They examined each volume and offered a fair price for the ones worthy of selling in their store or at book fairs. I learned many of the books were in good condition and very old, yet have little value in the current market. They advised me of where to sell other books in the collection which had little value, were not rare and/or in need of repair. Really nice folks. As a society we must support our local economy by patronizing our independent book sellers. Covina... you have a treasure!

My family and I visited this bookstore today and were disappointed with the experience. We spent time browsing and were never asked if we needed assistance. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming and indifferent, which made us feel like our business wasn't valued. On top of that, many of the books and items seemed significantly overpriced compared to other bookstores. Customer service can make a huge difference in a shopping experience, and unfortunately this visit fell far below expectations. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this bookstore and will not be returning.

The workers are pretty nice there are no complaints there. My complaint is the prices of things as a lot of the stuff there is quite overpriced, especially the textbooks, hoodies and school merch, and the school supplies. The snacks are also pricy and is a bit or miss depending on what you're getting but you're paying for the convenience I guess. Also keep in mind that they have no bags so bring your own.

And as any other university bookstore, be aware during the beginning of each semester, midterm & finals weeks as lines will be long wait before you cash out your items. TIP: BRING A BAG OR REUSABLE BAG if you're purchasing more than a few items. They don't give you plastic bags.

This bookstore is open on weekdays (except Fridays). Staff (perhaps volunteers) are transparent and friendly, though some are not always warm as the others. There are quite a substantial amount of faith-based merchandise inside: from different bible versions (NLT, NKJV, KJV, NIV, ESV, NASB, Tyndale, etc) in different sizes; clothings; jewelry and accessories; bible covers and bags; notebooks and journals; study and commentary books; home decorative items; witnessing tracts; writing instruments and highlighters; as well as children's materials inclusive of toys, books, media items, etc. GSCB usually have "discount" on their items, thus, pretty affordable for purchase. We find ourselves regularly visiting GSCB to collect favorite items such as bibles we could share to friends, and bible verse-based merchandises like The Armor of God collections, Wings like Eagles, The Godly Women, and other interesting find for those who enjoy reading, and even decorating with inspiring or motivational texts. GSCB is open to everyone, not just to members of CCGS. That's what I like the most.

That place felt massive. This location does feel a little smaller, but it's still massive. Plenty of vendors and variety, some shady vendors that will overcharge too much or just be plain rude, but overall it's a great experience as you will find very niche and interesting/weird stuff. You will also find vendors selling things for great prices. Make sure to bring cash and most vendors will give you a discount. The only downside is even with the ridiculously large parking area, it STILL fills up every single day. It's literally always busy, so prepare to walk a lot. Always fun to visit every once in a while.
