It's rare that I'd rate an independent ice creamery lower than a 4. But for now, the best I can do…read moreis a 3.5 with room for improvement based on the untried empanadas. In fact, my main reason for coming was that I was curious about those. But after a meal in Btown the pale, medium sized specimens that had likely sat in their warming case for hours did not beckon me. So I checked out the 8 or so "artisan" options and decided on chocolate. All of the flavors appeared to be closer to gelato, but maybe because they were displayed in metal tubs as gelato places often do. It was dark looking and appeared to be dense, but the flavor was not dark. It was dense but not creamy. The best thing I can say about it is that it was not overly sweetened. My friend had the coconut flavor, and she was not wowed either. It's a cute shop that has housed other ice cream businesses in the past. I liked those more. But there are interesting items for sale such as candy, teas and gifts. The website states that they are affiliated with the Candy Jar in Collingswood, of which I have had occasion to visit in a previous life. Customer service was 4 stars, maybe I'll get back to try the empanadas......

I enjoyed my "gloppity" creation of cake batter and chocolate, with Oreo crumbles, sprinkles (duh!), and peanut butter sauce, that the sweet (pun intended) staff member got when neither of us saw it with the other offerings. I really liked the ambiance (pretty crowded, two cute little ones) and offerings! Just a fun spot!

Two easy reasons why: 1. The ice cream is ridiculously good. I got the monkey Paw(includes, Carmel, peanut butter, chocolate chunks) and it was soooo good. Little one had the birthday cake and went nuts enjoying it. I tried it and also thought it was sweet deliciousness. 2. Had a chance to meet the owner Debbie and she was just the nicest person ever. Such a welcoming person to a newbie in the area and that alone makes me excited to continue to bring the family for some seriously good ice cream flavors. Tons of flavors! Can't s wait to try most of them! Check them out and tell em "Large Marge sent ya!! Muuuahahahahaha!" -ok, don't do that. That was from Pee See's Big Adventure.

The 2 ladies serving the ice cream were so friendly, exactly what you want when getting a sweet treat. Unfortunately the ice cream was lackluster. I thought I was having Breyers. A quick search for places that were still open led us to US Mr. Ice Cream. It was a little out of our way, but we were grateful to find an ice cream spot open until 11:30 PM on a Saturday night. I didn't realize before arriving that it's a walk-up window serving soft serve only, but they offer plenty of ways to customize your order. Between cones, cups, hard-shell dips, sprinkles, candy toppings, milkshakes, and more, there are lots of options to choose from. The service was friendly and efficient, and we had our treats in hand within just a few minutes. Since I needed a gluten-free option and still had a long drive ahead, I kept it simple with a cup of vanilla soft serve topped with rainbow sprinkles. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need, and it definitely hit the spot. The portions were generous for the price, which is especially appreciated these days. There isn't any outdoor seating, and the parking lot is quite small, so I could see it getting crowded during busier times. I also would have loved to see hard ice cream offered in addition to soft serve. Overall, this was exactly what we needed: a quick, affordable late-night ice cream stop with friendly service and plenty of topping choices. While I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, I'd happily stop again if I were passing through and looking for a sweet treat after hours.

They've an impressive range of flavors, and I try to always try a flavor that I've not had in a long time, however I need to have my chocolate cherry more often than not. It's also very common to see people walking along the counter to pick their flavors. If you haven't made a decision, and the people behind you in line know what they want, do the right thing and let them go first. They give healthy scoops, and one scoop, although it doesn't sound like much, might be enough for someone with less post-dinner space available in their belly. If it's your first time visiting, watch the scoops being given to the person in front of you before making your decision. As an added bonus, during Spring and Summer Saturday nights, they have live music in the room as well. It's a cheap, fun date.

We recommend the shop if you know what flavor you want…read more If not, you are clueless regarding the flavors because supposedly since Covid they stopped giving free samples. However, every other ice cream establishment in New Jersey and elsewhere continues the practice of offering free samples. The really silly point is that the spoons are disposable so no disease would spread from the patron to the ice cream container should the patron be infected. And if the shop purveyor had something you would get it anyway since they scoop your ice cream. Please change this practice.
