Spicy salmon hand roll and salmon skin hand roll

I went there for lunch on a weekday and they were quite busy. They accommodated my gluten free order well. I ordered two hand rolls (spicy salmon and salmon skin) and the portions were good considering there wasn't much rice. I also received some gluten free soy sauce on the side.

Don't let the simple atmosphere fool you. Service is fantastic, sashimi (yellow tail) melts like butter, and the rolls are huge! Presentation is top notch! Tataki was spot on!

    Party roll party platter

My friends and I decided to grab a party platter of sushi from Yimo to share and catch up one day. Service was friendly, but took longer than expected. We ended up taking the platter to go, but on a quick glance the inside of the restaurant was clean and very reminiscent of other sushi restaurants. The food itself was pretty good, but we did feel that it could have looked a little fresher. The variety in the platter was good, and it mostly focused on more "basic" rolls as opposed to special rolls. I wish there was an option to customize the platter a bit, as we would have gladly paid a little extra for more special rolls, but we were told this was not possible on the day we visited. Overall, Yimo is a solid spot for sushi to satisfy a craving.

Yimo is a cool spot for sushi. Good service and pretty good sushi that was prepared quickly. It's local to my office so I'll definitely stop in again. There was cool music being played the entire time as well. Recommended

Yimo is my family's go to place for sushi for years now. The sushi seems very fresh and the teriyaki salmon is always cooked perfectly. They are quick with the to go orders that the food is still pretty warm when I get home. The inside dining is very cozy given the small area they have to work with.

Wow... and when I say "wow" to start off a review, it's usually a great thing. Not tonight. Don't get me wrong... it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't something that would survive in NYC, and since I'm a damned snob from NYC, that's my perspective. I did like the Japanese music playing here. And they don't use MSG (according to management, but we'll know for sure in the morning if my step-mom blows up like a blow fish). I also liked the server, who I felt might be management or ownership. Unfortunately, the place has a small a/C unit for the dining room (it feels like a humid 78F in here), and as you can see from a photo, the seating is pretty cramped. The miso soup tastes like someone added some fake miso and some sugar to some hot water. Shumai was so/so, but my pops says they're out of a bag, not homemade. Shrimp Tempura is supposed to be 3 shrimp and 4 pcs vegetable tempura. I asked for 4 shrimp with no veggies and they did so. But the shrimp is somewhat overcooked and the batter was hard, and even with the tempura sauce, the whole thing was basically tasteless. My daughter's Avocado Salad was served without any sauce, so she was a little freaked out till we discovered that they simply forgot it. Once she got it, she found out that it was pretty lame. Maybe they *should* use MSG. Yikes. My Salmon Avocado roll was a bit firm (the Avocado and rice), and the rice was cool, but it was ok. My wife liked her special sushi roll a lot (yellowtail, salmon, topped with Avocado and spicy mayo). I ordered a yellowtail scallion hand roll and got a completely different kind of hand roll, but it was pretty decent, whatever it was. Step-mom got a California roll with brown rice, found it bad with their soy sauce, asked for eel sauce, they charged $1 for it, and she complained to us for an hour. The free slices of orange that they served with the check was very good (what a relief). Place seems very popular! Have you guys ever been to NYC?

One of the best sushi spots I have ever tried! The service was so great. Menu has quite a few options at what I consider pretty affordable. Definitely coming back!

Just your average sushi place located in a strip mall. If you check in with Yelp, you receive a complimentary edamame appetizer. It's quite small inside with a sushi bar in the rear. We were seated right away and received our drinks. We ordered the veggie pad thai, Japanese fried rice, salmon rolls, volcano roll, and fire island roll. The pad thai lacked flavor and was very bland. It was pretty much the same with the Japanese fried rice. Definitely would not recommend either. Both sushi rolls pretty much tasted the same. All in all, nothing special stuck out about this place. Place was clean and by the time we left, the place started filling up. Also, they do have ramen here as well. Have yet to try it though.

We were happy with our meal here recently. The prices comparatively on their sushi and bento boxes are better than most Japanese places. The same menu prices are applicable for lunch and dinner. With a Yelp check-in, we also received a free edamame appetizer. We both went with the Bento boxes, because the price could not be beat for about $11-12/person for dinner. Most other establishment charge twice as much for a dinner bento box. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bento box. I've certainly had better chicken teriyaki preparations, but for the price I really can't complain. The portion size was albeit a little smaller, but it was sufficient for our needs. The sushi was also good.

The whole cucumber they put in my to go roll to make it look bigger?

It was ok. The roll tasted good and very fresh but disappointed to get it so tiny with a whole cucumber inside.

The best sushi in the region! Only been in the area (15 min away) for 3 years and had not tried Yimo yet. In my 50+ years I have had sushi at no less than 40 locations and without a doubt, Yimo ranks at the top of the list. The food was prepared and present excellently and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend Yimo, especially if you are a fan of sushi. This has become my location of choice for sushi, will definitely be back!

Is there bubble tea good and do they have dessert? Also could you do order from yelp ? Or if the more order could we build point toward rewards?...what do you think?

I have heard that the bubble tea is really good. They also have green tea and vanilla ice cream. I am not sure about other desserts.

That sadly was the best part of the night. We ordered; 8 AYCE and 2 ordered ala carte. My wife's vegetarian and doesn't eat much and my mom doesn't eat raw sushi and ordered the teriyaki shrimp. 1. The service is horrible. We waited 20mins to get our first appetizers. The waitress just dropped off plates and didn't explain what they were. My mom noticed the table next to us ordered what she got and a few minutes later, the waitress asked if she received her entree, which she replied no, and then she went to the table next to us and grabbed their plate and brought it back to the kitchen. We assume they reheated and replated the dish because it was way overcooked. 2. Long wait. Some items didn't arrived after over an hour and we asked about them multiple times. As we were ordering our 2nd round, we just reordered them. We got our waters refilled often but they never checked in to see if we were receiving our food or if we wanted to order more. Like they didn't ask one time. 3. Lost in translation. My parents are immigrants, so I am pretty understanding but the waitress didn't understand much of what I was saying and when I asked for extra ginger while pointing at it she looked very confused. I also asked her what a few items were when she brought them, and she didn't respond. 4. 10% coupon: don't bother trying to use the 10% off coupon from their own website. When we asked for the check, I showed her the coupon and she looked confused like I made it up and I let her know it was from their website under "coupons". She went to the back to ask about it and returned to say it was for online orders only. I mentioned that the coupon doesn't have any fine print except it can't be used with any other offers, and she didn't try to help at all which was frustrating. At the end of the day, it was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had. The food quality was ok except for my mom getting a reheated meal. But the service was terrible. It sucks to have to wait so long for food and things coming out randomly and my son and wife waiting over an hour for their items while others are pretty much done. Save yourself the aggravation and try something else.

That is what you get when you get great eats at Terakawa Ramen. As you enter, you'll notice the wall murals with the chefs on one side and the opposite wall has anime customers slurping their ramen. Yes, it's perfectly fine to make those loud slurping noises to show your appreciation for a great bowl of ramen. Here's what was ordered: - Signature Terakawa Ramen - 4.5/5 stars Boasted of rich, lovingly homemade pork bone soup with a good amount of sliced roast pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, ginger, scallions, and a jammy egg. The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else. I was told the have two locations: Philadelphia and the one we're dining at, Princeton Junction, NJ. Both locations serve homemade recipes from the Kumamoto region of Japan. If ramen is your love language, this place will absolutely speak to your soul.
