Came here after seeing the location while taking a tour of Seattle. Close to where I was staying and a nice open massage spa. Called initially to make an appointment and the women who answered spoke excellent English. Made appointment for later in the day. Arrived early and was taken right away. Opted for a 90 minute massage which I found out was $100. Great deal and great massage! Though my masseuse didn't speak or understand English very well, she gave an excellent massage and covered all areas and had advanced knowledge of massage techniques and pressure points. Though I left not completely out of pain, I feel a heck of a lot better than I did before I walked in. Great place, very personable, nice and clean facility and very comfortable. It doesn't have the Asian massage feel to it, but I was offered a bit more than a traditional massage. Highly recommend a visit if you are in pain, or just need a relaxing massage. read more

What the actual F. This is a shady place. They prefer cash only, charge $3 extra over card payment. $70 for an hour massage. The massage was super terrible. Asks for tip in advance for services I didn't want. I said I just want a massage but she kept on pursuing to provide a happy ending and constantly asked for $150 tip. After 10 mins of trying to convince her to just continue with the body message I eventually left mid way the 1 hr massage, to which she shameless asked for a tip again. Normally I'd give a 30% tip for the massage but haven't ever experienced this kind of forced tipping situation. I guess I didn't realize it wasn't a massage place. Never coming back here. I was lucky enough to spot this place as I was walking along the canal. I'm sure glad I gave the place a try! Very professional and welcoming, they encourage you to slow down and remember there's no rush. Abby helped work out a lot of tension around my spine, I felt noticeable more relaxed immediately after I stood up. I will be coming back soon! read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. I came in for a 90 minute massage and was led to a room in the back of the house. The first thing the woman said as we entered the room was "90 minutes is $100" and held out her hand. I said no problem and agreed to the price, thinking she was simply confirming it at the onset of the massage. But nope, she told me I had to pay right away. That in itself was odd...but I realized it didn't matter whether I paid before or after and handed her my credit card. She sighed and asked if I had cash. No, I didn't - so she told me they'll be charging another $5 on top. Again...it's not something I mind but her delivery made me uncomfortable. Not an ideal start to a "relaxing" massage experience. But it gets way worse. She then asks how much I'll tip. I was taken aback - and told her "I'll decide at the end of the massage." She insisted on knowing now so she didn't have to charge my card twice. Before I could get another word in she explained how she'll be working on my body for 90 minutes and deserves $60 at least. I was shocked at how abrasive and forceful she was being. I told her I'd tip at the end and she kept pushing for me to agree to $60. Finally she relented and glared at me as I stripped down and got on the table...then the massage started, awkward and uncomfortable as hell in the beginning but somehow even weirder as it went on. What was supposed to be a deep tissue massage quickly became a disturbing experience. I laid in confusion and disgust as she worked on my butt, inner thighs, and the surrounding area in an incredibly inappropriate way. And never before have I had a masseuse gently glide their fingertips all over my body in a clearly sensual manner. Finally the massage ended. I got changed and the woman immediately starts pestering me for a $60 tip. I agreed to a generous tip - far more than she deserved yet less than $60. In frustration she told me it'd be another $5 additional charge and stomped away. When she returned my card I couldn't wait to get the %#$! out of there. In conclusion, one star. If I could rate this business outside of Yelp's spectrum it'd be zero stars and a report to the authorities. I'm not convinced I won't do the latter. read more

I first had my spa here back last year with my mom and enjoyed it. Now I just can't get a darn appointment. Every time I call the young lady says "let me check if we have appointment" comes back in less then 3 secs and says "no appointment" not even offering another day we could setup. Also come to think of it. They did keep pressuring me and my mom to tip them big the last time I went there. I mean $80 for a 60min massage that felt like 45min. I think not. This little place is a hidden gem. Today was my 5th visit. The first 3 times the 60 minute session turned into at least 80 or 90 minutes - with no request for "buying" more time. First time in a long time I've actually gotten a massage that wasn't short changed - let along extended. Tonight, Lisa spent 60 minutes. Though small, she knows where to put the pressure. Fantastic find! My shoulder was killing me after sleeping on it wrong, so I was scrambling to find a massage place with some last minute availability. They were very accommodating & my girl was brutally attentive to the area (in the BEST way possible). Walked out of there feeling brand new. Will be visiting again. read more

I'm giving one star because I don't think these woman are trained, and if they are it has got to be the worst massage training I have ever experienced as I left feeling worse. I received a 90 minute massage that was more like 70 minutes because the woman kept stopping to either check her phone or do something (I couldn't tell completely as I was face down) and also to fix the CD player that kept skipping throughout the entire massage. Furthermore, the room was cold and had a overwhelming smell of incense; so if you are sensitive to smell absolutely avoid this place. When the "massage" was over I went to pay the $90 bill and was told she would add in the tip, but I said no just the massage amount. She looked confused and told me it would be more money if I didn't give her a tip. I told her a tip is not required but rather given for good service and I did not receive that. She went to the back room and brought out her boss who I explained the same thing to, only to have them start speaking in their native language for a few minutes before huffing off. I made sure I watched the women run just the $90 and signed off, but I will definitely be checking my bank statement in the next few days to see if they try and add more money onto the tab. I know tipping is generally something we all do, but on occasion when service is as bad as this, I don't feel obligated to give extra money. read more

This is a prostitution massage spa! THIS IS MY FIRST YELP REVEIW AND I WAS WAITING FOR AN EXPERIENCE THIS BAD TO PROMPT ME TO WRITE SOMETHING. I came into this massage parlor thinking I could get a deep tissue massage... a real one. I spoke with some lady over the phone and she assured me that they know what I was talking about. I get there around 11am-- No one is in the waiting room. Just me and the masseuse who greeted me. I was taken to my room, got stripped and got under a sheet. The room was cozy. I had booked an hour long massage thinking I was going to get some serious knots taken care of, because, again, I was told they knew what exactly what a deep tissue massage meant... turns out they did not. I had to repeatedly ask the lady to press harder, had to point to exactly where I was feeling pain, I had to show her how I wanted the massage pressure to be. I had to repeat this 4x within a 60 min session. My god. I had an awful awful massage. I knew I was in the wrong place when my masseuse lady GOT ON TOP OF ME an began STRADDLING me in order to give me a massage. I was like "wtf". She then later moved to massage my butt for way too long I thought. I told her I only wanted focus on my neck and upper back. I felt like I was talking to a wall honestly. While the lady was sweet, she didn't know what the hell I was saying. Towards the end, the lady asked me if there was anything else I wanted her to do, and I thought that was a strange thing to offer at the end... Anyways. Moving on, after I had my 60 min wasted, I went outside to the waiting room to pay for my visit. I didn't feel that the session was worth $60. I tipped $10 because I'm a good person, not because she necessarily deserved it. My session ended at 12pm-- The waiting room was FULL of men waiting. I instantly knew why my massage was so shitty--because that's not their main focus. It made sense to me why there was only Thai ladies working there, why the windows were so heavily covered. I left in such a bad mood. My hard earned money wasted on a shitty massage. Then this morning, I found an article about a prostitution ring that got exposed through several of these Asian massage parlors in Seattle on the SeattleTimes. I returned again for a massage, the one who attended me was in a hurry and nervous, I arrived relaxed and left in a hurry, I did not feel comfortable. Besides, they demand a tip from you (a previous occasion the masseuse insulted me in Chinese because I told her that I had liked the massage). the place is super clean and cozy, the presentation of the ladies excellent .... but I do not recommend it for a comfortable and relaxed massage read more

This tucked away quaint little gem of a spa is exactly what we were looking for. Cozy and comfortable with the sweetest masseuses you could ask for. But DON'T underestimate their strength. Gentle but mighty for sure! They were extremely informative and mindful of your comfort level and making sure your are fully relaxed. We will DEFINITELY be returning. read more

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. It was the most unprofessional spa I have ever been to. I made an appointment for a couples massage. My partner and I were shown to a room told to get undressed and they would be back. Literally 5 seconds later she didn't even knock, just walked in while we were half undressed and stood and watched us finish undressing. We got on the bed, they began the massage which was just ok..they were just starting..had the sheets over our bodies while they massaged through the sheets. 15 min into our massage the lady handed me the phone and said it was her boss. She told me that they had double booked and we needed to leave. She said we wouldn't be charged for the 15 min. She didn't offer to reschedule or try to accommodate for the fact they had ruined our experience. We got dressed and rushed out of the room. While we were walking out the woman who did my massage had the audacity to ask if my partner and I would tip her and the other women for the 15 minutes. I am a pretty fair person but I Dont have one good thing to say about this place and the people. Horrible customer service, rude, impatient, unapologetic. Yili is one of my favorite spas. They are a few dollars more than competing spas but the service has always been very good. I have been here for couples massage, they have a very nice couples room, and on my own. A massage is only as good as the therapist but I have had almost only good experiences here, maybe one or two mediocre, and none bad. If you get a massage that you like, get the therapist's name, and ask for her by name and make an appointment next time. This is a high turnover business but I have noticed that the therapists who weren't very good didn't last very long and the ones who were good were around for quite a while. If you just walk in you will get whoever is available, and chances are the better therapists are busy with pre-arranged appointments. I will walk in until I find someone I like and then request them in future appointments. Yili is right on the bike path and I like that I can stop here on my bike when the weather is nice. They let me park my bike inside for security when I do that. read more

Grateful that they were able to take a "walk in." I called 40min prior to showing up and they said it was ok. I got there and waited 10-15min while a woman and another woman debated about something. Then we were directed into a room where my boyfriend and I were asked to get ready by taking off clothes and get under the blankets. One woman came in, without knocking, and began to say she would start on one of us while the other waited for a different masseuse. My boyfriend told me to go first so, I said ok. She applied minimal pressure, had my butt out while she massaged my legs, massaged my butt for far too long, and really only massaged my back and head. I was very uncomfortable and pulled the blanket down to cover my butt. The masseuses also insisted on holding a conversation with the other masseuse in the room. When she finished, she handed me my clothes and left, all while my boyfriend was still in his massage since he started after me. To conclude this already irritable experience, after I paid for the couples massage, the woman prompted for a tip. I handed her $10; ($5/each masseuse). She took a huge exhale, walked away from me like a child throwing a fit, then asked another woman to escort me and my boyfriend out. Thank you for taking the effort to massage me but also, you pretty much had me lay in discomfort while you chatted with the other masseuse, sat next to me, and rubbed my back.
