They're all over gp and my friend got a quote from them in the Bloomfield area so they seem to cover a lot of area. I think she said she talked to a Christopher and he sounded busy and next 2 times she called he was out of town, she ended up going elsewhere. Growing up we always had Darrel visiting and he was the most helpful guy. He really knew his stuff and went the extra mile for customers if there was a problem, always super helpful even if they couldnt get through at the office, he answered and seemed to like his job. Vern did the best christmas lights! Hope hes still around... honestly the best. A girl Jenna? Jen? Did them once when he wasnt available and they were sloppy. The secretaries never seemed to know much. The younger current guys always seem rushed and unhappy and the lawn crew has been off their game the past couple years and they always make a mess. My parents said they recently have had nice guys come by... a middle eastern/Lebanese? guy and a bearded guy who are great... not sure on their names. Not service like they used to have. Not the good kind, Red Forest near Chernobyl-style where flora and fauna unseen in Europe since 1420 show up. No, I have the curse of an enormous oak tree desperate to suck all the water from the soil and moss that proved more prevalent than water. A good 40% of my lawn was, in fact, acorn caps. I let it go on too long. Alas for me, nothing short of complete regrading and sod maintenance would do. Stoney's Landscaping is something of a fixture in Huntington Woods and Berkley, such that John was completely booked up the first time I called him last autumn to inquire about ripping out the sorry patches of grass struggling to survive and installing something manageable. It did take a while to arrange for things to get done due to seasonal matters, and I wish I'd waited until the autumn to avoid the insanity of watering a newly planted lawn in the summer. If I could go back in time, I would have pushed for an earlier installation or a later one. Do not make my mistake unless you really enjoy high water bills. That said, though, the whole restoration took about the better part of a day plus a bit of time. A full crew came out, completely eradicated the squirrel buffet I was providing to every grey from here to Ferndale, and flattened out the bumps and dips in my yard present since I bought the house. It was actually exciting to see /flat dirt/. Grading is thrilling when you're a homeowner, okay? They put down fresh sod, they swept my terrace perfectly clean, and I couldn't believe how fast the crew put down roll after roll. They gave clear instructions on how to care for the lawn and maintain my new investment, which involves mostly a /lot/ of watering on a regular basis in 96'F heat. You see why I lament the timing. The work was beautiful. No longer is my property an albatross around my neck. Their cleanup alone is worth every penny, beautifully done. If you want to hire them, do be realistic about timeframes as they are popular, therefore busy. I had a pretty lengthy delay for installation due to the size of the job. Pricing is fair, though as always, get a signed contract if you can. This really hammers down pricing and avoids any surprises. Things you learn as you go. However, Stoney's used Michigan sod with grass that actually tolerates this climate, which was a necessity for us. I was prepared to use rock if I had to, if it meant less mowing and loss. We'll see how the lawn fares over the winter but these are professionals who accept online payment.

I must say, we tasked Greenline with quite a project of grooming a mess that we acquired in our…read morebackyard property line when we moved in. We weren't sure what to expect, but the results were definitely above and beyond what we expected! The process began with a relatively simple and information walkthrough. Prices were not given at the time, but realistic "challenges" were explained to us. In our case it was leftover rock disposal, removal of a shrub, and the potential of uncovering any other surprises while digging and leveling. A walkthrough was completed by a manager/owner(?) and one of the crew members. We were scheduled for a time frame, between 2 and 4 days. On day one it was kind of odd when they arrived because for one, it was around 230pm when they arrived to start. Also, we came to find out that only 1 person was going to be working on the project. It seemed like an incredible amount of work for one person, so we were skeptical. We were working from home throughout this process, so we were able to go take peeks of the progress. The first picture in the collage I attached, easily took the entire first and second day due to the mess and surprise old pond setup. This one guy, with his pick-axe, just kept chugging away at the mess and ripping it up. The truck had to drive away multiple times to dump off the debris, especially the big bush we had ripped out with their Dingo stumper remover. When it was all said and done, they laid down some hay barrier, as you can see in any of the right side photos I attached, to cover the dirt and hopefully prevent anything from sprouting up in the remaining portion of fall. Pros: -very efficient and removed EVERYTHING we asked -great price, was a couple hundred under the quote we were given even though it was more work than expected -excluding day 1, he started around 9 or 10am, took a break for lunch and finished around 6pm -no mess left behind Cons: -left tools and equipment behind overnight and throughout a weekend that he didn't work. Didn't enjoy the liability of someone seeing it and walking up and taking it if they wanted to. Thank you Greenline for everything you did for our backyard foliage renovation! They didn't always do a great first pass of plowing, but if you called to complain, they would come back with bobcats and handle shovels if needed to get your driveway clean enough to see the pavement. The current work included taking down a few small trees, grinding piles of limbs & a dozen stumps, moving boulders & fallen tree trunks to the back of the property, clearing out all the ground growth and transplanting five bushes. The last step I am waiting for is for Greentrees to put down wood chips to inhibit the return of the ground growth. I am very pleased with the results, a much cleaner looking area. Jason and the crew did an excellent job and the crew was great to work with. Their heavy equipment was designed to not leave tracks across the lawn, a big plus to me. Patrick was extremely flexible, allowing me to extend my payments out several months and the office staff was a dream to work with also. Over-all a great experience.
