This is one of the only restaurants in town and they used to have a bigger menu just like 5 months ago but they narrowed it down quite a bit, which seems to have made service more efficient. They have like 4 kinds of Wagyu burgers ($20) and various sandwiches and a few entrees. As locals we like to come for their occasional specials (prime rib Saturday!). Once we got takeout and the white fish I got had a huge worm in it (not that uncommon for fish but, you know, not exactly what you wanna see) but the manager was appropriately horrified, refunded us, and said he changed suppliers. The food has always been diner-style quality. Nothing special but nothing terrible, with exception of soggy and undercooked fish and chips every now and then. The service does lack at times, but it really depends on who the server is. What keeps us away now is the horrific cigaret smoke smell. They could easily put of sliding door between the restaurant and the casino. read more

Solid Lunch Stop While Charging the Car My wife and I stopped in at the casino to charge our car and grab a quick bite to eat. We chose the Robinwood Grill -- some reviews were mixed, but we decided to give it a try. After being seated, our server greeted us promptly and took our drink order. When he returned, we ordered the club sandwich with fries and mentioned we were splitting it. To our surprise and appreciation, when the food came out, it had already been split and plated separately -- a nice touch! The sandwich overall was good, but I have to knock off a star for the tomato. It was the hard top slice of the tomato, which really shouldn't have made it onto the sandwich. It's something the cook should've caught -- just grab a better slice. While we were eating, we noticed the tables around us getting their food, and everything looked fantastic. One group had the fish tacos (three generous tacos per plate), another had steak and cheese, someone else got fish and chips with a large portion, and one person had a great-looking burger. Overall, we were satisfied with the meal, and if we're in the area again, we'd definitely consider coming back. read more

Food is good Portion size is questionable, different portions on different days based on who's working. If you call to make a comment on the service they will tell you a manager will get back to you only to never give you a call back. Severely SEVERELY understaffed I'm used to waiting 10-30 minutes just to pick up a to go order WARNING they are infamous at getting pick up orders wrong so make sure to double check you got everything you ordered before getting home and realizing they got it completely wrong. Overall food is good but the management/staff/wait service is terribly overworked and under staffed. I noticed one waiter rushing to do everything while everyone else mosied along. Pretty disappointed because this is one of the only spots close to town that you can get a decent bite. Hope this helps. EDIT: ALSO BEWARE fellow customers have no patience and will cut you in line if you choose to sit down to wait so make sure to be vocal and let them know that you are in line waiting and just chose to sit down because the service here is practically nonexistent. I don't know how or who they've been paying to get good reviews but do not go to this restaurant you will spend half your day waiting for your food your food will not be of any good quality the meat will be tough they used to be a dynamite place to go and eat and used to have a buffet now they don't because they don't care about you they only have one or two waitresses working and that's it you will wait a long time for anything and everything you will be treated like you don't matter by everyone and the staff is way overworked and way underpaid go somewhere else if you know anybody that lives in Anza ask them go somewhere else ! This small restaurant is a nice addition to the community with a decent menu, most items taste good, and the service is adequate most of the time. We have eaten in the restaurant and ordered take out over a dozen times and continue to come back because of the consistency of quality. Of special note are the Pozole and the Waygu Burgers. Service is mostly friendly when not super busy. Only negative would be the high prices, but seems to be par for the course for all restaurants these days. Ribbonwood Grill is a safe bet. read more

Always have a wonderful meal here. From wings, hamburgers, breakfasts, to the fish basket. They never disappoint! For Valentine's, they had a lobster pot pie that was stuffed with claw meat. It was amazing! This is the first time staying at the hotel and it is awesome! Please don't say that maybe I do not travel enough. I travel weekly and will put any of my travel profiles any day of the week up against the snobs from other posts. This hotel, casino, and restaurant are quaint and focus on customer service and quality. My PSA to the haters from any other comments is that Vegas is 4 hours down the road. Happy trails. read more

On our trip down the mountain we decided to stop and eat at the Ribbonwood grill. We were promptly seated by the hostess, who then took our drink order. The restaurant is quaint but serves it purpose in this casino. Our server came over and introduced himself as Brennan. He was friendly and efficient. My husband ordered the grilled cheese on sourdough bread, the cheese being cheddar, along with a side of tots. I ordered the avocado Cobb salad with ranch on the side. The restaurant was not busy. Ten minutes later my salad came out first. Upon receiving my salad I noticed that it was the core of the iceberg lettuce ( about 1/4 of a quarter of the head) I was aware it would be a wedge salad but not sliver of iceberg. The salad was cold and crisp to the bite. The bacon was thick with a crunchy smoky flavor. The blue cheese crumbles were soft and creamy as it embraced my taste buds. The grape tomatoes were cut in halves for the daintier mouths. They were a mixture of bursts of sweetness on a spring day with a hint of acidity like a summer afternoon in the south. The turkey was a full diced cut in the corner of my plate. The crisp iceberg lettuce leaves laid on my plate as though it was a blanket for the individual ingredients. Each had it own place next to the sliver of iceberg wedge. The firm and young matchstick carrots were nestled under the over cooked hard boiled egg that was generously sliced over the diced turkey. My salad had about 5 slices of a firm yet buttery Hass avocado on top next to the 4 diagonally cut and placed cucumber coin. The salad was beautiful but lacking the iceberg lettuce. Eight minutes late my husband received his meal. As for my husband's grilled cheese sandwich, the bread was not so flavorful. It's residual after taste was of the grill. There was no butter used to toast the bread on the grilled cheeseas it would have came with a glistening shine as it would have arrived to the table. Don't get me wrong it was beautifully toasted but lacked flavored on the toasted bread. As for the cheddar, it was not cheesey. If you are craving for minimal amount of cheese this sandwich is for you. When you pulled it apart one expects cheese to be oozing of gooey goodness. This wasn't the case. The tater tots were perfectly fried in the deep fat fryer. Many may say how can you screw up a tater tot?? Well, you can by over frying or leaving it under the heat lamp too long or not salting the item. Over all service was good, food was good. I would come again and try them once more. Disgusting. This place was part of a nightmare trip to Cahuillo Casino. First night, several members of our group got severe diarrhea from the food here. There was one amazing server who tried her best to make up for the inept manager and horrifying food. The manager with an aweful demeanor, stands around while the other staff work, leaving people waiting for a table for no reason. Even the other staff there were miffed at the ineptitude of the manager. The food tasted like frozen food heated in the microwave (and that's being kind). I highly recommend making other plans and avoiding this smoke filled casino, the hotel that gave away our rooms and had us sleeping on the floor, and this restaurant that gave us food poisoning! read more
