    Consumers enjoying ramen mural.

Slurp, slurp -- ahhhhhh. What's happiness? Happiness is a bowl of ramen where, when you close your eyes, your soul and tastebuds meet in Nirvana. That is what you get when you get great eats at Terakawa Ramen. As you enter, you'll notice the wall murals with the chefs on one side and the opposite wall has anime customers slurping their ramen. Yes, it's perfectly fine to make those loud slurping noises to show your appreciation for a great bowl of ramen. Here's what was ordered: - Signature Terakawa Ramen - 4.5/5 stars Boasted of rich, lovingly homemade pork bone soup with a good amount of sliced roast pork, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, ginger, scallions, and a jammy egg. The straight thin noodles were al dente. They maintained their texture in the broth, brilliantly. The broth was deep and flavorful. - Pork belly Donburi - 4.5/5 stars The juicy tender pork belly was plentiful, sliced perfectly as their we're not too thick nor paper thin. Their flavor was rich, savory with a balance of sweetness from the soy dashi sauce. Elegantly layered in top of a humongous bowl of seasoned rice, along with a sprinkle of scallions, pickled radishes, and sesame seeds. The photo on their menu does not do it justice. I would have loved a jammy egg to be included to bring the dish to the next level. - Gyoza - 3.5/5 stars 5 pieces of Pan-fried gyoza dumplings with their dumpling sauce. I would prefer them to have been fried a bit more. The balance between their pork and cabbage was even. They were delightfully light in both taste and texture. The service was very good. Both Willie, the owner, and a charming waiter named Sung served us. Sung kept coming over checking in to attest our cups were full, and if we needed anything else. I was told the have two locations: Philadelphia and the one we're dining at, Princeton Junction, NJ. Both locations serve homemade recipes from the Kumamoto region of Japan. If ramen is your love language, this place will absolutely speak to your soul.

Good ramen at a reasonable price. The broth is flavorful albeit somewhat too greasy. The meat is well cooked and you can adjust noodle firmness which is unique. Portion sizes are quite large as well. The chicken karage app we ordered was only okay. The weekends get busy so there could be a wait. The restaurant isn't that large. One perk is that it's next to a large korean supermarket. Service is fast and friendly.

Definitely get the spicy ramen. Absolutely worth it .. the portion sizes are hefty and the pork is sooo tender .. would definitely go back.

    - Service: Fast and friendly staff. - Ambiance: Nice and clean. - Food: Always a decent choice when it comes to ramen! I've tried most of the ramen here and everything is delicious. Flavor tends to lean on salty side, so I'd ask for less salty the next time. Price is around $15-$18 a bowl. Chicken karaage is also pretty good. The restaurant is in a strip mall so plenty of parking space.

LOVE this place! My go-to ramen place! I've had all of their ramen and every single one is delicious! The service is great and fast. The food comes out fresh. Very chill and enjoyable. My go to ramen is the Mayu Ramen. The price is also great as the portions are huge! Highly recommend their appetizers especially the takoyaki and pork bun!

You can order add on for 4 bucks. This one is fried chicken with curry sauce over rice.

The place is clean, spacious. This place seems very popular so either call to reserve seats or knowing there will be a line to get seated. We waited longer than expected. We ordered a rice ball, burned garlic oil char su Ramen and their signature ramen. You can place your order in low sodium as well which is a nice option. The noodles was good, soup base is more greasy than I would like. My bowl comes with 3 slices of meat but all 3 pieces are extremely fatty. Maybe 2% meat and the rest is all fat. It is not edible to me. My friends bowls got less fatty meat which they were ok with it. My stomach was not feeling good for a couple of hours after eating. Just too fatty for me. Fried chicken was ok, not the best, kind of dry. Octopus balls were ok, outside is not crunchy enough, the Octopus inside is a very very small piece. Overall, a bit disappointed.

Our goto place to eat pork curry Donkatsu. The salad was fresh, pork cutlet was crispy and the curry sauce tasted delicious!

Best ramen in town! I got the signature ramen and karaage, both were delicious. You can also customize the soup saltiness and noodle firmness. Very quick service and cozy ambiance with ample seating. There's also tons of parking. Definitely recommend!

Best ramen I've had! I absolutely loved that you chose the saltiness of the soup and texture of the noodles. Any time I've had ramen on the past it's been so soft and over cooked, so I've just steered clear of ordering it cause I'm always disappointed. This place has change my point of view! I got the Spicy Ramen. It was so flavorful, fresh and hot. The meat was tender and the broth had so many layers of flavor to it had a rich smell of crab with the depth and umami of a chicken and fatty richness of pork. Appetizers were also great, everything was super hot and fresh. Service was a 10/10. Highly recommend this place!!!

It seemed very busy when we got there but they worked quick to get us in and it wasn't a long wait. Food was totally worth it my boyfriend loved it. I got ramen which was good but I honestly liked his better. He got pork katsu curry and it was so good I was jealous, couldn't get a good picture of that one before we devoured it. We could definitely come back!

tldr popular (philly) local ramen spot serving up speciality ramens and solid rice plates spicy ramen (5/5) my favorite nj ramen is their spicy ramen that is made with an amazing seafood and pork broth, 3 pieces of big pork belly, kimchi, jammy marinated egg, and other plentiful toppings!! it's just got the right amount of spicy and umami flavor - not too heavy with the seafood base but also got a lot of fun textures with the toppings, noodles are perfectly bouncy croquette (3.5/5) we also ordered a potato croquette that had a great crunchy exterior but wish it was hotter and had two since it only came with one split croquette curry katsu chicken (3.75/5) japanese potato/carrot curry with a side salad and chicken was a bit tough - feels like the curry flavor can have more depth but it's a pretty big serving service was not bad! they were a bit slow but it was also because they were busy and the restaurant is very clean and spacious - good for small groups 3-5 people food 4/5 (spicy ramen is 5/5) service 3.5/5 ambiance 4/4 value 4/5

The broth was rich and creamy and the noodles were delicious! It was just slightly too salty to me, now it made sense why the waiter asked if we wanted regular salt or less salt for the broth. Overall flavorful and filling!

Once again, % home run. We love the dishes we select as they are consistent time and time again. This time Willy took great care of us l, it's like Royalty between Willy and Joey. Started off with the pork gyoza, perfectly made, then we devoured the Takoyaki, my favorite appetizer. We shared the Mayu Ramen and added additional pork and shrimp tempora. Was excellent.

Ask the Community - Terakawa Ramen

    Is this a BYOB establishment?

No alcoholic drinks for purchase, I believe you can BYOB.

    Can you make reservations?

    Yes

Do you have rice or gluten free ramen?

    No, they don't.

Does the phone number work? I called a few times and it has been busy for the past hour.

Yes, they are just very busy

Do you have gluten-free noodle options?

No, as far as their menu says its only wheat and egg noodles. They do have rice bowls though.

I've been to Terekawa a few times and there always seems to be confusion on what is vegan. Can someone please confirm what noodles and other menu items are definitely vegan? (Despite answer below there is no vegan section on the menu)

There should be no confusion as there's a specific section on their menu listing the vegan options

    Do they have vegetarian dishes?

Yes, they have a vegetarian ramen that you can get with a miso or shoyu base. For appetizers, there is edamame, seaweed salad and potato croquettes.

In fact, when we finished our dinner and left, there were people waiting for tables. The food was good and yes it's authentic but it's pricey for what it is. I ordered the Lanzhou noodles. It's good but the broth could have been more flavorful. It was a little watered down. The beef in the broth was delicious though. It's sliced beef but it tasted like short ribs. It's tender and meaty.
