: High End Vegan! Yes - I'm guilty of wanting to give them 5 stars just looking at their vegan menu. (And omnivore selection) Yes - I appreciate the care that it takes to prepare a plate. BUT This food was just delicious by itself. Even in a cardboard box, this food would've been amazing. VEGAN "cheese" appetizer (great for 2-3 people) Nut cheese was warm and tangy. This is NOT just cashews and nooch in a blender. It is spiced with something that brings a little heat. *you will want to lick the bowl. PRO TIP: The welcome bread with ... oh shit.... WELCOME BREAD / Garlic Olive Oil This crusty bread served with microplaned garlic + olive oil is fantastic. Garlic Fiend? You're gonna love this. Not a fan of garlic? What's wrong with you?! I mean... just serve from the oil side. Save some bread for your vegan cheese.... VEGAN CHEESE (cont.) Order the gluten free bread (a little more like Uti's toasted dinner roll) with your vegan cheese app. Omnivores at your table will be surprised how well this vegan cheese and wine pair with each other. TROUT I think my wife got the trout. She loved it. Light and delicate. VEGAN KIMCHI TOFU I've had kimchi. I've had tofu. We all have. This was prepared on a bed of roasty veg that was a great match to the salty kimchi. I don't know if there was a marinade preparation (sesame paste?) with the tofu, or it was made locally, or both, but this firm tofu was excellent. Sweet. Nutty. Salty. Fresh tasting and filling. The vegan menu here isn't just an "alternate version" of an omnivore dish. It is its own thing. DESSERT MISTAKE = not getting it. We thought there would be dessert in town, but we got out late. Town had closed. MUSIC Tonight's music was a pair of musicians playing CS&N, Neil Young, Bob Seger... acoustic session: Guitar, Violin, Mandolin. Quiet & sentimental performance was a perfect accompaniment to a long hike day. THERE ARE 1-STAR REVIEWS of this place. They have their reasons. I've only been here once. But I experienced NONE of the things they've mentioned. Moreover, we experienced even better than what other 5-star reviews suggested. This is an elegant spot, framed by a perfect day in Idyllwild. If I come back to the town, I will want to try other restaurants, but I'll definitely come back here. Not *just* because of their vegan options, but definitely *for* their vegan options.
