Mostly standard American sushi. Pretty good for the price. The roll is huge, and it's certainly filling and saucy. I got the special pho, and they gave me a crap ton of veggies. Normally, I would say I can't have too much basil and bean sprouts, but.....jesus that's a lot. I put it all in anyways lol! Even the jalapeño and lime is a lot. I swear, another joint gave me a slice of lemon recently, and this place gives me four slices of lime. I'm guessing they'd rather give it to me than for it to go bad. The broth is not bad either. It looked kinda plain at a first, but the flavor is not bad at all. I did find a couple slices of the steak to be just a bit thick for my preference. I also wish there was more brisket instead. I wish I was a big content creator so that I could shout this place out their pho is just heaven on earth and there's just such a variety of things to choose from like the sushi!!!! For being a the border this spot has solid food. This place is family ran and owned by a Vietnamese family. They may not be the most authentic but the food tastes good. Service is great and the ambiance feels like your family restaurant. I work close by at the moment and plan on coming more often as this is probably one of the better restaurants in the area. read more

My family and I visited for the first time after leaving the las americas outlet. When we entered we were immediately greeted with smiles and my 2.5 yr old son was gifted with a toy and lollipop. We ordered pho and fried rice to go. The food was amazing and we got really nice portions. The pho in particular was the best pho ive had in san Diego so far. The broth was so rich and flavorful. My husband who doesnt even like pho enjoyed it. The fried rice was for my husband and it was cooked to perfection. Not too hard or soft and also very rich. We will be back! read more

I'm glad I found this place! Looked up for some sushi in the area and found them! It's a small family run business and the family is very kind! Their sushi tastes delicious and I even enjoy the buttery salmon sashimi. I second the yellowtail as well! I recommend their pho too! The broth is rich and they give a good amount of vegetables alongside it. So far I really like the salmon lemon roll except I substitute mine with crab meat. I have to vouch for the garlic edamame. We are all very pleasantly surprised to run across this place down near the Mexican Border. It was located in a small strip mall with limited parking, but we luckily found a spot for a late lunch. The restaurant was very clean and had a very extensive menu. They had sushi, thai, pho and asian fusion. We started out with the egg rolls, crispy and hot. We then ordered a sushi roll with shrimp, crab, jalapeño, lemon and seared ahi. Served with a spicy aioli sauce. Next up was a thai yellow chicken curry in a delicious coconut sauce loaded with lots of chicken. This was on the spicy side, and we asked them to tone it down a bit. So there is a bit of hit on this dish. We then had the beef and basil. Lots of beef, onions, mushrooms red and green bell pepper and again on the spicy side. Lastly, was the szechuan shrimp with red and green bell peppers and mushrooms. Some good size shrimp in the dish. Not too spicy, although u can make it as spicy as you choose. The service was top notch. Always checking on us to make sure we had what we needed. Looking forward to trying this place again. read more

Then we noticed the A on the window and thought since there were many good Yelp reviews let's give it a try. I'm so glad we did!!! This place is excellent!! The waiters and staff all were friendly and attentive. The place was very clean! We ordered the spicy beef with basil, the yellow curry chicken, and spicy shrimp. Everything was DELICIOUS! The chicken dish was a bit spicy hot...but was very flavorful! Be sure to tell them to go easy on spicy heat if you are sensitive. Good family run business. I came and got pho. Lots of different portions. I got the pho and wow the bowl was huge! I barely finished any of it. It was good and delicious. There was two options with meat balls and without. I got the one with out meatballs. Was at the outlets by the mall and decided to come here. Portions and prices are the best! Hands down some of the best Asian food I've had. I try to bring the family here once a week.

Tried the pho special #1...broth was lacking in depth of flavor and was oily. It didn't taste like what pho broth normally tastes like. Red onions used instead of white or sweet onions that are normally used. A lot of sriracha and hoisin provided, I can only assume bc you need to add a lot of extra flavors to make the broth taste remotely decent. Broccoli beef was a good sized portion but the sauce/seasonings were so salty I couldn't eat more than a few bites. I will not be back. read more

I was google searching places to buy takeout from whilst finishing up my laundry in San Ysidro and I stumbled upon JJ Sushi & Pho, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed! Family-owned business. Authentic feel and superb taste! I tried the Wonton soup and tropical roll. Both were delicious. Left my dinner plates clean .
