I'm glad I found this place! Looked up for some sushi in the area and found them! It's a small family run business and the family is very kind! Their sushi tastes delicious and I even enjoy the buttery salmon sashimi. I second the yellowtail as well! I recommend their pho too! The broth is rich and they give a good amount of vegetables alongside it. So far I really like the salmon lemon roll except I substitute mine with crab meat. I have to vouch for the garlic edamame. It is the best edamame in town! They cook it to perfection Please give this place a try if you're reading the reviews wondering if you should give it a shot.

JJ Sushi & Pho has been my GO TO sushi spot once I've found out about them. It's a family owned business and they take pride in what they do! Their service is out of this world, they are so kind & fun but also very attentive to detail / presentation and QUALITY ! Their rolls are HUGE compared to other places I've been to and the freshness of their dishes are amazing! You definitely get your dollars worth AND more from this place. and I would consider myself a regular here and it's such a grwat hidden gem!

Completely recommended, I got the tereyaki chicken and pho. Perfect portions. Great costumer service. Nice quiet place on a sat. Afternoon. If anything, some dim music would be ideal.

In the area just north of the border and decided to give this place a try. Situated in a very small strip mall...my first impression was hmmm should we go in? Then we noticed the A on the window and thought since there were many good Yelp reviews let's give it a try. I'm so glad we did!!! This place is excellent!! The waiters and staff all were friendly and attentive. The place was very clean! We ordered the spicy beef with basil, the yellow curry chicken, and spicy shrimp. Everything was DELICIOUS! The chicken dish was a bit spicy hot...but was very flavorful! Be sure to tell them to go easy on spicy heat if you are sensitive. We also started with a crab, tempura shrimp and seared albacore sushi roll. It was fresh and yummy. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!!!

Good family run business. I came and got pho. Lots of different portions. I got the pho and wow the bowl was huge! I barely finished any of it. It was good and delicious. There was two options with meat balls and without. I got the one with out meatballs. Was at the outlets by the mall and decided to come here. Was worried about parking but there is a small parking lot.

I was torn between the tortuga ninja and the breakfast mexipino. Decided to go with the mexipino sandwich and the ube pancake. Ube pancake - served on a pizza plate. Wow factor lol. The pancake was good, however i felt it could have used a macapuno syrup or something coconutty to complement the ube. The drizzle they put on it was good and i asked for extra and it boosted the flavor. This can probably feed 4-5 people depending on how hungry you are. Mexipino sandwich - this was good enough to split. I loved the savory and sweetness and saltiness. All the flavors complimented one another and i did a happy food dance. Calamansi mint drink - it was just ok for me. Reminds me of the calamansi drink from the pouches and they just added mint. It was too sweet for me so i probably wouldn't order again. It's not a big spot but they do have a lot of seating. The staff on duty were really nice. I want to come back to try the tortuga ninja sandwich. They do have high chairs for the little ones. Unsure of the restroom since we didnt use it. Plenty of free parking since this is in a strip mall.

I literally have no explanation why there aren't more awesome Asian places on this side. But thank God there is at least one. It's a literal hole in the wall and as cliché as it may sound it's one of those hidden gems. It's next-door to the Hyatt place; located in the Soriana supermarket building. Even then it's in a hard to see corner unless you know it's there. They really need your help to spread the word . It would be a pity if they are unsuccessful because nobody knows they are there. I've been to a number of quite highly rated so called Asian restaurants in this area and there is not an Asian face to see for miles. Definitely no Asians behind the counter or in the kitchen. The rice is not sushi rice or even jasmine rice, the teriyaki sauce doesn't taste like teriyaki, and the vegetables have been overcooked to death and then beaten to a bloody pulp for good measure. Every time I try one of those places I say a little prayer about the freshness of the fish before I dig in and take one for the team, and almost every time based on the taste of the food I don't even know if they've ever tasted real Asian before. Unfortunately that's especially true about Sushi. I always wonder what the deal is with those places. Did they work in a joint clearing the tables, washing the dishes, and one day they figured this is not too hard I'll go across the border and open my own place!? Who knows. Based on the reviews they seem successful enough. It's not their fault if they're from Chihuahua and they decided to open a Korean restaurant. These kind of weird business decisions are not unique to Mexico.I had the opposite experience in Beijing where a bunch of Chinese people had opened a Mexican restaurant. I had a bowl of Greek tragedy that they insisted was chips and salsa. I begged to differ; but I still ate it all because it literally cost an arm and a leg and I was outnumbered one a half billion to one. Shuyama; however, is it rare exception. I had the Singapore curry noodle with chicken breast. It was lightly flavored And the curry tasted like realcurry and it was not overpowering, the chicken breast was fresh and the portions were very very generous. The price was ridiculously low. I wish this guy the very best. You should absolutely try this place. You will be pleasantly surprised. This is not a fancy restaurant at all. It's tiny but it packs a punch. Right now I'm going to take my own advice and go back for lunch. I'll try something else besides the Singapore noodles.

I was given chips, salsa, and an appetizer soup thing in a cup. The chips were fine. I thought the soup was alright. I didn't like the salsa as I found it too watery and lacking in flavor, more like a hot sauce than a salsa. I ordered two hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll and a salmon skin roll. I thought they were good. I found the salmon skin too crispy and deep fried for my preference, but it was still good. Finally, I realized that not only do I never eat authentic Mexican seafood, I'm not even sure what that entails. So I dug through the menu and saw something called "Don Tono," described as stuffed with seafood, but without much other explanation. I asked the waitress what this Don Tono is exactly, and to my surprise, she wasn't sure either. So, of course I had to order it. It was a big thing of aluminum foil with goodies inside, kinda like a seafood bake. It was good, although I found the flavor to be a undertuned. I would've liked some Cajun seasoning. The best texture and taste was probably the fish itself as it was light and flaky without being mushy, and it absorbed the umami of some of the other seafood. I thought the shrimp and shellfish were just okay, and maybe just a tad overcooked for me. Honestly, I was also not a huge fan of the cheese here; I feel like it doesn't quite fit. I also got some rice and salad with it, which were both fine.
